I remember looking at them and seeing some hotspots in the DTS audio but it was apparently deliberate, I guess that is what I was trying to say. Sorry.
:)
So that's a no? LOL
EPIX is doing a Godzilla Marathon today, anyone capping?
As far as I've read, the audio for these was created beefy especially for the theater experience.
Now, I cannot say whether one is better than the other. I also do not know if every theater they played at made use of the DTS .... I'm sure some may not have had the capability even though DTS was fairly established by 1997 but it's good to get other info on AC3 to understand the relative between the mixes.

Well, you could always use the video stream from the AVCHD - the bitrate of the MKV is only a bit higher and it's encoded with very high quality slow settings, so in terms of quality, the AVCHD should be better than a re-encode of the MKV.
Ahhh thanks. Now to try and find it...
The clue was already given ....... "This can be found at the usual paradoxical place in the same thread as the Despecialized Edition."

Herb Jeffries, the "Bronze Buckaroo". Also famous for singing with Duke Ellington for many years. He turned 100 last year.
I had the good fortune of backing Jeffries up for a weekend at a jazz festival back in 1989. He was not only an astounding singer and consummate professional, he also was extremely kind and patient with us. He announced me as "one swinging drummer", a compliment I'll never forget from such a legendary singer.
Here is a clip I posted several years ago from that weekend:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nP_8CV5HtQ
What a voice! Hard to believe that at 75, he still had 25 more years of a career ahead of him. His biggest hit was "Flamingo"... he joked that he sung that tune so many times he could sing it on one leg.
Awesome memories .... thanks for sharing.
Get Smart (Found)
Gladiator (Found)
Green Mile (Found)
Iron Man (Found)
These 4 titles have been added to the list.
:)
I was asked for the DTS trailer audio for these German trailers.
The link below is for Thorr's project for which I provided the DTS cinema audio. Just so everyone knows, DTS cinema audio cannot just be played by any machine. It has to be decoded. DTS cinema processors do just that. When it is done by hand it goes in to mono files for each separate channel and then they are used to create the DTS-HD files for projects.
Any updates for us on this?
Because I enjoy being a thorn in your side .............. :)

All I could find on Steve Johnson DVD ....... don't know if this is what anyone is talking about.
Yeah, that's the title, it just doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Will drop them an email and see what they say - last time I checked out the Eon Website it appeared to be an old / orphan page, so it looks like they've done an update.
Hi folks! Yes, we did create that DVD and had a fantastic run of it. It contained more than what we posted on YouTube. It is actually a 2 disc set. We stopped production on it, but if there is enough interest then we would do another run.
If you're interested in ordering Back Into the Abyss, you can subscribe to our newsletter. It's at the bottom of our website.
Signed up, thanks Eon.

My question is this ..... does anyone have or is there English audio for 2000 because I believe the International version is extended?
Ask Mike Schlesinger, the U.S. Godzilla 2000 producer. Word has it he has a VHS tape of the unreleased HK export dub in his office or something. But in all seriousness, I hope it's included on the U.S. Blu-Ray since they'll probably end up including the Japanese cut.
Thanks for the heads up.
I am snagging 3 25GB Godzilla movies that have German/Japan audio .... Tokyo SOS, Giant All Out Monsters Attack, and 2000.
My question is this ..... does anyone have or is there English audio for 2000 because I believe the International version is extended?

Try the 'spleen, if you've been invited.
First off, I am a huge fan of this project. Alas, I have been trying to get behind the velvet rope of The Spleen forum, but to no avail. When I could not get in, I tried teh Paradox and JDownloader. Unfortunately, after 4 attempts, my checksum never matches up. Also, Jdownloader is waaaaay bloated with spamware. I am so excited to watch, but I cannot seem to get in.
If an invite the Spleen is around, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you for the consideration.
The above link I posted is WHERE you NEED to go to request invites. Project threads are NOT. Follow the instructions given in the 1st post.
Hope this clears things up.
Team, I look forward to the last 2 installments of both versions. It's always nice to see what can be done with what is available.

