Idea: sharing the Isolated Music Tracks
Time
A "real" separation of dialogue, music and sfx isn't possible, although sometimes it works by taking only the rear surround-channels, which are only used for music and sfx. Unfortunately with Star Wars being the SFX-movies they are, you're always gonna have sound effects in there too. People did it, but the results aren't that satisfying.

Quality- and editing-wise I would prefer building the music tracks from the existing recordings (I guess the 3 2-disc sets of the SE-soundtracks and the 4-disc "Soundtrack Anthology" should contain all material necessary). I suppose that's what the creator of the ISOMIX-set did.

I don't have that set, but if someone could demux those tracks from the discs and upload them somewhere (yousendit.com, megaupload.com, rapidshare.com) they could be spread a little better (and get torrented eventually)

Classic Edition: The Empire Strikes Back by Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
I thought it was a good idea to post this inside this thread...

Is there a way to obtain the isolated score-tracks on their own? I've already got the ANH Classic Edition, so I'm only looking for the TESB and ROTJ tracks. I want to put together the ultimate PAL-set for me, which includes Mother's transfers, the German audio tracks, the mono mix(es?), isolated scores and audio commentaries.

I've seen that MoveAlong appears to have at least the TESB-one upped somewhere... may I get it from there?

Right now, nowhere, since some of the back-details are in German (like rating, credits and stuff). But I might put the German versions up if there's interest... and as I said, if someone can fix me up with 600dpi-scans of the english back-covers, I would do english versions.

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time
Alright, I've done these covers somehow in a rush, so I used the scanned backs of the original covers for my back covers to save time (except for "Clone Wars" and "A Musical Journey"). Note that these covers are (for the most parts) in German, so if you want these in english, someone has to send me some hires scans (600dpi please) of the english backs. Possible? Anyway, here they are:

Info: The Frighteners - Signature Collection laserdisc preservation thread
Time
I got my set yesterday (here in Germany it's a 4-disc set including the theatrical AND the director's cut), and just had a quick look. Looking great altogether, and the 4 hours of making-of stuff are just fantastic (though I've already seen the laserdisc-transfer of it). The design of the digipak suits the movie very well, the only drawback of the set is, that the menus are not animated (though I don't know if this applies to the RC1-set as well).

Info: The Adventures of Brisco County Junior
Time
Last year I did an own Brisco-set over the cause of a few months. I used the SVCD-versions floating around eDonkey as my source for the image and the English audio, as well as German pay-tv recordings of the show for the German audio. The whole thing was a 7-disc set in PAL, including animated menus and it became a present for my big brother on Christmas. I've even created a box set cover (for a 7-disc AlphaPAK)... nothing too spectacular, but fair enough:

I think the DVD he was talking about was the "Production Diaries" DVD-set for "King Kong"... I don't believe P.J. is involved in the "Frighteners" DVD-set, other than the new intros, since it's basically a DVD-version of the LD (which was of course supervised by P.J.).

Idea: Wing Commander III & IV cut scene footage - plus other bits wanted.
Time
Although the item title says DVD, the description says that it's 6 CDs. Plus, the packaging looks like from the CD-version, because the DVD-video-version comes in a simple cardboard slipbag, without manuals or a box. (it was part of the Creative Labs' "Encore DX3" DVD-decoder card, although by now a patch has been created by fans, to play the DVD-version under XP without the hardware).

George Lucas Caught Up in Union Battle
Time
I've done several movies as well by now, and I can confirm that frustration is a part of it from time to time. Things don't work well all the time, so these moments get frustrating... of course, seeing something work out is just as satisfying, so there's both worlds in there.

You might say that working on a "Star Wars" movie must be the coolest thing to do, but remember, Burtt has been in there since the first movie, so I guess the wow-factor is gone by now.

Try to get your hands on the DVD-version of WC4 (floats around eBay from time to time), it has every cutscene as a separate VOB-file on it (in DVD-quality). There's also another DVD-version of the game, which simply has the 6 CDs put together... don't get that one.

Oh, and a lot of other stuff (outtakes, deleted scenes, making ofs) can be found in the media section of http://www.wcnews.com/

Help: looking for... Original Trilogy preservation project w/ German audio?
Time
I was thinking about this kind of project as well... actually I was planning on picking the best parts out of the several sets out there.

The video would be taken from Mother's PAL sets (after all a German set has to be in PAL, and Mother's sets are the best, qualitywise, hands down). Furthermore I'd like to include both German and English audio-tracks, an isolated score track (which set were they on again? I only have it on the "Star Wars Classic Edition"), several audio-commentary tracks (the one on "Classic Edition" is a pretty nice edit from several interviews) and maybe different angles for both German and English opening cards and crawls. All this stuff would of course justify a dual-layer disc per film, but as DL-discs are getting cheaper, this wouldn't be a problem I guess.

Audiowise I encountered a problem though... as a start I checked if the audio from my rip of the German THX-LDs does sync up with Mother's set, and it doesn't! So, where would I get a German audio track that does? I wouldn't mind editing them in Premiere to match up, but I am low on HD-space right now.
