I just snagged and watched this ..... very nice indeed.

I have the 4 Sony double pak Blu sets that just came out. They're great.

I'd love to see a cap of Godzilla 1985. One of few that hasn't seen any attention outside of LD and VHS.

I hope they stay away from the time travel component. It would seem to defeat the purpose of the show as a bridge. They could do more Howard Stark stuff right through to his eventual murder via Zola. I'd also like to see maybe some stories following The Howling Commandos as well.

Who knows what we'll get ..... I do have faith as well.

So folks know, this is not dead.

We have audio finished already and I'm getting to finishing another round of audio to send to DoomBot for edit/sync. My favorite so far has been Event Horizon. The Bluray sounded awesome with the cinema DTS audio attached to it.

I also had a chance to synch The Mummy HD-DVD to DTS cinema audio and it was another fun experience.

I know kk650 has used our Matrix audio for his stuff and TeamBlu just put out their ANH SE Bluray with the cinema DTS audio so there is stuff happening.

I think you should avoid the DV codec if possible. Its lossy so you are compressing your video three times in that workflow. If you can only capture in DV, then perhaps using a lossless codec for the intermediate file or just encoding directly to MPEG2/AVC whilst removing the pulldown would be better.

I'm currently working on producing a similar project using the PAL discs, which are missing only couple of frames here and there, specifically to show case the DTS audio. I've found that I'm probably going to have to find a better copy of Empire. Its littered with odd noise on the copy I have. Speaking from experience, my copy of the NTSC set plays with crosstalk in one player and it is absent in my other player, so it would seem its not always caused by the discs.

I wonder if captures of the 2 Japan SE sets would yield a full copy with no frames missing. Any idea if they are the same as the US set in this regard?
