And sinders .....

I have donated to other projects during my tenure here and I have never once expected instant first elite special access to any of them.  They are ready when they are ready.  As long as I'm able to get access to it so I can enjoy it, I'm good.

You should be too.

My suggestion was because I see a lot of comments here with people not too keen on paying Team Blu to get their releases out there when all others will get access to releases for absolutely nothing.

If Team Blu was to offer something to those that do give this kind of support then it might make people feel more better about it and perhaps they might get more people to give this kind support.

I never asked anything in return and I am still not asking for anything.

But you are asking for something in return for those who donate.  I donate to these projects freely and then others are able to get them so why do freebies need to be involved to encourage more people to donate?

I am seeding at least 4 of Team_Blu's uploads over at BT ...... I used my ratio and donated to the site for up-keep to make sure they would be available for others.

Maybe I missed something here but some are unable to donate or they are just not interested in these releases.  At this point, as long as the uploads are available, I don't see any issue with folks not being able to get them.

Jetrell, my posts have (new) information and I'm posting (my) comments and asking for comments as well.

I don't understand what you're saying and I don't understand what you have an issue or problem with. Seriously and sheesh!

I said I was not trying to come off mean and I meant it.  Spaced did obvious research that could have been done by you and you still sound like you don't believe him, that is what I was referring to.

Having extra info is great, but it put you no closer to believing that the mix you're looking for just may not exist.

I have no personal issue with you.  I don't want one either.  I'm just going by what I read.  The internet can be cold and what one means doesn't always come across that way so I may be entirely wrong.

fyi .... you said this while wanting "other" 2001 fans to respond even though you have been given answers to said questions ....

Also, can someone else besides Spaced confirm the "I read you" line and the directional dialog (in the scene I pointed out here) on the 1999 (1st) Warner DVD? There may be 2 different 1999 Warner DVDs (see here), however this has yet to be confirmed (at least in my opinion).

skoal,

We went throug a similar situation with the guy looking for particular Halloween audio and we all suggested that he do some of the research for himself due to all the work some of us others were doing for no good reason other than trying to be nice.

Now, you are asking others to do the searching for you and aren't happy when you get some solid answers with pictures included to help sort things out.  I have personally filled pm requests from you for audio of things I bought for myself.

Please, try to be a bit more reasonable here.

Even I went to ebay to search out some info for this question.  I asked a seller about getting a pic of the disc inside the 1999 DVD they had for sale to make sure it's not the MGM one.  You could have easily done this yourself.  At this point, once I get a response from the seller, I almost hesitant to post again in this thread because you may not believe my answer even with a picture.

I'm just saying, this is getting frustrating.  Sorry if I come off mean, I don't mean to.

team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)

I'm sure the final release will not be watermarked. The ESB releases weren't anyway.

I was aware of this because I have the ESB releases and I'm sure they wouldn't do it to the final release either.

I just thought this cut it a little close to the edge, that's all.

There are other ways to differentiate their shots from others as not too many people are doing the same film projects like this with the same exact prints.

I noticed that team_negative1 is now watermarking screen caps ..... has something transpired to make this necessary?

They were watermarking them back on the blog (and probably before) with a great big "SAVING STAR WARS" logo, and then stopped for a while.

I guess I was wondering because watermarking usually denotes ownership.  I know they own the prints but the movies themselves as we all know belong to someone else.  I just didn't want to see "issues" happen over that because this is a very worthwhile and long overdue project for all of us.

Star Wars 1977 releases on 35mm

I've been inundated with messages asking me about this, so I just want to let people know that I am currently scanning all three films.

I have more prints at the moment than I do HDDs to store them on, if anyone sees good deals on 5TB HDDs, please let me know, I need another 60TB just to be able to scan the films I have in the queue.

As posted in the other thread, this is how a scan looks at SD

and here is how it looks at about half resolution (i.e. 3983 x 1740).

The full resolution scans are @ 4096 x 3488

I'll post some of the requested scenes as soon as I can make/acquire some more disc space, should be able to put some more images up next month.

I wish people would let you be so you can finish your work.  Thanks for the snapshot.  I am patient.  It will pay off.

If you have nothing nice to say then you shouldn't comment on other peoples posts at all.

Some people take offense to sarcasm.

Thin skin doesn't hold up well around here.

Thin skin doesn't hold up well IRL either.

So true.

I also think us that do help in this way should get something nice in return. I am not sure what this would be but it would be nice if Team Blu did do something, set something up to show their appreciation to those that help in this way.

Like Creating the best Blu Ray Releases of films that have otherwise been neglected by the studios perhaps?

Yes. Another good thing Tem Blu could perhaps do is to create FTP access on the seedbox server for access to very special Team Blu releases, new releases which are shared only via FTP for a while to those that help pay the seedbox server costs before it gets released on torrent for anybody to get hold of.

Us that give this support get hold of the releases first kind of thing if you know what I mean.

Maybe Team_Blu could personally deliver them to your place as well ....  do a little dance, sing a little song .......  I know I couldn't be satisfied without such treatment.

Did you re-check your sources or play the actual disc?

I checked the disc.

On the off chance there may have been a "quiet re-release" of corrections (it's happened before -- on the Star Warslaserdiscs, for example), here is this disc's movie-files listing from Windows Explorer:

The VOB files on my disc were created on 16th July 1998. So now I suppose that, as you said, there has been a quiet re-release. My disc is contained in a Warner case, inside the 1999 Warner boxset of Kubrick films, but it seems that the disc itself is identical to the 1998 MGM release. Since your disc is different, Warner must have produced a new disc. Or, now that I'm thinking of it, since the box was used when I bought it, it could be that the previous owners switched the discs.

Best way to settle this would be to post a pic of the actual disc you have that you've been checking.  I KNOW I have the 1998 MGM release of this movie with the animated menu.  I would gladly post a pic of the one I have.

This confusing back n forth is just gonna tire out this thread and that is not fair to the OP.
