Anybody ready for an edit of this?
This will be my first edit, and as such, will probably take quite a while. I can’t even get past the planning stages until my DVD finally arrives (Won’t ship until the 29th, since I’m waiting for it to ship with the OST).
Anyhow, first of all…
SPOILERS MAY/WILL/ALMOST DEFINITELY WILL FOLLOW
Alrighty then. Changes I plan to make:
-Basically add my own subtitle track that will make small changes to the dialogue, hopefully to clarify things. And to change Vincent’s line when he arrives on the battle scene (no matter how you translate it, it leaves you with a “wtf?” feeling…)
-Re-order the beginning scenes and remove some of them. I honestly want to start the movie off with the scene of the Cloudy Wolf at the Buster Sword, but I’m trying to figure out where to insert the vital parts of Marlene’s dialogue (mainly introducing Geostigma and Denzel).
-Try to get rid of the continuity error in the forest battle scene (Cloud pulls out the main sword and a notched sword, but falls off of his bike with the main sword and the “red rod” sword).
-Get rid of the “questionable” editing right when Rufus jumps off of the building (Kadaj’s expression while being shot suddenly changes two frames later)
-Re-edit the placement of the Turks scene at the end of the tunnel so it happens before the tunnel battle, and also alter one of their lines to “Let’s plant this and get out of here,” or something of the ilk, then edit out Reno’s smile right before the explosion. I always thought that it was really wierd that both Reno and Rude survived the explosion without a scratch (Whereas Yazoo and Loz were in the process of dying).
-Still working on some other stuff, heh.
