The bluray cases can be found in Criterion's online store in packs of 5.
I can't seem to find it on their site, what is the thickness of the cases?
Here they are:
http://www.criterion.com/shop_products/91-clear-blu-ray-case-5-pack
Smithers is looking for actual measured dimensions of those Criterion cases. Criterion doesn't make them though, someone else does. So, via quick google search I offered up my findings in my last post

Cool! Would you verify which aspect ratio was put onto the laserdisc (US or JP)? And, better yet, could you cap & post the shot like what I posted here? (It's at the beginning -- the 1st close-up shot of Knick the snowman as he turns his head over to the other knick-knacks' party.)
Also, the workstation monitor picture (snagged from one of those Pixar info sites) has videotape's tell-tale data-noise at bottom-frame. It's possible it's from a documentary on the VHS. Is something like this also on your laserdisc? If so, would you cap & post that, too? (The snagged picture looks like a geometrically distorted screener snapshot.)
I have this one, US version .....
![]()
I am not setup to cap as of yet due to some issues I had a ways back but I could setup and see what happens.
As for the picture .... I have a widescreen tv, 42 inch, and the entire screen was filled while watching the shorts. I believe the movie is 1:77:1, per the director.
http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/07257/8847-CS/Toy-Story:-Deluxe-Edition-%281995%29
It is what it is. It's a product from a different time. I don't think Pixar thought these would become so popular that they could make money on them by putting them all on a bluray or dvd.
I don't have an issue with someone wanting the way it was .... it's not dirty or anything, it's just a Pixar animated short, not Hentai.
TeamBlu,
I have watched both Terminator releases and let me just say, they look great. Having them look like film AND have real audio choices was well worth the time and bandwidth to snatch them both.
The extras are a great treat as well. Nostalgia runs amok on these 2 releases and I say that as a compliment. Too bad OT.com couldn't have it's OWN film studio where different contributors made up the library of movies done right (we're just not an official studio).
Anyways, I'd like to thank all the members of the team for a job well done and well cared for. These 2 are top notch in the list you've guys tackled so far.
Cheers!!!!
I have the Toy Story LD box that has shorts on it. It is always a treat to watch.

I can PM you a muxable .mp3 of the Titan dub from the MB DVD if it pains you that much.
If you still have this would you be willing to send it to me. I'd love to add it in and have 2 choices instead of one.
Thanks Space Hunter M

I didn't invite you on purpose, Fo, and I've been waiting these 4 or 5 years for you to notice and take offense.
MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED
Anyways- thanks for the thread bumps!
BTW, Frink- these potatoes don't peel themselves! BACK TO WORK! (whip sounds)
Fair enough.

I have found that this sentiment doesn't get people pumped to help folks out anywhere in the world.
Wut?
I'll explain ........
Quite crappy of you to say for sure. Golden Oldies just may not be everybody's thing like it is yours. Doesn't mean they don't care.
Some of us live quite far from you and since it sounds like money is tight for you, expecting someone to pop out of the woodwork just for your cause, is a bit arrogant don't you think?
Well done.
First you dig up a post two years later to comment, then you dig it up two years beyond that to comment again.
And...you may think you are chastising some random idiot jerk on the internet, but I've spent time with xhonzi, I've peeled his potatoes, and I've had dinner with his family. He's a great guy, and you're making a mistake in judging him the way you are.
I did not dig it up a second time, franz6780 dug it up on April 21, 2015
6:55 PM. I'm surprised you missed that ... you're usually fairly good at such things, LOL.
When I posted my last remark, I will say, I didn't look at dates. Lastly, I do not know xhonzi like you say you do. If he's cool, then his words just came off poorly, and I apologize.
I know he's not some random idiot jerk on the net.
You guys never invited me over for dinner?
;)
Anyways, I am sorry if that isn't how he meant his words to sound, it was just how I read them.

Is there a planetary confunction or something, LOL? I have been getting random pm's lately about people wanting me to help them get stuff they want ....... but it never happens to me otherwise. I am usually in contact with someone prior to sorting out details.
It kinda weirded me out for a bit.
JEDIT:
Fixed my spelling error before Frink could .... ;)
Alt.Binz is what I use.