Why was this posted here and not in the General Star Wars Discussion is what I want to know.
I have been told it is referred to as an "organic drift" in conversation.
With that in mind, could we please get back on topic folks?
Here’s a kind of convoluted rumor for you to chew on as we continue to wait for no news about Star Wars: Episode VII. According to an interesting e-mail we’ve intercepted, and which purports to come from within Disney’s marketing department, the studio are planning to re-release A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi on DVD/Blu-Ray/On Demand in their original form, without all the things George Lucas changed for the “Special Edition” releases back in 2004.
At least they specified .......
It carries the audio over from the old bluray but this is new video .... I have found nothing linking this video to the older transfer at all.

As for the last, majorly douchey comment by Dark-jedi : FYI, There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting a logo before the film starts at all - it's completely outside of the film, and completely unobstrusive. Your comment is both unnecessary and rather transparent: You might as well have added that you can pee 2 feet further than anyone else in the class, claimed that your mother bought your nicer clothes, stick out your tongue and throw your lolly on the ground.
Maybe I am one of the few who understand where DJ is coming from as none of the material being restored/fixed/adjusted/ and such is the property of the person doing the archive/restoration and putting a personal logo on such a project kinda makes it look like that person is laying claim that it's their property.
I believe ADM did some similar stuff with personal logos prior to movie start which I found disappointing.
Now if there is something in the menu leading to a spot regarding "about this restoration", that would seem more reasonable place to identify ones self and what they put in to the project and why.
In the end, it's not a douchey comment unless one feels their ownership of the project through such means is justified even though they don't own the source material.

Me and BoxMonster are working on a version 2.0 of the Kong restoration that will have the alternate mono sound mix and actual subtitles (not the shitty VDK ones).
I would certainly welcome this.
It's hard I know.
People want to talk about stuff they really like even though not everyone is in the same mode but it can be difficult to remember that when one is so excited.
I usually wait a week or two with movies and I try to do the same with episodes, just gives others a chance to be up to speed.

Hi
Firstly, I'd like to congratulate team Blu on their fine work. I've stumbled upon this forum while looking for the best version of GOUT. Could I please still donate to this project to receive the aforementioned package? Because I'm scared I'll dissapoint people by not seeding enough (sadly, I'm new to private torrents too so I don't really understand the process ). Thanks in advance!
If I'm not mistaken, donations are over. If you learn the torrenting side of things you can become better at it. We learn by doing.
It may also be possible if you ask politely that someone might consider doing a blanks and postage arrangement for you.

Okay, they seem to be dropping hints that Fitz will not be in season two,I hope that isn't true and that they let the character recover because he was my favorite. It can be as long and painful as the writers want as long as they have him in the show and just don't drop him. If he is in season two i hope that don't pull this thing of having him tell Simmons how he feels and then have him not remember it due to brain damage. That always bugs me when they do that one Tv. What is the point of showing an event if you are going to use brain damage or time travel to have everyone act like it didn't happen. Revelations like that should have some impact on the characters and their stories,if the writers don't want to play them out that is fine but then they shouldn't write them into the show in the first place.
Any way I just wanted to say that is my biggest worry about season two, that my favorite character will not be in it. I can't believe I have to wait until the fall to see what is going to happen.
Spoilers over.
A little late for the "spoiler" alert thingy.
Anyways, I finally decided to sit down and watch the last 5 episodes. Turn, Turn, Turn was where I left off. I am hoping they try and get back to the original premise of little to no tie-ins unless absolutely necessary. With Shield having a new start this could be a great way to make things more exciting and really show off it's own muscle.

I just finished downloading. The JSC trilogy and TPM extracted fine, but I can't get any of the SE trilogy to repair. SW has 51 damaged files, TESB has 54 damaged files, and ROTJ has 1 damaged file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem. I was bummed.
