Are we supposed to be using this thread for debate?

No. When you drop a marble in a bathtub it’ll slowly roll towards the drain and then circle the grate a few times before it comes to a full stop on its lowest part. That’s what happens with this thread and political links. This thread is this forum’s drainage grate. No matter where you drop your marbles in this forum, they always end up here.

Wonderful analogy. Well said even if you think it includes me.

😉

IT INCLUDES EVERYONE ALL OF YOU I WATCH ALL YOUR MARBLES MY GOD THE MARBLES THANKS.

All Mighty Marble Watcher, I defer to your ever spiralling wisdom.

Well Trump is showing himself to be trigger happy and extremely dangerous to our servicemen and women. Scary!

"Over dinner, told that Obama wouldn’t launch the attack in Yemen (because they didn’t have enough intel), Trump decided to go for it.

An unmitigated disaster. 30 women and children were slaughtered by our troops, the primary target of the raid was not captured, a Navy SEAL was shot and killed, 3 other SEALs were injured, and we left behind a $70 million helicopter.

NOW, today, Yemen has announced it will no longer allow the US to have any military actions in the country - making us all less safe. "

He’s making decisions based on his insecurity about his dick size. And getting people killed because of it. Fantastic.

To think that someone might actually believe this enough to say it openly makes me giggle.

I’ll admit I was wrong, it was his daughter that had the clothes line, but it was his wife who won a lawsuit because she can’t bank on her brand as well as she’d like.

Libel is a legal matter that could cost any business millions of dollars, not just Mrs. Trump. Get a clue.

Libel is bad, yes, but she’s not a business. She’s a potential business because of her position as the First Lady. And isn’t badmouthing a corporation a form of libel? Sure, Nordstrom’s stock went up, but they can probably sue for the tweet.

Libel is libel, no matter what, learn your law. It also reads like he was taking a pot shot at himself, not Nordstrom, so I doubt it.

She’s the First Lady saying that she can’t exploit her new position for profit because of an article most of us have forgotten about. She rightly won the case, I agree, but it has to make you a little uneasy that she has no interest in this other than profit.

I don’t think she’s looking to exploit her position in the family. She has her own identity outside of her dads. I get uneasy when First Family members become part of the over-all attack on the President. I felt the same way about the Obama family and every other first family I have been alive to witness, including the Clinton’s.

Example, I nailed Frink on the CNN picture he posted “allegedly”" showing Trump’s daughter and her Fiance at a White House meeting. He never spoke of it afterwards, I didn’t say anything further, but he didn’t acknowledge he was wrong.

I am doing my very best to ignore you as much as I possibly can in every single situation (not just in this thread). However, this was one of the few times I actually responded to you because I was not wrong, despite your accusations. They (she and her husband, not fiance) were at the meeting, it wasn’t a dinner, and the follow-up link you posted was from a dinner the previous evening and was unrelated to the point being made. And you posted a link yourself that showed where they both sat during the meeting.

If you want to believe you are right and the proof is that people are ignoring you, that’s your business. I look forward to ignoring whatever response you cook up to make yourself feel better.

I really don’t care how upstanding you think it makes you by ignoring me. You’re a regurgitater of anything you find that supports your personal views, when it comes to this stuff anyways, nothing more.

If you weren’t so fuckin hostile towards anything I say than maybe we could actually have some real discourse but because you refuse to it will never change.

JEDIT:

I went back to the discussion Frink and you are right, they were there, but not in any illegal capacity that I could find. I apologize.

Jetrell, you decry the lack of proper debate here. Some time ago I tried having a discussion with you, and since then I’ve decided not to try again. Debate was impossible, as the most basic laws of logic (modus ponens, etc.) seemed absent. By contrast most others here, even those with whom I disagree much more strongly, such as Ferris, do share a basis in verbal reasoning. If people don’t always respond to you, it may be out of frustration. My apologies for being so blunt.

Your words seem to imply that it hurts my feelings if people do not respond and that is simply untrue. All I see in this thread is the bashing of the President, no debate at all.

The simulation performed exactly as predicted.

What does this mean?

I don’t believe it matters. This thread isn’t about debate anymore, it’s a fear-mongering smorgasbord for Trump haters.

I’ve noticed that when I watch the press conferences live, listen to all the questions being asked by different “news agencies” and the answers given, those same “news agencies” end up writing only what they want to write. This thread has become nothing more than the culmination of half-truths and alternate facts from an opposing perspective touted by the same people that accuse the President and his staff of doing the same thing.

I find it disappointing and insulting that there are people in the world that equate this tactic with debate. Example, I nailed Frink on the CNN picture he posted “allegedly”" showing Trump’s daughter and her Fiance at a White House meeting. He never spoke of it afterwards, I didn’t say anything further, but he didn’t acknowledge he was wrong. When someone else posts something contrary to the masses beliefs they get half a dozen members pouncing on them and a few that don’t ever let them forget it. Frink and a few others still make half-ass snide comments about certain things that go back weeks in the guise of “humor”.

For anyone looking to actually debate, and we do have a few, there should be a new thread for it. One that allows for actual debate and not this travesty. This is just my opinion on the matter, and I realize it doesn’t matter, but it’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it regardless.

The list of unreported terrorist attacks was actually released, and it contains.

Wait for it…

All of the terrorists attacks that the news has been covering…

What the hell? I am confused.

Maybe they put up the wrong list?

I only have 2 words for this thread, aside from liking the kind and honest discourse …

Wonder Woman … that is all.

😃

Wonder Woman rejects mortal humans, claiming that they have ruined the Earth forever, but still comes back to the mortal world because Lex… stole a digital copy of a picture of her? It was something like that I think. But she was pretty cool in the fight scene. My fingers are crossed so hard for her upcoming movie not to suck that they’re broken.

People always stress that Wonder Woman was easily the best part of the movie but I wasn’t impressed at all. Ben Affleck as Batman, hands down was the best part of the movie for me. Besides the killing. But his Bruce Wayne was spot on. And the warehouse scene was just incredible.

I like Wonder Woman’s appearance for a few reasons …

Wonder Woman finally made it to the big screen.

She’s mysterious but strong.

When she’s fighting Doomsday and gets knocked on her buttocks by him, she smiles as she gets back up, showing how tenacious she is in battle.

She also shows a quiet sign of emotion as Lois is cradling Superman’s dead body.

Now, Ms. Gadot herself, is naturally beautiful, but she doesn’t use it to make the character believable.

I highly enjoyed Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Like you, I LOVE the wharehouse fight, it’s badass Batman in action.
