Thanks Sluggo xhonzi doubleofive!
Thought I'd put a ringlish spin on things.
Now, is there not one among you with the balls of brass to take on the avatar of Anchorhead?
Xhonzi says:
I guess I'm just that goddamn bitchin'.
there be too many bkev in this here thread.
Korben Dallas.

more Tums
Sounds like there's a prequel to this story...what caused the need for Tums?

Off to Spring Training for three days. Catch up with you next week.
Badass Training?

Same. an ep i'd never seen about Picard's old ship the Stargazer.
anyone else find the 80's synth music annoying?
Cadbury Creme eggs. On the down side they only sell them at Easter - on the up side, Cadbury Easter lasts for about 4 months...
black and white version of The Mist. Good fun but damn depressing.
I've heard that the book has a different ending but I've never read it.
watched that recently - I love the engineer, nothing shocks or awes him.
Watched a grindhouse-esque fanedit somebody did of Mortal Kombat. Coulda gone further with it but it WAS better than the original film so I can't complain.
there are shows I used to be on the lookout for and buy dvd's of but since we've gotten a bunch of extra free to air channels here in Oz it seems that a lot of the stuff I like is on quite often - several times a day in some cases.
I've just been playing catch up on a whole bunch of shows, mostly Farscape.
and the last thing I saw was actually Scrubs.
pics or it didn't happen [in before it happens]
he needs to go off and make interesting things again instead of wasting his time with inferior remakes of classic films!
Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner.
Yes. I know - I too referenced works that veered way off course.
That company ("the Asylum") is not so bad it's good. It's just bad.
and yet you keep on coming back for more
Yeah, The Asylum did a great job of staying close to Sir Conan Doyle's original vision. ;-)
eh, if it's fun, i can dig it. Pride and Prejudice comes with zombies now and Abraham Lincoln was apparently a vampire hunter...
say Blasphemy 3 times and just see what happens.
re: predators - i distinctly recall at least a few of the characters introducing themselves - the big guy was Nikolai - the nutter was Noland et al.
re: the day the earth stopped - isn't that by the company that makes heaps of low budget knock-offs like transmorphers and unoffical sequels like titanic 2 and war of the worlds 2?
if it's 'so bad it's good' i might have to chech it out.
I was planning to watch Blade Runner - The Final Cut, but instead ended up watching Efter brylluppet [After the Wedding]. It was quite good - Mads Mikkelsen by the numbers...
Good acting and a good story.

Now I'm suspicious of all new members. I wonder if JT has created a new sock yet?
Who says it has to be a NEW member? What if he has sleeper-socks, just waiting to be activated.
Or would a sock even KNOW they are a sock? Or would it be like the Final Five Cylons? Or maybe Deckard wasn't a replicant... maybe he was a sock.
I'm thinking a Manchurian Candidate scenario.
Vaderios:
in one word? - Genius
in many - A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they traveled through his brain. What did they look like? Ships, motorcycles. With the circuits like freeways. I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day... I got in.
- Johnny
I'll never be able to do a definitive list but after a quick glance at my Dvd shelves -
Predator / Star Trek VI / Goonies / El Laberinto del Fauno / the Count of Monte Christo / Grondhog Day / Abyss / The wizard of Oz
and pretty much everything ChainsawAsh listed. Especially the Fall - loved that.
oh, except the Usual Suspects - seriously, am I the only person who doesn't like that movie?
