As to the rounded corners, they were there from the very first WP and no one's complained about them until now, so they are obviously not a big deal and since I like them and it would be a serious hassle to remove them now, even if I wanted to, I don't see any point in discussing them any further.

Agreed, i watched the all the final WP last night and did not even notice them, and i never noticed them in the first WP like most people here...

As for suggestions i don't have any, the movie looks the best i have ever seen it so im happy, thanks for your dedication to these films :)

Are those rounded corners present throughout the whole film? I can't say I really agree with that decision, they look distracting to me. They look like the edges of the film, which would never be visible in the theater or on home media.

I just had a quick my look at the final workprint on my laptop, and in my opinion it does not seem distracting, in fact i would probably not have even noticed them without reading about them here, but i guess its all about what you prefer.

Looking forward to watching this on my tv later, perhaps the corners are more apparent on a big tv but its looking good from what i have checked so far, thanks for the upload Harmy.

ivory tower

3 variations on the ivory tower, taken from this page http://nzpetesmatteshot.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/the-skys-limit-part-2-more-matte-magic.html

Also check out this site http://www.caroleenjettgreen.com/portfolio/fx/ the artist has uploaded a picture of her painting, you can email her if you like, perhaps she can help answer some questions?

kk650 it was talked of earlier in the forum, and it seems like german/japanese release is the easiest to work with and fix, all the releases have there problems such as bad colors, crushed blacks, print damage/dirt, dnr etc, having compared shots of the German release with the Dutch and U.S it seems to me like the detail is still there in comparison, but it looks artificial because of the dnr, but Team Blu aim to fix that.

[spoRv] projects - past and future

I only watched this movie once and did not think it was great and remember that it was dark, i have to admit the first movie is a guilty pleasure of mine even if the acting is not good. I would be interested to see a colour edit of this movie, just to see what details can be dug up. Here is a review of the BD here http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Aliens-vs-Predator-Requiem-Blu-ray/696/

There seems to be some debate about which version is more accurate, from what i have read it seems the Dutch release has the more accurate colors but the print has some dirt or damage im not certain? the US release is too dark, and the latest German release has too much dnr, personally i would like to see the US release with colours corrected, as for adding grain to dnr'd movies that does not bother me if the end result is good. I'm sure this will turn out great which ever version/versions TB choose .

Btw whoever suggested to do Neverending Story to Team Blu was Genius ;)

I'm not sure if The Neverending Story is still on your todo list but i just thought i'd point out that the new german extended remastered blu-ray has way to much dnr, i'd like to get my hands on the dutch blu-ray as i've heard that one is the best out so far.

I guess it just looks odd compared to the SW crawl, and I attributed the oddness to SD.  What's the source?  Puggo?  Either way it stands out--the sharply-defined Star Wars logo and the considerably less-defined crawl just don't seem to go together IMO.

I see what you mean about the crawl, it seems like there is some ghosting going on with the text, strange that this is on the official blu-ray.
