Star Trek Generations DVD recalls
Time
The only difference is the behind the scenes stuff and deleted scenes and the quality of the movie is really awesome......other than that, if you are a Star Trek fan as well like I am, it is worth having in the collection. I actuall have a Generations trailer with a deleted scene in it that doesn't make it into the DVD stuff, it is on the Star Trek Memories VHS w/ William Shatner. It is a scene between Kirk and Harryman on the Enterprise B while trying to escape the edge of the Nexus......Kirk looks at him and says something about "Let's cheat death together".......nice little scene to see any way you can see it.

I also have the one with the error and I ain't sending it back......no-way, no how........lmao

.........learn to be content with what we do have.

You are correct and there are other threads in here for those of us who do still enjoy the SE and other aspects of the trilogy........I like what I like and no-one here has given me the business yet about it. I enjoy the trade (and not begging) possibilities here so as to help others who are working hard to make these things happen. My donation goes to the collective effort of preservation here , not my singular effort of personal need.

Can't we all just GET ALONG?????

Lmao!!!!

Actually, when I came to this board there was plenty of OT love to go around and and there was always the "devil's advocate" posts which help keep us all grounded to why we are here, OUR love of Star Wars and its ORIGINAL beginings......that being said, I still believe it is about that. Discussion, debate, sharing, helping........this board IS just that. If we get any visitors from other places that come to sabotage that, please, be gone. If you have come for a different point of view and you have things to contribute that folks on other boards don't like, please, be welcome. But REMEMBER THIS, my stay so far here has been enlightening, most enjoyable, and down-right pleasure-able and anyone coming in here wanting to mess with that won't last for long........and you'll end up head over heel out the door with a mouth full of bantha poodu and a large strong nasty "lord of the sith" boot in your sorry arse!!!!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.......thank you to everyone who welcomed me to this forum when I arrived, without you, I wouldn't still be the nice Star Wars nerd I was born to stay....

The OT RULES!!!!

"Force Chokes" all those who recently came in, bashin folks.......til they pass out and I use Permanent Marker to make them look like the Greedo that "didn't" shoot first, and leave them on their own boards doorstep, ringing the door bell and running like hell (gigglin like a little schoogirl watchin behind the bushes as MOMMA GL answers the door) ......... love ya guys!!!!

I am of course, just kidding, I am always glad for new faces and new ideas........

LD Players, What is the machine of choice??
Time
I see that this thread has digressed a bit. I was hoping that someone may own a machine like mine or know enough about these machines that they could possibly help me know wether I got a good buy. I do own the SE on LD and am hoping to get a Faces set as well. I also have a whole set of Star Trek movies that I want to enjoy on LD as well. I am new to owning this machine and would like some assistance assessing it's value and quality as an addition to my home viewing experience.

Okay, can anyone tell me about the Pioneer CLD - D502 LD Player. I just won one for $31.25 + $15.00 shipping. It is a nice clean machine and seemed decent for a starter, especially considering the price. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles for audio connections but it does auto-switch sides. It doesn't seem to be top of the line but it is a start.

Info Wanted: How many bootleg DVD sets are there that are worth talking about?
Time
TR-47 Edition
Dr. Gonzo Edition(Anamporphic Set)
1997 DVD9 Widescreen SE Set (Dual Layered)

These sets I own have been purchased here with the exception of the SE DVD9 Set. I have to say that the opening "THX Flyby with the X-Wings, Tie-Fighters, and Falcon" in the Anamorphic Set is really nice to see. The addition of the commentary during the movies was nice as well. The TR47 Set(I also have the companion set of 3 Discs w/ original Behind The Scenes Documentaries) and the SE Set are my favorites of the 3 when it comes to quality outright. I am still getting a review together for the SE Set on the Review thread. I believe these to be the ones worth talkin about and with the Farsight Set coming to a Torrent Thread soon near you(hopefully) and the MagFan Edits, what else is there????

Wish there was though.

For the Supplemental DVD torrent go to www.torrentbox.com I think they still have it.

www.torrentbox.com is down, maybe for good.......this sucks as they had some really great stuff. Maybe our ole fanboy "GL" used his ass-e-nine mind tricks and got them to go the "ultimate edition that really makes no sense and wastes others creative visions" side........

LD Players, What is the machine of choice??

Hey all,

Here is a good question from a first time LD owner. ...... What machine seems to be the one with the best options for the best price?? I am eagerly awaiting my SW: SE set and wanted to know which machine I should consider buying to play them?? I am also looking at acquiring the Faces set as well and I want to make the right choice for these...........

Anyone got any suggestions???? I know you do........

MeBeJedi-

Your devotion to this project is amazing and greatly welcomed. All your hard work will surely be appreciated amongst those that participate in this forum. As for your credit, once it is created, it will be the "MEBEJEDI" edition already as we are sure to talk, brag, defend, and mob you for our own sets once they are available.......... lmao. But all humor aside, the other sets didn't come with "branding" and yet all are well known to those who care like ourselves. Adding the "easter eggs" with production materials, thanks to, and your own personal tag is a fantastic idea. It will make your edition singular in a world of many others......

I believe in the effort as much as the product of that labor, god speed MeBeJedi...............knocks us off our socks!!!!!!!

I am "in" when the time comes for you to release this, just as I am honoured to be surrounded by the menagerie of devout fans in this forum..........have at it and make us and yourself proud........

Customized Tins/ Paul Champagne
Time
I don't know that there is a "get it done now" time frame as we all have lives outside of here .......yeah, right.....

I would think that a week or two would be sufficient for at least the basic stuff. Paul seems very willing to help out and make this right, and just the way we want it.......

Good things take time and I don't want anyone feeling pressured with this. It is a great idea and I would hate to see it spoiled by demands and "absolute" deadlines.......everyones time is valuable and appreciated.
