The best Lucasarts games were always ones that had nothing to do with Star Wars. Games where they put in a bit of effort. Some of the worst video games I've played have been star wars games including the Revenge of the Sith game which was horrible, and very misleading, Had I known that you were stuck to a linear path that you cannot deviate from I would never have bought it. Whose idea of fun was that?

Yes Kotor 1 was a great game and a lot of fun to play but it wasnt 'made' by Lucasarts. I think that's a great example on its own. A company put in place specifically to craft tie-in games to other 'lucas' products can hardly compete with outside companies. ie: Bioware, Traveller's tales [sp?]...Obsidian Entertainment to a lesser extent - Kotor 2 was released half done damnit!

Now 'Force Unleashed' might be a bit of fun and it looks interesting but as far a s STAR WARS games go, we've been burned before. At least that's the way I feel.

So yes, Until i see proof otherwise I'm climbing onto the "Not another LucasArts crappy star wars video game!"bandwagon.

BTW...Isn't this supposed to be the big release for 2007? 2007 - the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.

I just noticed the Games initials are FU.

haven't had a while lot of free time this week but I have been managing to break down the scenes and shots to assemble things the way I want.

One thing I've been thinking about is the point where chapter 21 skips ahead with the battle montage and then the introduction of the 'new look' obiwan and anakin. It just seems like a fairly large jump ahead in time.

Basically the options i'm considering are

1 Do nothing about it, Leave it as it is.
2 Do nothing but add a title card to the effect of 'X amount of time later...'
3 Try to extend the battle montage to help fill out the period of time.

What do people think? I'd lean towards option 3 - Retooling some of the 'battle of coruscant' footage.

Cheers guys, Here's what I'm after...

1st line - Nothing. I plan to add in a logo of sorts later. My main concern is the fancy angled text
2nd line - mystery - in place of century
3rd line - box - in place of fox

and no message at the bottom - I'll add something in later.

if possible it'd be great in a res of approx 800 x 450. Or something relatively colse to that if possible.

And as stated I'm only wanting 1 still frame from the end of the sequence.

Wow. I've taken a look at the youtube clips and am pretty impressed. I've followed the progress on and off but never really took a great interest until now. I'm preparing to grab a torrent so I'll give you some feedback once I've seen it. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun to watch on a lazy sunday afternoon.

And I really don't get people - esp star wars die hards who claim not to like 'jedi' or at least not as much as the others. Some of the moments in episode 6 are the best in the saga. The duel alone is the best by far.

surely by this point in time the Empire has a bit of a strangle hold on things right? I don't have any problems with the idea but surely he could approach some random imperial harbour. - rather than the long journey to coruscant. Remember that the falcon traveled thru hyperspace from Tatooine to Alderaan and it still took a while to get there.

I've been playing with formatting paragraphs in photoshop. Then using an nvidia filter to create a nomal map of the image [the text] to give it the 3d look. then colouring that to the right shade of yellow / orange and adding a slight gaussian blur to keep things looking smooth. In any case there is more to it than simply straight 2d text.

Actually, would any of you guys toying with this software be willing to do a single frame for me using the '20th century fox' segment? overall quality isn't a great concern I just want it done for a template to work off of and it's probably the quickest way. if anyone is then I'll let ya know what I want.

It's obvious that the creators are star wars fans and like to slip in references. It's odd IMO tho that they give these lines to Sawyer, Essentially making him the star wars fan, He just doesn't strike me as that kind of guy. I guess tho that star wars is so widespread that just about everyone gets the quotes. btw, the 'red shirt' reference was way before JJ became involved with star trek...A sign of things to come?

No. Just friendly banter... I'm not saying I wont [I love them both] - It's just not what we were saying is all.

I am however on the lookout for any music that would suit the feel of the project. Any [serious ] suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I labeled the thread as a parody of Pink Floyd's 'the final cut' - which has the tag line, "Requiem for a post war dream".
Strangely enough the tracklist has a somewhat starwars-y feel with titles like - 2 suns in the sunset

I've been pretty busy so hopefully I'll have time on the weekend to get really stuck into this. I'll keep you all posted as I go. Some interesting things have already been brought to my attention. It's always good to have fresh eyes on things.

I am however on the lookout for any music that woud suit the feel of the project.

Even if it Is sheathed in gold printed black sheepskin. If it ever comes down to a reasonable price I think I'll get it but that is just rediculous, No matter HOW good the book itself is. And as far as signing goes what's the go with Tony Daniels? Am i missing something here. Maybe if it came with a replica 3po head or something it'd all make sense...

Yeah agreed, I actually liked the tattoos for the quest he goes on. We can safely assume that he's cleaned up before working on th enew hand with r2 and no continuity hassles.

i'm currently going through and looking at trying to give a bit of continuity to the look of GG, mainly thru sticking with a set of colours. He look sdifferent every time you see him. I was listening to a commentary where they confessed that George kept telling them conflicting ideas about GG as they went along - No suprises there.
