What are you reading?
Time

Right now I'm reading a graphic novel called: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I like it so far.

I've got a few books on the go that i've sort of trailed off on - The fifth Elephant [Discworld] and Eyes of the dragon by stephen King.

The last thing I finished was probably Under the Dome by Stephen King which was great - it had about eleventy main characters and didn't become a complete mess.

No idea what it was called but i did read an Indiana Jones novel years ago - I thought it sucked but I still read it cover to cover - he went looking for Noah's ark.

I guess he got, got told.

it was based on GI Joe - just how good could it have possibly been? - you know, that line of action figures that was just the same guy painted different colours...;)

TK, how would you rate Hobo with a shotgun? - i've sorta been looking forward to it. Is it fun?

re: Deliverance - there were actually some quite good moments if I recall, although it sorta gets overshadowed by being 'that ass-rape movie'. shame.

I found Paul to be a bit flat. It did have some good bits but it wasn't funny enough to be a comedy and it wasn't interesting enough to be an alien movie.

maybe that's just me.

Saw Tangled in 3d - didn't cost me anything. IT was pretty entertaining, funny and the visuals were quite good, good use of 3d unlike a lot of the FLAT live action '3d' flicks these days.

I'm not really familiar with the story of Rapunzel so I dunno how faithful it is to the source but it was entertaining.

Also watched Generations [star trek] at home on the wall projector - I just felt like watching it - it WAS as cheesy / wonky as I remembered, which is a shame because there were some good bits.

what a cliff hanger, eh? Love misfits.

Been getting into a few new things -

Boardwalk Empire - a lot better than I thought it would be.

Breakout Kings - Fun so far, only 1 episode deep.

and more Star Trek: TNG reruns on tv. Some episode about a prearranged marriage for deanna - it was wank. The music was surprisingly good though, none of that shonky synthesised stuff...

Heavy Metal
Time

Metal is different things to different people.

My favourite Metal band is TOOL but I'd never consider them as 'Heavy metal' and they are even sometimes filed under 'rock'.

I don't think I could label Metallica as heavy metal - hair metal maybe ;) - I just can't take them seriously, especially after some kind of monster / St. Anger. - don't get me started on megadeth ;)

There are bands that I don't really get into but still have respect for - like Alice in chains or Judas Priest.

Motorhead do have more than one song right? If I head ace of spades in a tv show or movie one more time i think my head might just explode!

DOOM: knee deep in the edit. (* unfinished project *)
Time

Cheers.

I'll look into that stuff for sure. I'm actually working on the project right now. It's slow going but i'm learning and getting results...

I'm also considering a bunch of new ideas - like mock kung fu sound effects during the final boss battle. Just a stack of ideas that may or may not lead anywhere...

Good to hear from you btw, it's been quite a while.

Feel free to share ideas!
