You can e-mail me or p.m. me for possible trade. I hope this offer helps. I also have the SE on VCD w/ TPM on VCD as well. Not that TPM on VCD is a real gem of a find or anything....lmao!!!

Criterion Collection of Blade Runner (Released)
Time
Hey all,

It has been awhile since I posted due to the birth of my daughter.....she is getting ready to turn a year old this month, actually in about a week....day before my b-day.

Anyways, I seem to remember some time ago that a transfer of this was being discussed and I was willing to lend my Criterion Collection Laserdisc for it. If anyone is planning on doing one themselves the offer is still open. As always, thanks for keeping Star Wars and Movie Archives alive and strong.........all the hard work IS appreciated.

Peace 2 U ALL!!!!

Anyone play ROTS for X-Box yet??
Time
I just bought it on eBay and I was reading the back of the game sleeve and it says.....ready for this..........

Exclusive Movie Content: The "only" video game to feature footage from Revenge Of The Sith. Gripping movie sound effects, blah, blah, blah.........

Now, do the promoters of these games really think that we are so daft that we could think other games have ROTS footage in them or that it is exclusive to the movie of the same name......wtf??? Can you say, LLLLLLLOSERS!!!!

I sure hope it plays better than it is advertised..........

What is the Correct Spelling of...
Time
You are looking at what is the correct spelling of Artoo. Unless you want to petition GL to change it legally via the court system (lol) that is how it is spelt.

I can't imagine R2 really appreciating a legal name change anyways........he'd have to inform all those twylekk dancing girls in his black book along side all the rogue droid flings he knows and that might not get him any more booty calls.......lol

Peace!!!

FOX issuing takedown notices to Sith downloaders
Time
I've seen a glimpse of this download and the quality itself does Star Wars and injustice so I am not sure why GL would even bother since he seems determined to rid himself of Star Wars now that this installment has made him fat change and it brings the PT to a close. It is watchable but the compression alone shows in the video. It's one for your diehard fans who will see it a dozen times and purchase the DVD when it arrives so If I was GL I would be happy knowing that even @ it's quality level people are still interested in it.........I guess one never knows when to just take things as they come and be thankful for "what once was their dream" has not only helped them and their life but helped satisfy others who share in the dream.

Did that make sense??? I think it did.......lol!!!

Peace all!!!!

Now THIS is a price-gouge.........
Time
and he names his source as "COWCLOPS".....a bit absurd to name even a nick, if this person belongs to a forum like here he's (CowClops) is bound to take some lashing because of this seller. Sure the price is nice but it's still your cover art disc Rik, what a bummer. The dude/dudette has no appreciation for "giving thanks" where it is truly due.....and he certainly didn't do the work to earn any money off of it.

The force is definately "not" strong with that one......

Extended Universe
Time
Tales From Jabba's Palace and the Bounty Hunter Wars are two great publications that really fill some gaps in the OT quite nicely.....Boba Fett and his Sarlaac adventure, meeting Dengar, Bossk, and some of the other hunters...........nice to read about some of the "how's" and "why's" about characters you only see briefly.

And while I am at it, Shadows Of The Empire, is a nice fill in too....... Peace!!!!

2 versions of EP3? this is out of control
Time
I found this little tidbit today whilst surfing the net:

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Reports are now coming in from digital screenings of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith that, in fact, the film is not extended in those prints. So what does this mean to you? Most likely that the film won't change significantly for the DVD release later this year. Then again, both I & II were extended slightly when they came home so who knows. As for the "Sith" DVD, George Lucas and producer Rick McCallum have confirmed that it will feature five to six deleted scenes, for which ILM is currently finishing effects work. Likely candidates for the scenes include lengthier scenes from the battle on Kashyyyk (including a "crazy" mud-covered Yoda), Padme's role in the beginnings of the Rebellion, talkative Senate scenes (featuring a young Mon Mothma) and Qui-Gon Jinn's cameo. Current rumors point tentatively to a November 8th release. At the very least expect the DVD before Christmas.

a fresh rant about ep.3
Time
Hardcore,

All those OT diehards aren't as stuffy as you seem to make them out to be. Of course, without the old we couldn't have the new but the technology makes the PT more appealing to the newer fans because those are the kind of movies they grew up with. Us "diehards" were more satisfied with the human story telling and look of the OT because you could relate to it no matter who you were.....look and Star Trek Enterprise......a story that predates the "Kirk" era but looks like it is taking place in the here and now.....not a way to keep the passion of what made the original Star Trek what it is and keep that intact. The PT should have been made to look "dated" as well to keep the integrity of the entire saga....it just makes good sense.........you would be hard pressed to deny that at least....

Sorry if this got off the topic....

I really believe that EP III has alot to offer fans old and new. It shows the flaws of characters and their beliefs. A little more film to maybe show Darth Vader in action with the troops and that "great red lightsaber" would have been welcomed along with a holographic message or two from Tarkin to Palpatine to really give ANH a kickstart the right way would have been also greatly appreciated.

My review of Episode III (minor, minor spoilers)
Time
While we are on the subject of Palpatine and manipulation.......during the Mace/Anakin/Palpatine scene I noticed something....Palpatine "seems" to be using that ole "jedi mind trick" on Mace to manipulate Anakin with words that were used by him previously in the Anakin/Dooku duel......

