Welcome to Hell-Morbid Angel. (I love Altars of Madness but I like this song much better than the ‘Evil Spells’ it would become. Probably cuz I’m not crazy on blast beats)

For some reason I’m not the biggest fan of Morbid Angels demos though I like the demo version of Chapel of Ghouls even though it doesn’t even remotely touch the original. Especially given the vocals that goes along with the riff at 1:52.

EDIT:

Pestilence - Dehydrated

I’d like it better if it had the studio production but technically it isn’t a demo. instead of just blasting it does something catchy and energetic yet still sinister sounding.

In General I prefer morbid angels studio work I just prefer the song “Welcome to Hell” over “Evil Spells” as a song. (It was clearly based on it)

I don’t know I think the riffs are played a bit sloppily, it doesn’t have the riff at 3:06 (which is my favorite riff in the song excluding the outro riff) and of course has the sub par production but we like what we like 😄

I think the only demo of a song I have ever liked is Creeping Death and Satan’s Fall from Mercyful Fate

I CAN THINK OF LOTS OF REASONS

Other than the reasons I listed above it’s probably the lack of David Vincent on vocals.

Han was also risking his life in TFA for the sake of the galaxy, at least that’s how I saw it. Remember, Snoke is using Kylo Ren’s power. Without it, that weakens The First Order, and with it, it makes them that much more dangerous.

Leia didn’t say anything about The First Order being weakened by the absence of Kylo Ren in their scenes together. She just wanted her son back.

Han risked his life to fight for the Rebels and his new found friend, Luke in ANH. If Han somehow had a son in ANH that he had raised for a while, I think it’s pretty likely that he’d also risk his life to bring him back. He risked his life for Luke in ANH, but he wouldn’t do it for his own son?

Well Han came back at the very last second in an ambush attack after the main battle was over. He was hardly in any danger. Had he came in the thick of the battle I would see where you’re coming from.

As far as what the audience needs, I don’t know exactly with the case of Star Wars. But I’d imagine it’s something to do with challenging material rather than comfortable, predictable cliches.

I would prefer this but a lot of people wouldn’t as they would think it doesn’t feel like Star Wars. Hell, even with how Episode VII turned out there are still people that thought it didn’t feel like Star Wars.

But unfortunately the studio is working with a lot of limitations. The original cast are all senior citizens now. Harrison Ford presumably wanted his character to die. They have a lot of baggage from the negative legacy of the prequels. They spent 4 billion just acquiring the rights to the material, so taking creative risk is practically irresponsible in financial terms. I believe even Abrams explained that they made TFA similar to ANH and the OT so the audience can get familiar before they add new stuff in Ep. 8 and 9. So I get all the decisions they made for TFA. However, I can’t fully enjoy a movie if I’m rationalizing all the cliches based on what ensures Disney’s investment.

TFA had to be an extremely hard movie to make. Not only do you have to appease the core fans but you also have to bring in new and casual fans as well. And a lot of new fans (as in young people) aren’t going to watch STAR WARS so they made it a soft remake. But from now on I do hope for at least films with the illusion of originality like the PT but more than that I’m just hoping for good films.

The Incredible Hulk - 4 stars

I hope you mean the more recent one and if you do I kind of agree. I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes that movie 😃

Hasn’t there only been one film called The Incredible Hulk? The 2003 film was just Hulk.

Oh. I thought they both had the same title…I remember I saw dog scene in Hulk when I was in the 3rd grade and vowed never to watch that movie. I can only imagine how pissed off comic book fans must have been after seeing that shit.

People complained about all the exposition and political drama in the PT and after leaving TFA I feel like a lot of those same people were saying “I wish there was more exposition and political drama!”

Welcome to Star Wars fandom. I can’t believe how many times I’ve heard people say that they wish Kylo Ren was a calm and collected master of the Dark Side who happens to be disfigured but in the post they bash TFA for being too similar to SW.

I mean, if there are still remnants of systems or planets who resist the New Republic, why resort to kidnapping children and brainwashing them to be your soldiers?

It’s funny that the Jedi pretty much do the exact same thing.

Bloodline's waiting on my Kindle, I should be getting to that within the next few days. I didn’t hate Aftermath, but I didn’t love it either. Lords of the Sith was cool in the beginning but felt interminable by the end. I’ll agree with the consensus that Lost Stars is probably the strongest so far.

What did you feel about Dark Disciple or Tarkin?

I liked Tarkin a lot. I didn’t read Dark Disciple.

Read it

Kids don’t have the same ability of adults to cope with it though.

Kids as in ages 7-14 sure but anyone who is over 14 or 15 should not be phased by online teasing.

Because every kid’s emotional/intellectual development occurs at the exact same time as everyone else.

That’s why I gave a 2 year gap for the people who are “slow to evolve” so to speak. Regardless of that shit, getting depressed/suicidal or violent over teasing on the internet is an overreaction for any teenager. Maybe I’m projecting but I was teased and bullied for this or that reason even by my Father until I was like 17 and I never got violent or depressed as a result. And these things happened in real life so from my point of view cyber bullying really ain’t shit.

In hindsight I really like the fact that telekinesis was saved for The Empire Strikes Back, and The Force seemed like something you had to really work at, even for someone strong with the Force like Luke.

With the little bit of “training” Luke had in STAR WARS it was never established that Ben even taught him how to use telekinesis so that ability came out of nowhere. Truthfully both of them shouldn’t have been able to do that.

Good point. I’m assuming Luke was never in contact with Obi-Wan’s ghost until Hoth. So how did he learn telekinesis? However, it’s even more blatant in TFA.

True that but the ST still has the chance to write themselves out of Rey seemingly being OP with The Force. They could have had it so her mind was wiped like Darth Revan and that her abilities started to resurface during TFA and with that the problem vanishes. Unfortunately the same can’t be done for Luke…though Luke’s abilities wouldn’t necessarily by suspect (at least until ROTJ) if the PT and EU didn’t change how the Force and lightsaber dueling works.
