I think the PC port of GTA V was really good so I have no doubt that Read Dead Redemption 2’s port will be great as well. Maybe that’s just me being a pessimist.

Well, Rockstar’s done a great job making sure they never get my money again.
GTAV wasn’t coming to PC at first either, and GTA Online is now one of my favorite PC games at the moment.
They’re just gonna do the double-dip again. =P
Maybe I’ll pick Red Dead 2 up at some point, but I’m not looking forward to it.
Is that because of them seemingly alienating PC gamers or because of some other reason? I hope it’s for some other reason.

I don’t remember anything that specific; all I remember is that the other Inquisitors were shit. Not only were they’re incompetent but they were one dimensional as well.
Maybe they’ll release that extended Kylo and Snoke conversation as well
It is a really quite average and overrated movie when you go back and watch it again. 7/10

Yeah I understand that, but the fact is that twice in a row he could have easily destroyed one rebel captain and two Jedis as well as one of the most efficient crew of the rebellion and he doesn’t for a “master plan” we - as the audience - have no clue about (not even a hint of some kind, just “they shall see… they… shall… see” stuff).
I’m guessing he traded the pleasure of killing a Rebel Captain, Kanan, Ezra and the rest of the Ghost Crew in order to kill literally every leader the Rebellion has and most of the muscle that backs them up which would include the Ghost Crew. Even if he had killed the Ghost Crew and a Rebel Captain The Rebellion would have survived. Kill the aforementioned, Leia, Cham Syndula, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, etc. and that would be a lethal blow.
This is why I don’t like the way it’s written because there is no real contruction of the main season plot yet, things don’t add up so far, so it doesn’t work well (but it seems I’m the only one bothered by that).
In terms of a linear and straightforward way of story telling I admit this wouldn’t be the way to go about it but if they plan on having Thrawn lead the Rebels into a huge trap he will of course fill the audience in as to the intricacies of his plan. I think the most important part is that the plot makes sense in hindsight. Sure a movie could seem well written upon your first time seeing it but what good is it if it doesn’t hold up when reflection upon and after multiple viewings?
So Thrawn basically gets own by childish tricks for the second time since the beginning of the season ? With a master plan that no one gets ? He seems pretty sure of himself each time but we never see in what way he puts the heroes in real danger. At least season 2’s Vader had a quick plan and within a single episode narrative destroyed half the rebel fleet. Quite disappointed by Thrawn. A weak vilain. I don’t like the way season 3 is written. Weakest season so far.
Makes sense to me if Thrawn is playing the long game.

The surprising part of the trailer (for me) is the huge space battle. We really need a good space battle: TFA space battle wasn’t very imaginative, TPM’s was too short, ROTS opening was not really a space battle and AOTC only had a short asteroid chase. The cgi models for the x-wings seem too “clean” in the trailer (and there is a weird ornage color on the walkers), so I guess there is still some work to be done on the effects before the release of the movie.
I agree. We don’t need something on the scales of the Battle of Endor but we need a space battle which is comparable the size of the Battle of Yavin.
Guardians of The Galaxy - 8.4/10
Very fun film but the only thing I didn’t like was Ronan who was a shitty villain.
For some reason I have the feeling Kylo may be dropped into his training immediately after he is brought to Supreme Leader Snoke as a form of punishment. Though this feeling is primarily based off the novelization.
I think Kylo should get himself a nice suit of armor (more Malgus than Vader but more lightweight) and ditch his robes for possible future events that involve him being shot by Chewie.
The speederbike chase was fun but other than the Endor section of the movie has no redeeming values. I don’t even enjoy the conversation between Luke and Leia about Vader as Carrie’s acting in that scene is on par with her acting in TFA.

I could have sworn we had a couple of spats about the quality of the music or the maturity levels of those who listen to Metal but the bulk of it was just teasing and I have no problem with that and I even deem it appropriate in a few circumstances.

The point of a genre is to group pieces of music that shares a certain characteristic. If you don’t like that specific characteristic, then the genre just isn’t for you.
That’s quite the over simplification when bands like Beherit and Iron Maiden have different styles of riffing, different types of production, different subject matters, vocal style etc. When talking about a genre like Metal you can’t lump music like that into one group because there are subgenres in subgenres and even bands who are in the same genre like Autopsy and Behemoth sound nothing alike.

Most people hate certain genres. It’s not an attitude or mindset (which makes it sound like I’m being unreasonable). I’ll bet you can think of a couple of genres that you can’t stand. Country?
I dislike certain genres sure but I would at least listen to some music from those genres before rendering a verdict.

Death Metal, and most of Metal, is not for me. I don’t need to listen to every band in a genre to know that.
A couple of albums isn’t too much to ask for. Hell, I even listen to a couple of albums from a band before I decide I like them and listen to albums multiple times before I form an opinion. For example I have listened to Dawn of Possession 5 times in the last two days.
Southern Gospel. That’s the only genre of music I can think of that I don’t like. I could say “Modern Country”, but that’s semantics. I love old country music. Pre 1975ish.
I posted a Marty Robbins album ITT and I rated it 8.8/10 so even though I’m not really a fan of Country/Western in general I can still find certain songs or albums that I actually do enjoy.

The presence of a soul can’t compensate for poor writing and characters and that’s why ROTS is absolute ass in comparison to TFA.
