agreed, droids cant use the force because they are not alive. The force is still all around and in them, and has an effect of there existance, but they can not wield it. I am not a big fan of the midi idea either the force was better as a mystic thing, and not a science thing...

i started using bit torrent for the first time and my downloads are collectively topping out at between 15-20kbs. i have dsl and should be getting much better speeds. How can i fix this???

good question...and if you ever find out why they didnt maybe you can also figure out all the other clean ups they missed. AKA the sound in ANH, the emporers slugs in ROTJ, and various other mess ups i have heard grumblings of...

Reading crap like that about his fans opinions makes me regret every single penny i have spent on any and all Star Wars related merchandise. Not to mention all the other people i have turned on the SW.

One of the good things about this is that many non purist would most likely join the cause. I know many, many PT/SE/NEW DVD Gushers that still would love to have a restored surround sound copy of the O-OT.

Not a bad idea......what if we did that...but have everyone not only mail on the same day/week, but mail out 20 letters each! That outta get some attention.

you could even get your freinds and family to sign the letters for a more dramatic effect.

Also perhaps you could host a copy of the letter on the internet so that the sender would only have to print out the letter and send it. I like the quote on the opening page of this site, and think if this letter writing campaign takes place that it should be integrated into the letter.

Thats the thing with changes to the films that really pisses me off. Well besides the fact that most of the changes are on a whole new plane of stupid. When i watch them it seems like they were just thrown together, not given a second thought. Like the Jabba scene, Han steps on the hutt with his armed guards standing around???? GL is always grand standing on how he is a perfectionist and how these movies are his babies and he wants to see them like he did in his mind. THen why the piss poor effort georgy?

Just have the same letter printed off the cp mailed over and over. noob kingsama here, i was just wondering which would be better, a) going with the methods of getting a dvd copy mentioned through out this form, or b) going full LD.

My THX o-OT got lost/stolen when my mom moved while i was in my senior year in college.... and i WILL NOT watch the SE or new DVD's, well maybe watch but never pay for...

i need your help

wish i could help, but i stopped reading EU after Ep 1 came out and after trying to read the crystal star what a bad book. But that sounds like a resonable way to explain the inconsitency...

Try not to think about all of the non-continuity of the films... It will make you head hurt. (not to mention all the needless parallels)

as for this little subject.

It is my understanding that all beings have a relationship with the force, but only certain beings are born force sensative, this seems to be genetic. As for how the midis work, i realy dont know, but would assume the higher your count is the great probablity you would be force sensative.

I hate the PT version myself. Yoda speech about the nature of the force is wonderful, where as qui gons musings over medicalorian counts is terrible. sad sad sad it is...

I have talked to just about everyone i know about the DVD's. Most of them know about my dying love for the movies and come to me excited about the new dvds. After that i generally tell them about some of the changes, usually the change in anikin at the end, how lame the whole idea of jabba is, how G lucash hurt hans character by having greedo miss from less than 2 feet away, and then finally mentioning red rocks(gotta mention that last for dramatic effect.). i get mixed reviews, half the people are taken aback by the fact that Lucash will not release the OT untouch, 1/4 react in an angery manner because they thought it was OT being released, and the remander are still gonna buy it....

So i am a noob here, and the noob question of the day for sama is why is Kevin Smith disliked around here?

While watching the When Star Wars Ruled show i got the feeling that he wanted to share his displeasure with where star wars had gone, but held back, got the same sense from harrison too.

anyone else pick that up or am i just suffering from delusions of granduer...

i never really minded any of the cleaning up/remastering of the films i.e. taking out matte lines, improving image/sound quality, liht sabre quality improvement. Heck i think that i will enjoy the eye being updated and the language changed. Further more i didnt really mind biggs or the addition of further wampa footage in ESB. BUT that would be about it. Most of the content changes drive me insane...

"Jedi Rocks" might be the worst idea ever...
