What the hell? That's one of the most ridicilous sounds I've ever heard. Well, I wasn't going to watch the crappy versions anyway.
Here's what I came up with, I didn't find the other covers so I don't know what's in the back or how's the spine. This also has the spine area so the text doesn't look like centered. LMK what you think if I should continue.
How about Puggå <- Swedish 'o'
Well, you have to have some friends in the galaxy, right? Yeah, maybe it's too much that Lando happens to own a city and used to own Falcon but it doesn't take anything out from the movie, from me at least. The whole Cloud City plot wouldn't work if you take Lando out of it.

That's the thing...the only 77 version I have is the dvd release...and let's be honest...the quality isn't that good.
I think it's pretty sad that people rather watch crappy versions just because they're in better image quality. I guess that explains the present Hollywood, then. I mean, people watched movies on VHS for 20 years!

Are these Finnish covers? Cool.
BTW, I hear it isn't very common to do Finnish dubs of films outside Finland except if the film is for younger audiences. Would that be right?
Yes they are. Thanks. :)
And yes, you are right. We have subtitles in our films. Thank goodness! Except for younger audiences like cartoons but usually they also have the original English versions in bigger movie theaters.

To me, the shrinking of the universe via writer's block started with Empire.
What is it in Empire that shrinks the universe? I know you don't like Vader being Luke's father but besides that. I agree with you on ROTJ, though.
Last prequel I watched was TPM on VHS that I bought but that was just checking if the tape was fine, I really don't remember actually seeing the film, LOL. I'm not even sure when it was, this year or last year.
I haven't seen AOTC in at least two years and I watched ROTS on Christmas two years ago when it was on TV. I hope these will be the last time I ever saw them.

Hmm. It's been two years since The Clone Wars movie. I never saw that, and I have no desire to ever see it, so I guess I wouldn't be far off in saying, "No."
I wasn't interested in that, either, and I couldn't care less about those kind of movies but still if done right some SW movies could be interesting.
Yes, but either as redone prequels or then something completely different, like KotOR style. And without Lucas.
Why I hate the prequels most is that they are taking the credit away from the OT. Meaning the OT takes all the crap because of it, I'm fed up with the SEs and constant changing, and I think the popularity of SW is going down because of them. Also there was a time when pretty much everyone loved SW but now if I was to say that I like SW I have to make clear that I'm only talking about the originals. I could care less about the prequels themselves, I can always not watch them and I'm doing just that.
Episode I
Episode II
Episode III

Too bad you threw out those tapes.
All these stories seem to end with "I don't have the tapes but I swear it".

So are these going to be available as DL for those who aren't/can't send the DVDs? Can someone who gets them upload those versions?
YES! these WILL be available at some point for everyone to download, not sure from where yet,but yes, and they WILL be DVD9's.

I don't get why we can't all get along and accept people have differing opinions without cutting them down and judging them or their motives. It's all OPINION anyway not fact.
Say that to "them". They think that we're wrong and we should just get over it etc. At least we can admit that everything isn't perfect unlike these who think everything that has GL's name on it must be flawless.

I believe these SW fans at SW.com are lying their asses off
These aren't just fans, some are from the animated series and some are just other nobodies. I think it's just so funny that they need to make a panel about loving prequels and they're using every trick in the book defending those movies. It would've been even better if someone from OT.com would've been there guessing what everyone's going to say and then shot all those comments down LOL.

There's some good crap for laughs. So sad. :P
Here's my set completed, took whole summer LOL. But I'm happy with the results.
Or "I don't like sand, it gets everywhere!".

They should just put the originals on blu ray with the respective 70mm mixes. Star Wars would then sound phenomenal.
Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. They're not original so I won't even watch them, it doesn't really matter. LOL
Someone should contact Wood about this. He's a fan friendly person, signs his mail etc. so maybe he could even listen to some criticism?
I was 7 when the trilogy came on TV and from the first movie I was blown away. ROTJ was the only one I got to record on video and I watched just it for maybe at least half a year until I got my trilogy. So from the beginning it was always an entertaining movie and I couldn't decide which was better to me, TESB or ROTJ. SW was great, too, of course.
As a kid you tend to see only the positive things, I never had a problem with ewoks, I just waited for the end battle. But now in the recent maybe 5 years, everytime I watch ROTJ I think it's harder and harder to wait for the end battle. Because after the speeder bike chase it feels so dragging and boring and you're just waiting until Luke goes to see Vader. And even after that, the whole Endor battle isn't interesting at all. So for me, from 1 to 10, it's TESB 10, SW 9½ and ROTJ maybe 7½ now.
And about scores... I think SW and TESB are perfect. There isn't a track that isn't good (well, maybe Yoda's theme, I've never been a fan of that) or doesn't capture SW feeling. ROTJ is great, too, but there are some tracks that aren't so. And surprise, it's all the Ewok themes, and some of the Jabba tracks are little boring, too. But then there are themes that are more powerful than in the other movies. "Darkside reckons" always gives me the chills and then when Luke attacks... It's awesome. Also Emperor's themes are great and there are good battle themes, too. Funeral pyre is great, but again, Ewok Celebration ruins it, LOL. So ROTJ kind of compensates the bad tracks with even greater tracks.
