If you are going to make the same outlandish claims over and over can you at least back them up? People may agree with you if they actually understand what you referring to.

In ESB we met a showy city administrator (Lando) , but he didn't feel the need to dress up in silly robes or way overdone getup

He was wearing a bloody cape for cripes sakes!!!

I almost fell off my chair lolling.

Abrams is Destroying Star Trek like Lucas has Destroyed Star Wars

When he optimists and the pessimists begin to look at this through the same tint of glasses, something is definitely wrong.

Is it just me or are they going out of there way to sabotage loved and beloved characters? it seems as though they are literally "salting the earth" here. If they intend this to be the start of a new franchise they are doing a poor job of it.

You remember it too? Tell me you remember it too Johnny!

Perhaps we are dealing with some kind of temporal anomaly? An alternative reality where FF bought the comic book weeks ago? I am half expected to find myself in France as an eighty year old man pruning my grape vineyard.

Chateau C3PX?

So it's just the same few points being reiterated then. Boring old reality. I guess if they hadn't pushed the releae date back we'd be over all this by now. the release still feels like forever away. Not that i'm hotly anticipating it. I expect the film to not deliver, but i still intend to see it and decide later.

All in all it seems hard to take a lot of these people seriously. I mean how can we trust that certain individuals don't have ulterior motives here? Isn't there bad blood between George and people like Kurtz?

I'm sure this wont get play at my local theatre [They wouldn't even screen Pan's Labyrinth cuz it's in spanish :(] But I'm sure I'll sit down and take a look at it at some point. I honestly hope it turns out well [and well informed].

Okay, I could have sworn those last two posts from FF and sky were posted a long time ago. I know I have read those comments before, but yet they were just posted today. I am experiencing some weird form of forum deja vu. Or... perhaps I have become unstuck in time? Poo-tee-weet?

Hmm, If you're going insane then so am I.

Idea: Watchmen - an edit...
Time

Well I saw it on the weekend. I went in to see [Zack Snyder's] Watchmen and I enjoyed it. It's not a perfect film, on one hand it's overly long but on the other hand they could have explained some things a little better for the noobs...

I understand that the comics show the origin of Rorschachs mask, and while not entirely necessary to the story being told i would have liked to have seen that. I guess I'll wait and see what the extended cut includes.

The Nixon stuff was unbelievably bad and the end titles music really bugged me, not because it seems out of place, just because it sounds completely rubbish. I'm sure there are other things but overall they'd be minor [purely my opinion]. The overuse of slo-mo / blue dong / cheesy music didn't bother me all that much.

I really don't understand the mentality of some people but there were young kids in the audience. Needless to say they were ushered out after Rorschack started getting some decent screen time.

Adywan says the Real Names will be replacing the Screennames for those who opt to do so.  I figured instead of offending those who might feel that tying their real name to their screenname was a violation of privacy, I'd just post the screennames to make sure everyone who wants to be credited is there, and leave the rest to Ady.

Besides, I have the list in three different places so I won't lose it.  I really don't want to have to keep three seprate files updated. ;-)

Can we opt for our screen name to appear in quotation marks between our real first and last name?  If not, I'll follow Ripplin's lead and just stick with just my screen name.

Probably.  That's what I did on the first one.

That sounds good.

Info Wanted: What Ever Happened To PAY IT FORWARD?
Time

Granted a lot of people I send Star Wars: Revisited [DVD9] to don't PIF further, but I don't mind. I'm just happy to have it, and Here in a PAL region [OZ] we'd be stuck with NOTHING If Adywan hadn't seen fit to PIF to us. It seems that no one is interested in sharing the PAL version online, and those like myself who are simply don't have the means [I guess I can't speak for everyone, i just don't know for certain].

PIF can work but it's always going to be a gamble. People need to be reminded that it's about giving and not so much about getting.

I came up with an idea.

It will be cool if from the AT AT who explode to have some molten metal from its inside. Imagine like lava falling.

I will make a quick mockup.

Something like this... The particles in AE may have some better results:

-Angel

um...it looks like the thing just shit itself.

Well i've been working on the rebel transport escape scene today and i have to say that i'm definitely going with the blue electrical laser bolts instead of the multi coloured original one. It add so much to this scene and give the Ion canon its own distinctive look as well as looking 100% better and more realistic colour wise. Making the blast points brighter and the new colouring takes away the fakeness of the original animation. I just love it.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

a still shot isn't really the best way of seeing just how well this new effect works. it looks so much better in motion

i'm also going to have the stardestroyer firing at the escaping ships and destroying one of the x-wings before it gets blasted by the ion canon bolts

Nice! - good work guys.

the brought about the annihilation of the human race while trying to prevent it. It's still not exactly clear [at least to me] what happened on Kobol...But we might get more answers yet. I think last weeks episode and this weeks are meant to be a two parter of sorts.