Palpatine: (after Anakin beheads Dooku) You did good, he was too dangerous to keep alive...

Later, in the Mace/Palpatine duel....Palpatine groveling about being too weak....

Mace: I'm going to end this once and for all
Anakin: You can't, he must stand trial
Mace: He has control of the of the Senate and the courts, he's too dangerous to be kept alive......

Mace seems to be conflicted mentally while Palps is stating he is too weak...and the rest is history. It is nice to see this sort of consistency with this movie as it is carried over into the OT with the Emperor braging about everything going as he has planned it ....including the "disfiguring story" he feeds to the senate to manipulate them, this guy is one big evil. It seems a shame that Lucas wouldn't have had @ least some of the jedi be able to pick up on such a strong evil presence in the force so close to them sooner(making Mace's death more honourable).

I also disagree with some on the voice change of Palpatine being a part of his battle with Mace and the force lightning, being proven in his words to Anakin in the Dooku battle, his true voice seems apparent early on (albeit maybe by accident over the exhiliration of the moment) when he tells Anakin to kill Dooku........all in all, I need at least a second viewing on the big screen just to take in all the elements this movie seems to carry........

Episode 3 was disappointing on many levels...
Time
"Because Anakin would make the jump - he would just never complete the landing. Obi-wan tried to give him fair warning, because HE DID NOT WANT TO DO WHAT HE KNEW HE HAD TO DO. Obi-wan was trying to stave off the inevitable, and Anakin forced his hand. Not to mention the "high ground" could also be a metaphor for his moral standing - "you can't defeat me because I am fighting for good.""

Expanding on MeBeJedi's point , Anakin and Obi-Wan consider each other family, brothers in arms, father and son, mentor and apprentice........Obi-Wan seems to be giving Anakin a hint hoping to touch something in him that might make him reconsider his attack and his turn to the dark side......a place to ground himself if you will but Anakin's emotions seem to block all he should know and he proceeds anyways (maybe subconciously hoping Obi-Wan may kill him to end his torture, instead of maming him like he does) and that might explain why Anakin tells Obi-Wan he hates him.....because Obi-Wan waivers in his compassion for Anakin and his feelings towards him.

This is all conjecture and my own humble opinion but with all the seemingly silent connections to outer inspirations for the movies, this does seem possible. That or I am just really full of shite and need a good ole force "beiotch" smack.......lmao

Peace!!!!

My review of Episode III (minor, minor spoilers)
Time
I second and third Jay's observations here.....it would also seem that with everything going on in the movie it was designed as one huge marketing fiesta in the name of a "George" retirement party fund (considering his divorce)....proven by the fact that the limited "Lava" Darth Vader Target Exclusive figure is selling in upwards of $100.00 for something that was $6.99 when first purchased. That stinks.....

I did like the movie and I enjoyed it's humor. I also believe Ewan deserves alot of credit. His character above all was the one that really shines here. Yoda pulls it off to......that "little green friend" to all. I was a bit disappointed in the Anakin/Dooku fight scene. It seemed devoid of the emotion that is said to "lead to the darkside". And the look on Dooku's face when he finds out his time is up....it's like he is getting ready to "drop the kids off at the pool" and the toilet paper in the stall is dumb-struck scented. Mace Windu doesn't get a fitting end either in my opinion. His lines seem forced and like "he" thought something different should be said since he "is" portraying the venerable Jedi Master. I also would have liked to see the end be a bit closer to ANH in design. The Tantive looked great, it was everything else. Also, being able to see Darth Vader in some action in the suit before the end bringing the turmoil of the OT to a better focus would have really tied things tighter.

I remember Peter Jackson stating that GL had given him some pointers on how to visually make the story progress and be tangible. During this movie it seems that maybe he took "some" cue from the LOTR series to try and better this one but he falls short, bouncing around way too much and too quickly just to show all the splendor that is CGI. He has the right idea but can't seem to wrap his "brillo-pad" looking head around the emotion and passion needed to fulfill his destiny with Star Wars.

Visually: this movie was really stunning!!!
Acting: Ewan really deserves the hat on this one....Fantastic nod to the fans with his realistic portrayal.
Music: Not really anything to write home about...I hope John Williams has some work lined up....this one isn't his best even tho it's not rock bottom.
Editing: Copy, Paste, Copy, Paste......need I say more.

My nephew enjoyed himself so that is truly what counts on this day. I will wait til the DVD release to really watch it again. I do hope that Lucas kept a few things aside as ROTS seems riddled with little hints aside from the Clone War nods and it would be nice to see a fuller, richer, more natural cut.

Enjoy the show.......!!!!

ROTS: Tonight
Time
I got about 8 hours here in the Central Time Zone as I am doing a midnite showing........I have seen pages of the EP 3 comic and been here and there for tidbits but I will take my own mind with me......It seems such a waste for GL to take this New-Gen PT and ruin it for fans of the entire Star Wars universe by slapping down a crappy, no-good, poodoo-ridden climax that fans old AND new are waiting to see. Please wish me luck as I know in my heart of hearts the expectation is taller than a Massassi temple.

LONG LIVE STAR WARS!!!!
