OK, so I guess the 1992 LD and the Signature a Collection will need to be compared.

Same thing happened with The Thing, many home releases prior to the Signature Collection LD removed Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" due to the difficulty of licensing certain songs for home video at the time. (Which reminds me, we need a reconstruction of the theatrical soundtrack for National Lampoon's Vacation that restores "I'm So Excited" to the Ferrari scenes.)

I have the Signature Collection DVD and if I'm not mistake, Superstition is there.

Would you like me to double check?

Various sites indicate H6 was released in Ultra-Stereo for home video, so which releases have it? The 'Echo Bridge' DVD and Blu-Ray releases *might* contain the Ultra-Stereo.

The early DVD release which I have .... it says it on the back and I believe it is in the download I sent you the link for.

The first Bluray has the 2.0 in lossless, the new one from the set does not.

I have feelers out already on a few FB pages for these.  I will keep you all posted.

Any nibbles yet? I am having ZERO luck myself on these 2.

So far, no.  I did find a US Halloween 6 LD with Ultra Stereo but nothing else so far.  I'm going to hit a few resale shops this weekend and see if I can happen upon them.  Wish me luck.

LOL

For kargath, x5gb, and Amnachar .... you may not ask for invites here ... go to the thread below and try your luck.  With all the newbie hit n runners coming here to go there you may find it a bit difficult to manage one but it's worth a try.

Who cares about whether or not one of our members uses improper grammar when they go fishing? ...And if you weren't talking about fish, the same stands. I don't think we'd care to spend any effort finding out, either.

Oddly enough, when you type stuff like this it leads me to believe this account may be a a singularly allowed community sock used by only a few members.  The reason I suspect this is due to the change in tone when it comes to responses.  I could be wrong but I'm sure no-one would admit to me being right if it is.

I think you missed his joke as he was playing off of your new rule...and a potential change to the spelling of carp might help to understand his second bit of teasing... ;-)

It was the last part of the post that got me thinking ..... this serious internet is so damn cold when it comes to interpreting the meanings of others through their words ..... I've made plenty of mistakes myself.  Apologies Ric, if this is the case with your post.

:)

Hey, someone on FanRes.com did an audio fan perservation on Halloween 4, Halloween 5 and Halloween 6 which it is an 2.0 AC3 track. I think you guys go there and listen to the audio track if it's right or not right.

No-one did a preservation on the audio.  I uploaded 2.0 audio there so we can try and figure out the difference.

Thanks for the heads up though ..... LOL

Because this thread is supposed to be fun ..... why wig out?  It was a play on Frink's use of the "Carp", or is this unacceptable to you?

Which F-word are you referring to? The one that rhymes with "duck" or the one that rhymes with "maggot"?

OR ..... the one that rhymes with "stink"?

;)

Why do you think you're so damned funny?  Frink's punchlines miss a lot of the time, but going after him over and over has no point whatsoever.

It was a joke ......  I'm often accused of not having a sense of humor or at the least not having one that is equal or acceptable to certain members.

I am actually ok with Frink, we don't always agree on a lot, but it doesn't mean I wish him ill will.

I'm glad someone got the reference.

Idea & Info: is their anyone willing to edit the original ultra stereo tracks of halloween 4 and 5 laserdisc to sync up with the blu rays?
Time

I received the first pressing of the Halloween 4 DVD that is supposed to have the original "Ultra Stereo" 2.0 mix.

I am not sure how to visually represent a comparison since we do not have the US Laserdisc soundtracks ripped from these two movies.

Until that happens this is going to be hit and miss.  I am willing to share all 3 2.0 mixes for 4, 5, and 6 from DVD.  I actually have the early H6 Blu that has the lossless 2.0 as well.
