HI-Res Poster Art

Anyway, I've been working hard on my covers for the recently acquired Cowclops V2 set. The covers for the three movies are basically complete (hopefully will finish sometime this week). I'm trying to find the right image for the special features disc, and I would love to try a certain piece of Struzan art. Specifically I need to find a hi-res copy of this painting:

I've been looking pretty hard across the net but to no avail. On Grisan's cover site, under the misc. section (http://kevin.alfahosting.org/misc/) someone has used this image. Unfortunately the links are broken. So any help in located the image would be great. Thanks

I've scanned the complete image, although it was printed across two pages, so I've tried to retouch the seam as good as possible. Here's a preview:

And here's the link to the full-res thing:

I must say, I would love to have a rip of the KotOR2-soundtrack from the X-Box. Regarding KotOR1, the X-Box version had the soundtrack at 192kb/s (the PC version only at 128). The PC-version of KotOR2's soundtrack now only comes as 32KHz and MONO!! (I bet the X-Box version has higher sound quality, as it did with the "Emperor's Tomb" soundtrack).

Well, just because the image is around 6K by 8K in size it still isn't THAT hi-res since it's just scaled up from the scanned game box (plus there's still the annoying system-specs sticker on it) and doesn't show any more detail than in its original size. By the way, that scan is from HERE, and was scaled up for a project named "ridiculously large cover scans" (of course with the idea of printing posters).

Non-DVD transfers?

Was that from a broadcast? Or is it available, like Terminator 2, on some HD-DVD format?

It was from the broadcast... unfortunately it was cropped on the sides to fit a 16:9 aspect ratio, also I don't mind too much, consindering the image quality.

Was there a HDTV-broadcast of "Menace"? Does anybody know?

Non-DVD transfers?

Actually I am planning on doing exactly this with all of the SW-movies. Since I've seen the HDTV-DivX of "Attack of the Clones" on my new 32" HDTV-LCD (via DVI input) I am looking deparately to get the HDTV-version of "Phantom Menace" as well. As for the OT (from which I assume no HDTV-versions exist), the pristine 2004-DVDs are simply perfect for upscaling them to 720p. I've done a 5-minute test-clip of "Empire" upscaling it with several AviSynth-filters, and the quality just blows the DVDs away easily.

I know, people keep saying that upscaling doesn't add anything to the image, but that's not true. AviSynth-filters like "LimitedSharpen" add artificial detail, and really make the image look outstanding (especially when fed to the TV via DVI instead of RGB-scart). Here some samples:

Empire Sample 1
Empire Sample 2
Empire Sample 3
Empire Sample 4
Empire Sample 5
Empire Sample 6
Empire Sample 7
Empire Sample 8
Empire Sample 9
Empire Sample 10

On closer observation there are some artifacts visible, which make the image look like it's painted... these are only visible on stills. When in motion, they get pretty much compensated.

Info & Help: looking for... other ld-rips to dvd movies ex. blade runner int cut, songs of the south, frighteners dir cut - and much much more...

I'd be VERY interested in a DVD-copy of "The Frighteners" Signature Collection... especially the 4 hour documentation. I got that one from eDonkey a while ago, but the quality was terrible... and the image was stuttering like hell. Any chance that anyone here could make a copy of the docu (maybe split onto two DVDs) or even the whole set and share it? MySpleen maybe?

HDTV versions...
Time
Hey there.

I was wondering, after watching the HDTV-version of AOTC on my new LCD-TV (mediocre film, awesome quality), are there HDTV-versions of the other movies as well? If I remember correctly the 720p-version of AOTC was shown on TV... what about TPM? Or the OT (even if just the SEs)... is there a way to get a hand on a HDTV-version of any of the other movies? I am asking, because I am planning on putting hi-def versions of the movies on DVDs, since even the scaled up versions of the 2004 DVDs (using AviSynth with Limitedsharpen) blew the DVD-image away tenfold...
