Titanfall. anyone playing it? I'm having a blast - and I usually tire of multi-player games quickly.

I think the game does a great job of combining a few key features in a very fluid way.

Free Running -

Get up high very quickly, wall run for great distances, jump onto the shoulders of Titans - hitch a ride on friendlies or shoot the brains out of enemies.

Titans -

stumbling around in a big mech suit is a LOT of fun and every player is equiped with powerful alternate weapons that can drop a titan quickly. This keeps you on your toes.

Epilogue -

Once the point scoring part of the game is over, the losing team have a chance to evacuate the battlefield while the winning team tries to stop them. It's a fun addition and there are big rewards to be had if you survive.

Moving forward I think it will be very interesting to see what other games take from Titanfall.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Time

I find Avengers to be greater than the sum of its parts - when you get those characters and ideas together there is room for some interesting storytelling but the only character I enjoy in their solo outings is Iron Man.

I can enjoy the spectacle of Thor movies but I can't take them seriously, Captain America is mildly entertaining and the less said about the Hulk the better.

I feel like Agents of SHIELD is wasted potential and I'd much rather see something focused on Agent Carter, Howard Stark and the formation of SHIELD.

I quite like the one-shots, crossovers and Easter eggs throughout.

I have zero interest in stuff that is loosely tied to the universe such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant Man etc.

I feel like they've done well so far to tie it all together even if some of it is weaker than I'd like. It hasn't been perfect, though. Iron Man 2 suffered from Too much Nick Fury / Avengers meddling.

There is something about Adele's voice that I just cannot stand - it's like fingernails on a blackboard to me.

The Depeche mode song is good but I'm just not feeling it, And I'm not sure how the movie would feel overall without a musical title sequence.

If you're open to ideas - I just stumbled upon this on Vimeo.

https://vimeo.com/53594411 - title sequence without actual text titles - could prove useful but it's not in HD. Hopefully available somewhere..

Anyone play Simpsons Tapped Out? My stupid IRL friends won't play so I need you fake people here to friend me so I can get more money and donuts.

:(

I played it a while back. I'll let you know if I get back into it.

Started playing Deus Ex: The Fall. seems a bit basic compared to Human Revolution.

Anybody playing Titanfall? crazy good fun.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

MORE SPOILERS

All that AND LIAM F*CKING NEESON saying "Yoda, Go to Dagobah!"

It went a long way to undoing a lot of the nonsense of the prequels. It really did feel like they were trying to tie up as much as possible in that short arc - I wonder how much of it was revised after the cancellation..

It had a very ESB sort of feel but it's probably too late now to consider as a resource for ESB Revisited. Although there might be some useful stuff for future edits.

^ anything you can share is definitely appreciated.

So here's something potentially interesting. Listening to and reading about the soundtrack I discovered that Harrison's [;)] music isn't on the soundtrack - and it's a pretty damn good piece of music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m3kV47Jgwg

I then discovered that the music in the bar when Kirk calls up Scotty is different based on release territory. I just checked my Itunes files and the two versions [theatrical / commentary] indeed have different backing songs during that scene. - they sound similar with different lyrics [different performers] - I think the tune was written by Abrams.

I wonder what the odds are of compiling all versions of that scene?

brief making of the Australian version -

Last web series/tv show seen
Time

I didn't set out to watch a lot of Cop shows...it just sort of happened.

True Detective - best thing I've seen in a long time. Sick of people recommending trash while I search for something good to watch. Now I'm all set. The story jumps between now and 1995 where we follow two state police officers on a Homicide case.

Brooklyn Nine Nine - Sitcom set at the 99th precinct, follows a bunch of detectives. A few familiar faces - Terry Crews, Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher

Almost Human - Cop show set at some point in the Future, Karl Urban is the Human [he does the typical human stuff] who gets partnered with an Android. It's hard to decide if I like the show or if I just like watching KU acting like an asshole.

http://www.indiegala.com/ Interstellar marines is on sale. Get a copy for $1. Get 3 copies for $5, one of which is the deluxe version.

I already have it, but I bought the 3 new copies anyways. Hit me up if you want a copy. I think this could turn into something awesome.

For a dollar?

picked up Deus Ex 1 and 2 [yes, DX fans - DX2 exists] for cheapsies. I forgot how chunky these games look. DX2 definitely feels like a console port and yet...no controller support - strangely the menus can be navigated with a controller. Looking at some 3rd party options, playing it with a keyboard just isn't that much fun.

Got into the TITANFALL Beta. So far it's a good bit of fun but already I can see that it suffers from the same issues as other shooters - mostly jerks.

The wallrunning / parkour style when you're on foot keeps things fast paced and you get special weapons for dealing with the mechs [Titans].

One thing that bothers me about these games is that you have to grind to unlock the good stuff - but at least it seems to happen fairly quickly in TF.

There isn't much variety in the Beta. Hopefully there's a lot more content in the full product.

EDIT: looks like they are opening up the beta to all xbox one owners [xboners?] - go get some.

That would be amazing.

I'm not entirely sure if 'we' have them yet but I wouldn't consider the project complete without them.

can we get some confirmation, guys?

Edit: stumbled onto some amazing poster artwork that could probably be adapted into cover art -
