http://galacticasitrep.blogspot.com/ - these guys generally do a round up of the available [youtube et al] preview clips.
Does anybody not love Romo Lampkin?
What a guy.
Looks like we're heading back to the final five story arc now. The last few were quite good but they kind of make Zarek into a two diminsional bad guy a bit. less interesting to the way he used to be portrayed.

Don't you hate people that drive with their high beams on.
I could pull stills like this from the clip all day.
Laserschwert, I thought your main aim was in adjusting the contrast and brightness of the shots to eliminate glows around everything? Is that still a priority? - I figured you'd tackle that first. These shots also look very green to my eyes.
Since the dodgy green tint on the film is fairly uniform maybe it would be simpler to do all the cuts and trims first and then tackle all the visual [color et al] tweaks at the end in one hit.
[yeah, i know these are images posted by a third party.]
I dunno, wouldn't that mean Cavil and co. knew all along that she was one of them? - seems a bit odd. IIRC the actress [Kate Vernon] mentions she was in a few episodes this season...
"Now I’m in seven of the last nine, and they are just absolutely brilliant. I can’t tell you how good they are..."
That would imply she is in every episode from this point on.
okay then.
any chance of some screen caps? [for the new jungle chase] - 200+ mb seems a bit excessive for a preview - at least on my connection speed.
Shots look good but too dark IMO. - My concern being that it may be hard on the eyes watching the film graded in that way for 2+ hours.
Oh and here's something i noticed a while a go, wondering if anyone else has - one of the large light logos you can see in the scenes where obiwan lands is that of Skywalker Sound. you can see it in one of the shots vaderios posted - although it is mirrored.
I'd be interested to see what you manage to come up with Octorox.
It's kind of hard to tell at that quality, maybe a few decent res screencaps would be helpful.
Posted images look good. Clean and crisp.
I'm probably not so much interested in the end product but definitely interested in the development.
I try to have faith but i'm worried they'll do something like that, thinking that they don't need to plan ahead for coming seasons.
Yeah the clouds 'should' be fine, not saying it's perfect but i'm trying to keep an eye on contrast. In comparison i don't think it's as saturated as LC.
I was just trying to get a nice clean sky - the green tint makes it appear a bit overcast but it's actually pretty sunny. That said the sky looks different in every shot of the intro - clouds to blue shy to grey sky to very cloudy....
Finally some footage to go with the Kirk / Pike exchange...
But we still aren't really seeing anything much new, Maybe they are trying to maintain suprises, or maybe they are worried we wont front up with the cash...
Well colour correction is the easy part - if you know what you are doing...I don't really know what i'm doing but I'm certainly having fun tinkering...
I see it as a creative outlet, as long as egos are kept in check.
IMO a lot of the shots look good, but just too dark. maybe try ease off a bit on the darkness contrast and see what you come up with? My concern is that it might be a bit hard on the eyes after 2+ hours.
I really want to see more about Earth and the final five, everything else is secondary. Although it seems that stuff will take a back seat to the Geata / Zarack plotline...
I guess we'll wait and see.
The demise of Spalko is the only part I really hate in the film. Has anyone had any thoughts about it? I'm not really working on a proper edit. just tinkering.
It just seemed like a really deus ex machina way of disposing of the villain, plus they never really made you hate her like the Nazis or Mola Ram, she was just....an annoyance to the heroes.
Did a quick muck about trying to remove the green tint while preserving flesh tones. Still a little room for improvement...
And here's something i just noticed that i thought was funny...
For this to work it needs to be accessible and not esoteric. You can't just assume that everyone has read the comics and novels that you have. Remember what happens when you assume.
That said, some of the ideas so far have been pretty good.
any chance of a decent preview at all?
i think i'd prefer a 2d approach.
^ that would cause a rift in space/time before anything happened to your mouswheel...
ben_danger said:OMG! idea: we agree on a rewritten plot, then eventual script, then perhaps we break it down into pieces that people recreate themselves then forward as an anthology. like the animatrix or gotham knight.
it would be bad and good at the same time!:S
that's a great idea in and of itself
So your stance is "I'm fine with the ridiculous cost because i intend to pirate them anyway" ?
[for the record I don't intend to purchase these, just making an observation.]
