I’m slipping. Hold on. Grab it, almost… you almost got it. Gently now, all right, easy, easy.

This is from the 2004 press release:
Prior to being sent to Lowry’s company, the original negatives of the three STAR WARS TRILOGY films were transferred to high-definition video (in a 10-bit 4:4:4 RGB format) through the telecine process, then sent to Industrial Light & Magic, Lucasfilm’s visual effects company. At ILM, technicians worked with George Lucas to digitally “color time” the movies.
So, Fast & Furious 8 passed TFA’s opening.
Not sure why.
It’s so much bigger!
Nice! Do you know where he got it/why it was cropped? Does he have the film or know someone who has it?
They say it’s… it’s quite a thing to see…
It’s great to see Harrison finally enjoying his SW fandom for the last few years.
I love the poster idea but I’m not totally sold on the execution.
Same here, it’s probably the awkward white boarder which also cuts Rey.
The trailer was very interesting and it seems to go off from the safe zone, it had me very intrigued.
Had to post this pic from the other thread as I really like Rey’s look here. 😃
What’s really interesting is Kenner totally screwed up, thinking Max had a lower torso behind the keyboard, and that design has stuck ever since.

Even though that is old news, Kenner’s version is still better than those butt-hands.
I don’t know who you are or where you came from, but from now on, you do as I tell you. OK?
They’ll soon be back… and in greater numbers.
Having just finished watching Grindhouse this looks superb quality-wise. I’m sure color correcting is still in progress.
Nice! Except the last one. 😉
Having seen R1 again it doesn’t feel nearly as great as for the first two times. I was just waiting for 1,5 hours for the final battle which was way too long convoluted. First you need to search the file, then try to manually get it, then climb to get it, then you need connect to the ship, then you need to hit a lever and then you need to go the antenna and then you need to angle it and then you finally can put the files in. You could have easily cut a few steps… But the biggest problem is that I didn’t care for most of the characters.
Anyways, I still like it more than TFA and even though I wasn’t a fan of the Vader scene at the end, now it seemed to have worked much better. And the movie itself still looks awesome.
Too much contrast IMO but the colors look good.
Got a video poster today and put it into my light-up frame, looks good for a PS job:
They restored Turkish Star Wars!?
They found a print of it and it’s on its way to be restored to my knowledge.
Always interesting stuff, h_h! 😃
What kind of set can we expect? Do you use multiple audio options? I have Finnish dubs that were made for TV, would be cool to have them used. Although they only exist in my tapes which are a little incomplete, too…
(hopefully it may be of use, interest or inspiration for anyone out there 😃)
Not really since this thread was about collecting international logos.
You missed a bit…
"Just a few links to some articles / videos / pictures for information and history on the Star Wars logo, titles, and fonts down the years…
(hopefully it may be of use, interest or inspiration for anyone out there 😃)"
I didn’t, I deleted it. You missed the first post which was asking vector graphics for international logos for people to use. Kind of like you posted a wall of posters on another guy’s artwork thread and many other threads.
She also had a full PC game about her. But to me, all EU characters were secondary.

Who is this guy? I didn’t know there were other people in the Vader suit other than the three OT guys.
According to The Making of Return of the Jedi (iBooks edition, page 577) it’s Harold Cole, a stage technician. He is in front of a painted backdrop, and the shot would only include Vader’s hands.
Cool, thanks! I’m missing the last Making of book.

Lots of the lightsaber fight scenes were done by other actors. Apparently Prowse was bad at it and broke too many props.
No actors were used in fight scenes other than Prowse. I thought Bob Anderson (stunt guy, not an actor) did the fight scenes and he was the third guy in my list. Feel free to throw names if you know this guy…
