It works PERFECTLY in WMP.

Here is a link to a codec pack.
Just download the basic one and install. You shouldn't have any problems viewing Adywans stuff after that.

Thanks, I’ll do that and see how it goes, touch wood.

Well I’m going to try plan E now as I’ve gone though A B C and D and they where no joy, so now on to plan E.

Click on the free download link, wait the amount of time stated, then click on the download. Then, you will have to unpack the .rar files.

Yeah I’m in the process of doing that now. I didn’t know the site is a bit like Youtube? So isn’t there a direct link page to watch adywan work on the site without going though so much red tape. Only 78% to go now!

Approx 260mb. I've had to split it into 3 files again (at least if only 1 fails then it isn't such a huge file to reupload again) it should only be about 35 mins left now

here's the first file:
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 1 - megaupload

I know is going sound dumb, but once I’ve clicked on the link how do I go about, watching it? Thanks

Yeah, thanks for the info JT, this is really facinating. You know, someday when I am a billionaire, I am gonna buy that theater, and have private screenings of classic movies during the off hours. And all of you guys are invited!

But the Empire at London is one of the coolest cinemas in the Europe and the UK.

Correction:

But the Empire at London is THE coolest cinema in the WORLD.

Well I didn’t want to put down the Famous Mann Chinese theatre in L.A. so I used Europe, but if you insist, then LOL, World it is. You could buy a cinema if you where a billionaire the whole chain, or make a perfect offer that they can’t refuse on one single cinema house in the nation.

If you just type xvid into Google then you should find all the info/files you need. Alternatively you could download VLC which is a media player that has most common codecs built into it. However, I run it on a Mac, and have heard VLC isn't as user friendly on a PC.
Hope that helps man.

EDIT: Tubes, I like how we both responded with almost identical responses at exactly the same time. Cheers Mate

Yeah I just visited one site but I haven’t committed the program to the computer has of yet, I’m waiting for adywan to solve the problem on his end because he’s removed the files from the thread for modification I think?

Alternately, you can download a different media player like VLC, which can play nearly everything the internet can throw at you (except Realplayer, but who cares about Realplayer anyways).

Cheers mate I’ll try that out thou I was going to try KeepVid and upload that program and transfer the link over to KeepVid and then try and watch it.

Damn it hasn’t opened! I’ve had bad past experience with rapidfiles in the past. Is there a simple program that you can recommend to play the file with, (Windows Media) won’t do, nor will the (Nero Start Smart).

Windows Media Player works fine. You'll need a xvid codec though.

How you do go about that then because (computer language) is a whole new learning ground for me every day. So do I have to reformat that coding on the file for Windows to read the file, is that what you’re saying.

Thanks.

Mr. Tomlinson Holman, THX interview and more!

As I’m sure a lot of Star Wars fans here would be familiar with the THX certification that is used in cinemas to improve on the technicalities like cinema loudspeakers amplifiers room acoustics and a whole lot more as well.

So hear it is an interview with Mr. Tomlinson Holman the creator of the THX cinema sound system and professor of sound engineering. It’s very interesting stuff and (insightful detailed) I hope you enjoy it. The download time will take a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the size of the data, please be patient!

Use QuickTime for playback or other.

1 How did THX come about?

2 THX baffle wall and mathematics?

3 The future of Digital cinema and surround music?

4 The future of multi-channel music?

5 Wave field and multi channel, 1933 stereo experiment?

6 5.1, and the future of more channels VS the frequency range and dynamic range?

I used to work as projectionist many years back around (1989) late of 89 till around (1990) with UCI that is in my home town area, well about 6 miles away.

Your right cinema projection is the last part of the art in presentation, after all the work as been done from production post production advertisement and then shown to the public. The last cinema chain I worked for in the UK was Warner Village cinemas at Bristol (1998).

But the Empire at London is one of the coolest cinemas in the Europe and the UK.

LOL even the wookie gets a medal now well done chewie.

You’re not the only who didn’t like it and it was nothing more than a (visual effects publicity and Dolby re-mix stunt) to impress crowds. I would have sooner seen the originals new 35mm and a few 70mm exclusive engagements.

But it was great while it lasted that was until you realized most of it was a cheat and good way to milk us all over again.

But then again these are George’s films but then again if it wasn’t for the Star Wars fans there wouldn’t be no Empire Strikes Back no Jedi and surly not no prequels, if it wasn’t for us to help finance his Empire that is the money spent on the first film, needs to make back more than its investment and it did many times over.

I guess you could say thank you I enjoyed that film many times over and I’ll pay to see it again.

The Prequel trillogy bores the crap outta me i almost never watch it with out falling asleep, the story, characters, writing, acting is better in the original any ways and Luke is way more cooler than whining, bitching, manbraiden, stalking, wife beating, child killing Anakin.

Fixed!

Ya gotta love trolls!

Just because a few can’t figure it out doesn’t mean it needs to be locked up. I guess there a few here that haven’t read it yet might have a few wonderful bright ideas regarding the laserdisc Dolby digital mix. I have the (1997) THX laserdisc box-set but what I don’t have is the modification to the Pioneer laserdisc players, nor a (Dolby digital demodulator AC-3).

I have Dolby and dts decoding for DVD so the PCM uncompressed Dolby mix would have to suffice until the day comes and, I buy a third laserdisc player with Dolby AC-3 and a demodulator as well, as I would like to listen to the 1997 mixes.

I heard The Empire Strikes Back in six-channel dts at a local UCI cinema well partly six-channel, they forgot to install a sub bass array below the screen in the auditorium when dts was installed back in 1993.

So the LFE.1 or subwoofer channel was more than likely down-mixed into screen left and right, not that it was impacting enough to give me Goosebumps.
