There is a difference between a Jedi and someone who says “I don’t know how to turn off the shields, let’s use the force!”
Considering that Rey is able to use a Jedi mind trick without any training (at least that she is aware of), why would Finn not be able to use the Force to turn off the shield generator?

I’ve actually heard someone say that if you didn’t watch Star Wars as a kid you probably got molested. Suffice to say I no longer associate myself with such a person.
When it comes to SW games Knights of The Old Republic I and II are definitely the best plot and character wise. Hell, they even rival the OT and that’s saying something. Of course the funnest ones in my opinion are Battlefront II and Jedi Academy.
Jedi Academy and its plethora of mods were massive timesinks. I just loaded it up a few weeks ago and had a ton of fun again.
I could never get the Evolution of Combat Mod to work. Too bad because blocking would make that game far better.

I think it became embarrassing once the prequels were done. From what I remember – although I admit that this may be entirely anecdotal – Star Wars was viewed as a bloated joke by the general populace. That changed during the buildup to TFA.
And definitely after TFA the bad taste of the prequels is nothing but a memory. If Episodes VIII and IX are on par (or hopefully better) than TFA Star Wars will be back to being the best saga in cinematic history instead of just the biggest one.
It must be because I’ve never been made fun of for being a Star Wars fan. If anything I’ve had some very good conversations with strangers because it’s so loved among the populace.

Ok I must have misinterpreted because the look of the Boris Karloff Mummy looks bad even if it was good for it’s time while the movie itself I can’t comment on because I haven’t seen it since I was a kid. I should dig up the VHS too while I’m looking for my old The Mummy DVD

Well the claims and the weak arguments are everywhere across the internet though it’s most prevalent on youtube and facebook. Popular misconceptions have never been so abundant.
The only times where normies acting as if they really know Star Wars pisses me off is when the collective minds of people who don’t know jackshit try to assert their views on youtube. It’s bad enough that most of these people are entitled and overly opinionated teenagers but with all of the half truths and plain lies told on there it’s almost insufferable.
I can’t really see this working but boy do I want to see it.
The CGI Arnold wasn’t that bad looking. I’d say in 5-10 years we wouldn’t be able to tell if they went with the whole digitized de-aging thing.
