Perhaps since the lightsaber didn’t call out to Luke in ANH, we could play into the saber calling out to Rey (in TFA) due to her evil, Palpatine lineage after being the instrument of genocide. Like it WAS like an Excalibur to the chosen one but now it’s tainted and seeks another evil host or something??
Maybe even similar to Harry Potter walking back through Hogwarts after the big battle.
Maybe change the colour correcting to Red, Mustafar.
I doubt it but maybe there’s a way to splice the Mustafar raid with the Kylo v. Vader fan film to make it seem like while he’s fighting that giant group he’s actually just envisioning taking down Vader?

An old, grizzled Jar Jar next to Leia or Lando is what this movie needs. Full circle. From serving as a buffoon general with Padme to serving as the bombad general he grew to be with Leia. It’s like poetry.

Perhaps whenever Rey and Ben are bonded for the first time there could be an echo of Anakin’s voice to imply he’s the one linking them. Not sure what lines would work though and I’m sure that wouldn’t get the message across. Maybe rearrange Snoke’s line “it was I who bridged your minds” to “it was [Skywalker] who bridged your minds”?? It could also be neat to maybe add some of those Mortis-specific sound effects when Rey and Ben touch through their bond or something.
From an EU perspective, we know that the Nightsisters had resurrection-like magics, and we know that Palpatine cowed them during the Clone Wars.
But the key here is that even without knowing that, it still works. The green is a lovely evil shade that takes us off the usual blue-red Jedi-Sith spectrum and implies that Palpatine has tapped into even more mysterious arcane methods to bring about his return.
I think that this, coupled with changing the vats to have Palpatine bodies, uses all of the established Star Wars rules to far better justify Palp’s return:
Cloning technology + ‘many abilities some consider to be unnatural’ + Nightsister magics => ‘More than a clone, less than a man’.
And if changing Ajan Kloss to Naboo works out, the green here can also signify Sheev being reborn in the color of his home since Naboo is mostly known for its greens. Naboo everywhere. Just need to fit in some gungans somewhere to complete the masterpiece!
I had a thought on just changing all the fog in the interior to a greenish and possibly add nightsister chanting from the Clone Wars to add to the resurrection aspect. Not a necessary edit but it could be neat to play around with, and if not it’s just another color change option.

Changing Ajan Kloss to Naboo is also significant to Rey’s heritage should anybody keep Rey Palpatine.
Yeah it’s a pain. The blue lightning, the blue lightsabers, etc. I’ve been trying with what limited color correction knowledge I have, but maybe somebody with more experience can work something out for fun, even if it’s not the most necessary thing.
I was wondering if anybody had thought about attempting to make Exegol more red? I know people have desaturated the blues but in the first teaser if I’m not mistaken it looks like the shot of the A-Wing going down (1:31) is an Exegol battle shot, yet everything is warmer.
imo everybody looked a little chunkier in Ep. 8 which would explain Ben Swolo, as any other shirtless image I’ve seen of Adam Driver doesn’t come close to the swoleness we see there. I remember somebody saying it’s because of the lenses Rian chose vs JJ, which makes sense because I personally feel like people look thinner in TFA and TROS.

Reddit’s missing out! I wouldn’t mind a little tutorial video on how you made it, as I’ve been trying to get more into after effects. Plus that might be a more effective way for people to build off of your work if you were interested in that.
Also, from a logistical viewpoint I’d be far more open to them having lighter robes, as trying to mix the levels/colors of the darker robes turned out to be a biiiiiiitch lol
Have you tried finding a shot of lighter robes similar to what Force Ghost Anakin wears in VI and put his head on like you did with Driver already?
If everybody’s inspired to join the fight by Luke’s sacrifice specifically saying “For Skywalker” and all, that can also be another interpretation of the title. The Rise of Skywalker being the galaxy rising up to avenge Luke Skywalker. I love it! I’ll try to send some recordings today.
That is absolutely perfect and looks seamless enough to have been in the actual movie to me. Only thing is Anakin’s head looks a bit stiff but only upon replays.
Definitely Rey’s parents should’ve just sold her for their own selfish reasons I think. Han and Leia abandoned Ben because they thought it was best for him, while Rey’s parents abandoned her to benefit themselves. Those are really good - I think easily fixable - lines for Rey to have.
