The SEs look great, too. If you guys use the theatrical DTS then it would come close for me if I really should try watch those versions again after many years... Will the SEs be on BD, too?

I agree completely. That's why I didn't get the idea of taking some screenshots to replace the photos at all earlier. But please continue with the good work!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking what you were talking about. Those aren't still frames from the films, but again, production photos. That could make things a lot easier. You could replace them with high res photos and make them look exactly like in the original if you'd want to. But those aren't even looking half that bad, I think they look fine. Much better than some DVD captures for sure...

Those are production photos, not film captures. They aren't qualified for reference.

I don't get it. I meant about the film versions if there are problems with images that you'd want to replace or something. That work there was great and I've seen it already. I don't understand what you were trying to do with screenshots from DVDs etc.

Shame about that VHS. I too am used to the older video version of the credits, but I don't think anything videowise would use the original unaltered credits with wrong return tags since they weren't released or were quickly recalled and junked.

Sorry for this noob question, too, but what are the differences in title scenes and end credits? Is there a site with pics to compare?

There are many stories about him being a little more elitist. Like when signing photographs with Dave Prowse, who always puts Dave Prowse is Darth Vader on them, Guinness puts a question mark there and has written Alec Guinness is Alec Guinness.

I'm looking forward to this project. I haven't listened any of those audio stories so I'm new to these. I only have the movie stories that were translated here (in 1995).

Where have you found these? Any ROTJ stuff? There's much less alternative ROTJ art out there even though they aren't as interesting.

So AOTC doesn't have those added sparks in Jango's rocket pack? Was there something else different between the DVD and theatrical release?

I sold my ROTS VHS to Video Collector. It was released in Finland and IIRC, UK and Australia(?). Was it only a rental version, I don't remember.

ROTS is probably from the same master as the DVD, not 100% sure but like 99.999% sure. AOTC, not sure. Don't have neither of them anymore.

But I have to say, the first transfer doesn't have that good colors, either. The "right" colors would be somewhere in the between. Because of the better clarity I'd prefer this new one... But this should still be fixed with the audio track at some point. Maybe 30th anniversary?!

This poster is pretty cool, it's been used in the upcoming trilogy packs, maybe it'll be the cover. Will wait for the deluxe trilogy next year, though.

Exactly. And sometimes when they bother to include a DVD with the extras and even those are always removed from releases outside the US. Pisses me off. I know it's the depression but jeez, throw us a bone here.

I'm putting up a new thread about the movie (or now, the new BD release) since some info was going to the audio thread. So it seems that Lowry screwed this one, too, even though the image quality is better. And no mono soundtrack.

Damn, it's getting hard to collect BDs from my favorite movies since there's about 50/50 chance they're screwing them up somehow. Seems to me that the more non-mainstream films are getting more truthful transfers.

So the set is released, are the rumors true? To me this seems worth skipping until they're way under 100€ and even then it's a stretch.
