STAR WARS: EPISODE VII: The Shadow Revealed (FAN EDIT BY THAT_OT_RULER) NEW PREVIEW CLIPS

Lol, yeah, the movie had a lot of positives to it, and I’m just trying to maximize my enjoyment of it.

Well it’s your edit and you can do whatever you want with it. It’s just someone like me might not enjoy it as much because I really enjoyed the original product. If anything I’ll still watch it for perspective and for inspiration about what music to add to my edit. Speaking of music I think “Anakin vs Obi-Wan” would work great in the Rey vs Kylo duel.

I might make two edits where one is not as severe of an edit

That’d be best if you want a wider variety of people to enjoy it.

Very excited for the edit! I commend you for taking up the task of removing the music from the 7.1 channels.

I must verify though, are you for sure removing any of these:

-Rey’s Theme
-Jedi Steps/Force Theme at end
-Kylo Rens Theme

I find these three are the most redeeming pieces of the soundtrack. Rey’s theme is a unique and beautiful composition. Same for Jedi Steps, mainly because it ends the film so well. And Kylo Rens theme also gives him a personal and recognizable theme. Just curious and am fine and supportive of whatever you choose to do. Thanks again !

There’s no really convincing him. Plus this edit is clearly for people who didn’t like the film so I would bother trying to sway him on anything. At least he’s keeping the interrogation scene

I’m trying to picture a scenario where walking around with a sex robot as opposed to an actual woman would be cool…I’m drawing a blank.

Why would you assume that people wouldn’t just have them in the house? Of course you’d have the pillow girlfriend having weirdos doing shit like that but most people would just leave the thing in the house.

I mean this is originaltrilogy.com. If anywhere, you expect to find the largest percentage of OT purist here.

That’s true though I’ve always found that level of fanboyism to be baffling anywhere . Liking the OT more than any other SW films is one thing but thinking they’re literally perfect is a bit much.

My experience with regular people is that they mostly either like all Star Wars or not liking any at all.

Interesting, because most people I’ve encountered liked the OT (and now TFA), has never liked any films in the franchise or they haven’t seen a Star Wars film.

Definetly agree with your point about Han Solos arc Haseo. I thought that the way he died just sold it for me. It portrays to the audience how much he has changed as a person. I am so happy that they sent out the character like this contrary to that of ROTJ.

Though I like the way Han died in TFA I’m starting to wonder if him dying in ESB would have been more impactful. I’m leaning towards the former though.

Judging from this forum discussions, there seem to be way fewer people who like just OT. There seems to be many who likes TFA and PT or some combination of it.

A lot of people on here still put the OT (even ROTJ) over everything and they don’t necessarily say how much more they like the OT than TFA or the PT. Though with the PT it’s kind of obvious. Anyway, I was actually talking about the internet as a whole and the fans you encounter every so often in real life. It seems like even criticizing the OT is still a mortal sin to a lot of people.

The only thing that would have destroyed Han’s character arc in the OT would be for him to become selfish again. Hell if anything he’s more selfless than ever in TFA. Him going back to the only thing he was good at makes sense due to his split with Leia

Glad you enjoyed it more this time around 😃

I don’t know why you’d assume that. Making a really good middle film in a trilogy is an especially difficult thing to do.

Maybe I’m just being hopeful but they already laid the ground work for solid stories to be told and if they have taken fan feedback into consideration they should be able to craft a story that’s better than TFA and perhaps one that rivals ESB. Hopefully.

“There are no shortcomings” sounds like an opinion you’re stating as factual too. Unlike you however I can actually defend my viewpoint.

It’s times like this that I’m glad I only got into the OT at 16.

There’s no point arguing with him. The sooner you embrace that, the more you’ll enjoy originaltrilogy.com

Too bad there are millions of other people who have this “The OT is literally perfect and no Star Wars film could ever come close” hive mind. I can’t wait to see how they react to VIII and IX assuming they’re better than TFA.
