I've been playing it on & off for a while. It definitely sucks up a lot my time. Haven't used any mods yet.

I'm playing Vanilla too. Been playing all yesterday afternoon till night, and this morning right after I woke up, till 16:00 (obviously minus the time for dinner, breakfast and lunch).

I've made a lot of progress, even after a stupid creeper blew my house up. I had to rebuild everything from scratch, but this time I made sure to choose a slightly better place, and to put torches all around the house. I haven't been bothered yet. It also helps to build a bed as soon as possible.

... I actually finished a couple of games recently!...

Oh yeah, I finished the first episode from the original Doom.

This is another example of a game that doesn't need today's fancy graphics, endless narration and cutscenes, to be not only compelling and addictive, but also pretty damn scary!!

Curiosity landed on Mars!
Time

Would you guys say there's not that much interest in space since... well, the 70's? Nowadays, if something happens in the scientific world regarding some new conquers in the matter of the colonization of outer space, it gains a little attention in the news, say a couple of weeks, people may think "huh, neat" but then it's quickly forgotten in favor of some blonde bimbo who gained her 15 minutes of fame doing something absolutely inane and vulgar on tv.

I mean, let's face it, space, sad as it is, has lost its appeal.

....Meet Leo, dispenser of platitudes...

Was there a traumatic incident in the past that involved sock accounts? I've only been around for just over one year.

Nothing traumatic that I recall, but not long ago the two brothers from "Frasier" showed up and were almost immediately locked. The joke was totally lost on me because to this day I have never seen an episode of Frasier. I did however recently catch up with the first 4 seasons of Cheers.

The Crane brothers (and Thermostat much later) are the only socks to be created for the lulz, I think, and they didn't live long.

Handsome pilots whose job is to point out the obvious, however...
