Agreed, i watched the all the final WP last night and did not even notice them, and i never noticed them in the first WP like most people here...

As for suggestions i don't have any, the movie looks the best i have ever seen it so im happy, thanks for your dedication to these films :)

I just had a quick my look at the final workprint on my laptop, and in my opinion it does not seem distracting, in fact i would probably not have even noticed them without reading about them here, but i guess its all about what you prefer.

Looking forward to watching this on my tv later, perhaps the corners are more apparent on a big tv but its looking good from what i have checked so far, thanks for the upload Harmy.

I love seeing the difference in those 2 images, great restoration work there, the colours look really good. I am looking forward to this release more than any other!

I just checked the comparison video of your wider shots and i think it looks very good, did you use upscaling alone to achieve these results? or did you merge the blu ray footage with the upscaled gout footage?

I will be getting this up when i get a broadband connection again, i just moved house... in the meantime could someone be kind enough to give a quick review or comment on what they think of this project after testing it, i am interested to know how much this dark movie has been improved.

I just watched the workprint and i must say it's impressive, the colours look really good to me, and this is my favourate of the sw movies, so i am really excited to see this released.

I remember borrowing the UHE from a friend, it was like watching toy story for me and the colors seemed off, i was straight on amazon and got the mpeg2 original release.

kk650 it was talked of earlier in the forum, and it seems like german/japanese release is the easiest to work with and fix, all the releases have there problems such as bad colors, crushed blacks, print damage/dirt, dnr etc, having compared shots of the German release with the Dutch and U.S it seems to me like the detail is still there in comparison, but it looks artificial because of the dnr, but Team Blu aim to fix that.

 I think that out of every shot, your colors look better by far. I remember seeing a matte painting of that ivory tower shot recently, wished i'd saved it but yours looks as close as i remember to those colors so you did a great job imo.

Will you be creating a menu for TNES? if so let me know i may have some artwork that could be useful.

I only watched this movie once and did not think it was great and remember that it was dark, i have to admit the first movie is a guilty pleasure of mine even if the acting is not good. I would be interested to see a colour edit of this movie, just to see what details can be dug up. Thanks for the info on the U.S. release, do you know how the german release compare as far as color accuracy?

There seems to be some debate about which version is more accurate, from what i have read it seems the Dutch release has the more accurate colors but the print has some dirt or damage im not certain? the US release is too dark, and the latest German release has too much dnr, personally i would like to see the US release with colours corrected, as for adding grain to dnr'd movies that does not bother me if the end result is good. I'm sure this will turn out great which ever version/versions TB choose .

Btw whoever suggested to do Neverending Story to Team Blu was Genius ;)

I finally got around to getting this release, and i must say great job, the colours are fantastic :)

Before i burned this i made a icon that shows on the ps3 xmb menu, if anyone wants to use it i have uploaded it, just unzip the meta folder and add it to the bdmv folder.

Looking forward to this one SpoRv, i remember having this one on vhs and it was dark on that, so its nice to see some colour for a change XD.  I can't seem to find the HDNet rip of this movie, if anyone knows were to find it let me know as i'd be interested in seeing this version.

I live in the uk but the price is kinda high, i would be willing to buy it if nobody else can help. TServo2049 your right DVDoutlet.nl does seem like the best option for the price.

There is a 3 - 4 gb hdtv rip out there, i used to have it but my 1tb hard drive died not long ago, time to make bd disc backups in future :(

I'm not sure if The Neverending Story is still on your todo list but i just thought i'd point out that the new german extended remastered blu-ray has way to much dnr, i'd like to get my hands on the dutch blu-ray as i've heard that one is the best out so far.

I see what you mean about the crawl, it seems like there is some ghosting going on with the text, strange that this is on the official blu-ray.
