Empire '97 SE
Time
Just for info, Clive Revill has just made the voice for the original ESB Emperor. A woman made the appearance of the original ESB Emperor. It's not really visible, due to the prostatics and the holographic effect, but doing all that again for ROTJ would have been quite difficult...

Personaly, I've never liked the original emperor, and at the time of SE, I was disappointed that this scene has not been modified. So, I must say that I like the 2004 edition of the emperor, even if I don't really like the changes in the dialogues of this scene...

I must say that I really love all the work which has been done for Bespin in the SE ESB. And it's not just a "more-cooler-looking" version, it really looks like McQuarrie's early paintings.
About Vader's Shuttle, it doesn't disturb me, but I must say that those scenes are pretty useless...
Concerning Boba's voice, I prefer the original voice, but for the sense, Boba having Jango's voice, well, it's pretty understandable, no?

My certain point of view is that the series is a unified saga, therefore the coloring on the DVD's should be unified.

Adam shut the hell up your so annoying. The OT will always be better than the PT(thats why its Platium). Don't get me wrong i love the Pt yes even TPM but the OT is better!!!!

Hey! Calm down!
Everyone has the right to give his opinion, even if it bother you! I find you rude and really intolerant. Hey! It's just entertainment movies, you don't have anything else to do in your life?...

Cool covers Ell! And even if they are ink-saver, they don't look "poor-graphics", great job!

But I have a question: if you've made covers, then I guess you have Ewoks episodes. Where can I get these?

YOU CAN ALSO GET THEM BY BUYING THE OFFICIAL EWOKS ANIMATED SERIES DVD. THEY EVEN HAVE A DROIDS ANIMATED SERIES DVD.

WELL, THANK YOU, I KNOW, I'VE ALREADY BOUGHT 'EM.
But like Ell has said it, the official releases haven't all the episodes. And the few episodes available are edited in 2 big movies... It's not what I'm looking for...

Oh, it's good to know that!
Honestly, it was exactly what I was imagining, but I was really wondering how it would be "officially" explained, and I was feared that they put the series into the "Star Wars Infinities" section...

...mpff... missa just kidding!
About the humor, I agree, and most of all I was agree with an interview of Mark Hamill who said (at the time of TPM) that there was no humor cause there was not any "Han-Solo-type-guy", some sort of "outside" character...

Another thing which disturbs me in the PT is just Naboo. The planet is not ugly, but you know, I'm european, I'm french and I live in the Alpes (famous european mountains which cross France, Italy,...), and so, not far from Italy, and I must say that the look of Naboo (Renaissance style buildings, lacs, mountain meadows,...) is just too close and too familiar to me. I really have difficulties to see it as a sci-fi planet, or just exotic planet. And in TPM, we stay long time on Naboo...

Personaly, I enjoyed TPM when I've seen it in theatre. I was a little bit disappointed by the editing, cause the movie seemed to be more a "little-sequences-suite" (I don't know how to say that in english) than a one long movie, but I really enjoyed the show. The Pod race has really blow me up! I didn't know such thing was possible at this time, even if I was a big SFX fan.
But don't make quick conclusions, I'm really not interested in "visual-effects-only" movies...

Jar Jar? Well, I must say that I've found him pretty useless, but he didn't really bother me. About the other characters, I must say that I've found weird to use again 3PO and R2. For me, they have always been regular droids who were at the wrong place at the wrong moment in ANH.
On the other way, I really enjoyed "Qui-Gon" character, but the matter was that, from my point of view, the film was turning around him instead of anakin, and that was not the inital intention of that movie... Oh, and BTW, I've read track titles from the OST too, before seing the movie, and I was already aware of Qui-Gon's death...

So, I enjoyed it. But you know why? Just because I love the Star Wars universe (and it was well depicted in the movie), and cause I've always seen Star Wars as entertainment movies. I think that a lot of fans are taking all this too seriously, and have forgot that they were kids when they've seen the OT...

I enjoyed it? Yes. But it's really not my favourite Star Wars episode. But I've just took the PT as a new and different era in the SW universe. I've never been really disappointed by the PT, cause, from the begining, I've always though that the new episodes would never be as good as the OT. From that point of view, the new movies were just fun and entertainment for me, and you know what? SW is just that. It's a QUALITY and pretty smart entertainment made with good intentions (that makes difference with all those Hollywood blockbusters!), but that's all.

And concerning the release, we were not lucky in France, cause the film aired in septembre '99 (5 months after the US release!)...
I hope that all I said was understandable, sorry for my english...

Thanks a lot for the titles, crypto! And for the scenes you don't remember, they might be alternate scenes (when you fail in a mission, but the story continues anyway, if I remember well...)

Shadows of the Empire - a TV show idea?
Time
That sounds pretty good! I'd love to watch SOTE in CGI TV show. Personaly, I've found the book really good, and it has gave birth to famous and good characters as Dash Rendar and Xizor. And the most interesting point of it, is that the story takes place between ESB and ROJ, which sounds very exciting to me!
The only matter about it, that's we would not be able to see Han again...

Hardcore Legend, this though is only yours or have you heard rumors about it?

For a good SW TV series, I think that the whole Rogue Squadron novel series could be a very good material too! It has great moments such as the attack on Coruscant, when the Rebel Alliance takes back the capital city.

The TIE Fighter CD? You are sure?
I've tried to install it but all I miss is the config and player file, cause I haven't played yet on the PC I'm using, but it didn't ask me for TIE Fighter CD, and it's quite normal, cause it's just a XWA mod, no?
I'll try this tomorrow.

Thanks anyway

Edit: Oops, forget that post, you're right, it needs TIE-Fighter Collector CD, and I don't have it for PC, only for Mac...
So, I'd be glad if you could send me the movie files, maybe with yousendit, megaupload or another similar website.
Thanks

Idea: Sifo Dyas removal from AOTC?

Oh. Just cause of that, you don't understand the movie?!? It's really hard to believe, especially from the one who tells he has understood 2001...
I'm sorry, but I think that plot is just a contextual detail...
If you WANT to know more about this detail, you can read a book about it. But if you DON'T WANT to know more about it, you just watch rest of the movie, it really don't disturb the comprehension of the film... and it's far less complicated than 2001!

And so what? What are you expecting when you go watch a movie? To know everything on every details? Not me.
I like when a movie has a part of mystery. And when you look closer about all the Star Wars stuff, you'll see that we all know names of some characters or vehicles, and those names have never been mentioned in the movies. I like that. Not you?

...and I must say that I love the "Sifo Dyas" name. It sounds very cool to me...
