That's been pointed out. It's all about finding a replacement. Also, those covers are designed for the 04 DVDs(check the extras). Currently, some typos have to be addressed on them as well, just check some pages back.

Well, I'm still an hour into it. I just saw the part on scoring it(with tons of the real battle of Yavin). Funny how they left out the part that Lucas wanted to use classical music, and Speilberg was the one who introduced him to Williams. I cheered for every OT shot featured.

I'm on the US west coast, so they've just started airing it. They'll re-run it afterwards. Ironically, they played it right after the Biography of Steven Speilberg, also titled "Empire of Dreams". I saw a few minutes of that. He's remaking War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise!? I hope that falls through. The last one(ID4) was one of the worse films ever made.

I see where you're going with this, but fail to see the point of it. The main reason most don't like the SE is that they find the changes needless. Adding new, even better footage wouldn't change that. AS such though, if something could be done where it didn't look as half-assed as the SE(the things you mentioned like the new Massassi Temple and little speeder trainpassing under the Falcon's platform are OK, but not necessary), I could see some sort of "fan SE in the works". Given modern technology, with enough patience, skill, and know-how, we could probably make our own "update". If solely to show Lucas how it's done. Welcome to the boards, fellow KotOR fan.

In that case, its not entirely a bad thing. After all,the black smudge causes a loss in information any way. I saw a documentry on how they restored Sleeping Beauty. They practically recomposited whole scenes to clean up the image through clone techniques. Its an interesting process. When I said I'd remove the matts, I pretty much ment I would leave no actual change, only keeping the "restored" footage. New Yavin: gone; new Mos Eisley: gone; new Bespin: gone; new Jabba: gone: Coruscant: most definitely gone. None of the changes hold any marit with me. I'd even pull the Biggs scene, as the absence of the Anchorhead footage makes the scene pointless. You have the end of a subplot that was never set up. Like I tend to tell people, I'm about as anti-SE as they come.

^ That just goes to show how this could never easily work. We all have different views on what the "good changes" are. Myself, for instance, would scrap just about everything but the removal of matt lines. So in the end, I'd wind up keeping nothing for the SE.

I'm reminded why I hate IGN. Ads, offers to remove such ads with money, and more ads. Not to mention material available elsewhere, free. To top it off, we get blabbering about, "superior editions"? Half-assed CGI isn't superior to anything. Though I take issue with his phrasing, not his preference.

Divx DVD players? I've never heard of such a thing. Then again, they did release progressive scan S-VCRs, so I guess anything's possible. Well Riktar, if you can fill it, I will burn it. Though I have no downloading time problems.

Yes, that was in the SE. That one has the distinct honor of being among the very few changes I never noticed(I have P&S copies). Jimbo, no new Hoth ground battle scenes have been reported. What's your source?

Ooooooh, yet one more version of the OT ? Sounds great, but with my current torrent cutoff problems, I'd like to get an expert's opinion on that before getting it ... hopefully some "unbiased" person will give us some first-hand experience insight on the quality and such ?

Thanks for the info, I'll look into the firewall. As for the pop-ups, I had figured out how to remove the "low-battery" ones(I'm on a laptop), but the HDD ones are a moot point now. In order to back up my drive with my burner broke a got a 160 external HDD for a good price. That should covers things for a while.

Riktar, great news, but it's a shame the file is too big for a CD-R and too small to justify a DVDR. Beggers can't be choosers, I know.

Damn, I just finished downloading the TR47 set too(literally, Azureus is making the final check on Jedi now). As for the old anamorphic rip, could someone rip the audio commentary to mp3 format please? Then you could play the TR47 in Media Player Classic with the commentary.
