Catching up on the last few episodes of The Walking Dead. Kind of slow this season. Still really enjoying it though.

Once I finish them, I'll go back to Breaking Bad for another season or two.

...this is even more tragic than 005 choosing Mad Men [a decent show] over Breaking Bad [the best show ever?].

I think you really need to rethink your priorities.  I like TWD but it's complete trash when compared to BB.

:)

started checking out '2 broke girls' - There's a plot but it basically boils down to two girls wearing skimpy waitress outfits and other revealing clothing.

Catching up on Danger 5. Loving it - FINALLY an AUSTRALIAN production to be proud of :)

thinking about checking out 'the fades'...

Not sure if anyone else is aware but each terminal in Halo Anniversary ends with a code made up from 5 symbols.

if you fire up Halo waypoint and press X you'll be taken to a screen with some coloured circles. they correspond with X,B,A,Y. press what you see onscreen left to right and you'll be taken to another screen. Here you can enter the codes from the terminals to get some bonuses.

There is also an 11th Terminal that is unlocked after you input all 10 codes - I've not done that yet. You must have found the terminals in-game to input their codes apparently.

You'll splitscreen with xhonzi or you'll get the hose again.

Anyone played Fruit Ninja Kinect? - best. game. ever.

Anyone played Forza 4? - I'm really curious about the kinect mode for that.

Finished Halo Anniversary - the new terminals were quite good. especially the 'keyes' level one. The blend of 3d animation and motion comic art works better than I'd expected.

Haven't really had a chance to try the new maps yet. They look interesting.

Back to Skyrim I guess. Am I the only one not playing it 20+ hours a day? It seems everyone is ranked way up and I'm still pretty lowly still.

The people vs George Lucas - I found it to be quite disappointing. Despite good reviews I found it to be quite boring in places, maybe I just don't connect with a lot of these people.

A lot of stuff isn't really explained as well as it could be either. It just feels like a bit of a jumbled mess sometimes - like flicking channels or something.

For a Documentary about GL, they spend very little time with people who personally know the man or worked with him - people with genuine insight.

in the end there are some good points brought up but some of them are dismissed far too quickly and others linger for far too long.

there were two points that i thought were interesting and both of them show the worst of Star Wars fandom. Not really the angle you want when you're trying to portray the other side as the 'bad guy'.

1 ) Adywan mentions fan reactions to Revisited and receiving death threats [for attempting to undo the horrible changes that the fans hate] and then it just cheerfully cuts away to something else.

That example of fan attitude could fill out a documentary of its own.

2 ) The hype leading up to TPM and fan excitement. Some fans when asked even refused to except the possibility that it might suck. The closed mindedness of some of them is almost depressing.

re: Skyrim - i'm trying to get into the thieves guild but i keep getting distracted by all this 'save the world' nonsense. Looks like the story is really starting to take shape and having fun.

My guy is a lizard man [Argonian?] named Yegore. He's quite adept at archery and douchebaggery.

Also checking out Halo: Anniversary. getting used to the overpowered weapons again, but that's kinda what makes it fun. Found the first few terminals - pretty interesting stuff and a handful of skulls so far. There's a skull I know of but haven't got to yet cuz it requires grenade jumping and I suck at that.

Good fun re-living the classic campaign with a fancy facelift. The beefed up sound effects make weapons like the assault rifle really feel like they have a kick to them.

is there anything greater than Christopher Plummer teaching you to talk like a Dragon? ;) Maybe hanging with Max Von Sydow [who narrated the ttrailers] but I've not encountered him yet. - I assume he'll be somebody important.

I was loving Rage until the sudden ending...I'm playing through again on Nightmare - which really isn't as hard as I expected. I guess the wing sticks make things too easy.

From what I've read the new xbox dash update should be out circa tomorrow - the 15th - xbox 10th anniversary...I hear there's a feature called beacons that should make it easier to coordinate with friends and play online.

I was kinda hoping that Halo would come out today since Skyrim also released here a day early [last thursday.] but haven't heard anything yet. I'll probably grab it tomorrow after work. More than anything I just want to jump in and experience the remastering, I probably wont play right through it right away.

Anyone playing Skyrim?

I've only played it in small doses so far and I spent a great deal of time running across the map in the wrong direction cuz I wasn't really paying attention but it's a lot of fun so far.

It's certainly a wide open world - no Sean Bean to hold my hand this time.

from what I've seen they've improved a lot of areas and the dual wielding is fun and kinda useful.

I've only killed one dragon so far without help from others and I assume there will be a lot more - comparable to the gates in Oblivion...

I heard there's something like 150+ dungeons too. I've only been in about 3 so far.

I'm also liking that they ditched the somewhat cartoony style of Oblivion - characters look kinda realistic now where as they sort of looked malformed and troll like last time around.
