thank for the help guys. Luckily i've managed to dig out a pre-thx VHS tape. Just had a quick scan through it and the colour is the same as the GOUT just less saturated & a very slight different tint to it. I'm just going to go with what looks natural. this was never meant to be a restoration project so if the colour is slightly different than the original then I'm not really bothered about that. As long as that horrible tint is gone and the colouring looks natural then i've achieved what i have set out to do.

I'd be more interested in things looking good than looking correct.

Indiana Jones IV

I tend to agree mostly with ChainsawAsh. I was worried for a while there but it was fun to watch and that's what I was really hoping for. It's not as good as raiders but ties closer to it than the other films.

I thought the ending with Spalko [sp?] didn't really go anywhere, it probably would have been better if she'd escaped somehow.

Idea: Star Wars Games Preservation

Thanks, I'll definitely want to check that out, I also want to show it to some mates who are interested but don't have the patience to play Kotor.

Do you know if anyone has tackled Jedi outcast? That is something I'd like to see, I really enjoyed playing the game, and If I recall it had some decent cut scenes in it.

Or are you planning to tackle it eventually?

I'd assume it'd have something to do with the 10 rings, and possibly alchohol.

It's hard to pick a favourite moment, I really enjoyed the whole film, But i really dug the "He's all yours" moment.

I think I recall Favrau saying something along the lines of the Mandarin storyline not being that great for a movie as well...

There is something you can do, Sevb32 if you are not entirely satisfied...You OWN fanedit. This is still an alternative to the original films, not a definitive version.

I don't mean to sound like a dick but some people seem to be getting a little too excited in my mind. We're in a forum, not a debate.

Agreed, the weakest part of the film was certainly the rivalry with Obi.

Re: the post credits stuff, They are probably testing the waters and gauging reactions on that, I didn't see the scene myself but I manged to get up to speed on youtube.

I recall Favrau mentioning these things tend to lose momentum after 2 movies and was planning on maybe doing 2 iron man films and then a 3rd with a larger scope - ie: Iron man and the Avengers, or whatever.

At least he doesnt want to make sequels just for the sake of sequels / cash. looked what happened to batman circa Joel Schumacher

Iirc, They were also planning to not have Obi be the villain until the second film. I guess we'll see how things play out now...Given Iron Man 2 already has a release date [April 30, 2010]

Here's something I want to ask you guys, and please put some thought into it before you answer it. If those elements of Vader's shuttle leaving Bespin and docking in the Star Destroyer were in there since the 1980 release of Empire, would so many of you be so gung-ho to remove them? I don't think so.

Maybe we should just alter Vader's line...

"Alert my DEATH STAR to prepare for my arrival."

Seriously I wouldn't mind seeing what you describe, but it's not really necessary.

Requiem for a Clone War dream... (2003 series) (* unfinished project * - lots of info)
Time
it's a slow mess right now. got a fair bit done ideas wise but still mostly patchy and incomplete.

Consider this: No news = good news.

It's also slow cuz I'm learning and trying things as I go. Ad I wont use any shot I'm not 100% happy with. That means there are scenes that have gone through various iterations as things progress.

Overall It's been a fun and educational process...and at SOME point down the track there will be a finished product to enjoy.

I'm also considering jumping ship to some other video software. I'm finding Premeiere a little stubborn but it's also the best that I've found interface wise. I might lookfor some trials of other software and do some tests...

These CW volumes only take up a fraction of a DVD each, I just can't understand why I'm finding such horrible artefacts in various places...

that would mean they went from a shell to fully operational in the time it took the rebels to rescue Han solo...And almost 20 years to build the first one. I tmight work better if it was closer to ROTJ in design or even the same, as tho they stopped contruction to focus on other things.

Overall though, I just don't think it fits, even as a post credit sequence. I'm sure you all would be apalled by such a scene had it been implemented by Lucasfilm.

I think the best place for a DSII construction shot would be in the background of the Imperial Fleet reveal before they leave for Hoth. It doesn't need to be intrusive at all, just there in the background - the fleet's gathered near Endor, getting information back from their probe droids while protecting the weak new Death Star until Vader gets the information about Hoth and they leave for the ice planet.

My two cents on that one, anyway.

keep in mind that the emperor was baiting them with reports of an incomplete detah star. In ROTJ it was fully armed and operational - even shielded. So there'd be no need for them to be protecting it.

It might be cool to see but i can't think of anywhere that it would fit nicely in ESB. And in the end it doesn't really need to be seen / mentioned at all. It'd just be a novelty.

Was Sam Jackson in there Post credits? I never stuck around to check..

I have to saw it's one of the best super hero themed films i've ever seen. This was much more my cup of tea than movies like spiderman that just got too silly for their own good.

I felt there was a great balance in there and not knowing a whole lot about the character's history I wasn't really left wanting for anything.

definitely filled a void while waiting for The Dark Knight.