There's always a straggler around here, LOL.
Check your pm's suntech.
:)
I'd also like a pm, please ... I have no experience with newsgroups and I have no idea where to look ... :-(
Do you have a program to use for reading the newsgroups?

Tired of searching on lddb every time you need to know something about a Star Wars laserdisc?
I thought to gather all Star Wars laserdisc releases in one place; hope you'll find it useful!
I took a gander at this Andrea. Very spartan design which helps for those just wanting basic info.
Nicely done.

There's also http://www.blam1.com/StarWars/index.htm, and he has a site for Star Trek releases, too.
I am friends with the guy who runs this site. He is very knowledgeable.
This is why I collect all the covers that get posted ...... I've got about 13GB of stuff that started with the "Laserman" disc of art that was sent out for those who donated to his cause due to medical needs.

My question is this ..... does anyone have or is there English audio for 2000 because I believe the International version is extended?
Ask Mike Schlesinger, the U.S. Godzilla 2000 producer. Word has it he has a VHS tape of the unreleased HK export dub in his office or something. But in all seriousness, I hope it's included on the U.S. Blu-Ray since they'll probably end up including the Japanese cut.
I have not found anyway, as of yet, to contact Mr. Schlesinger to ask this question. Too bad Godzilla Reborn got buried ..... I bet it would have been cool.
:)
There already is a fixed version of this out there ...... far as I know. It also had the commentary track that was nixed for the 2nd Blu-ray release.

All I can say is WOW and Thank You.
The Terminator.
Looks amazing! The colour and detail on display here are the best Ive ever seen T1 look.
It was so good hearing the original audio mix, Im not a fan of the new 5.1 SFX changes so this was perfect. (Just to let you know my amp would not decode the 1.0 track properly, so watched it with the 2.0 mix.)
Ive not had a chance to watch the 'Making Off' yet but it quality looks good. I think it's the same version on 'Men Of Action' I had it on (U.K) VHS back in the day. The International Trailer was great also.
Menu and presentation were very professional and easy to negotiate around, everything seemed to work fluently.
Terminator 2
This was the big surprise for me, ive not seen it look better! considering the material you have to work this is magic. Colour, detail and compression were spot on.
What can I say, the CDS mix! Left me Pumped. Im sure theres a reason they messed with it (for the Special Edition?) but Im sure I won't agree. While its not as extreme as T1's 5.1 audio re-master, it was nice to hear the music at a decent level for one.
Extras and Disc presentation were again top noch. Id not seen The GNR video in years, and I never noticed how AXEL was not actually singing the words to the song.
I would like to be more more specific on technical aspects in this 'gushing' review but I was sucked into both movies like it was the first time!
These are my first experience of a TeamBLU presentation and it's amazing the time and love that you have put into these releases. Good luck with all your future projects.
On a side note it would be great to hear more about how you did some of this? What processes you used ect. Or is that a guarded bag of tricks ;)
DJ and TeamBlu,
I HAVE to second the Commodore's sentiments on these two releases although my first experience was Conan. All around a great experience in both audio and video. It is really great to have these in the collection as I can show them off when like-minded friends are over.
Keep up the great flow ..... TeamBlu has a solid thing going. All of your efforts are appreciated.

If you read the post, he is not looking to give all the tapes to the same person?
Sucks to be him then, LOL.
:)
I'm not down with all this speculation and the brain bending questions left unanswered.
From what I've seen, there is real environment in the movie and to me THAT was the charm of the Original Trilogy and Phantom Menace (not including Jar-Jar of course). THAT is what makes the movies special for me. Tangible places and things that tie themselves to the real world, not that CGI crap.
I am happy to see that JJ Abhrams is honoring that. Like new Star Trek or not, he made them with the real world in mind and to me that made them enjoyable on their own.
I am excited for Christmas. I WILL be at the midnight premier with my daughter.
May the force be with us all.
:)
