Are you trying to delete it from within Windows? There are a million services that can be latching onto it. Try deleting it with the task manager open to the Processes tab. If anything other than SystemIdleProcess has more than 10% that may be the culprit.

If you can't kill the rogue process, try shelling out to a CMD prompt and deleting the file there. Type in delete /? to get the switches available. If there's one available for unconditional, use that.

If that doesn't work, boot the machine in safe mode command prompt and try that. If THAT doesn't work, boot from a DOS disk and delete it from there. If that doesn't work perform an exorcism.

A shame too, as he was one of the very few conservative (politically at least) memebers of the board. Too bad he was such a moron about how he argued.

Hey, I'm a Con!

Surprised he never came back. I'm sure there are ways around getting banned, and someone like that is usually pretty persistent, unfortunately.

We have Loews out here in the Midwest as well. I wonder if this will be the case for all of them. More power to them. I'll be curious to see if there is any advertiser backlash.

When are they starting to do this?

I believe they've already started.

The advertisers won't really have anything to say about it in the short term, IMO. Mostly because people are starting to sue the theaters over this. Again, IMO: This will lead to the theaters and studios putting commercials in DURING the movie. I don't think this will happen soon, however in ten years? I can picture that easily. That's why I'm building my home theater when I get into the new house.

Also, keep in mind that for the big movies like ROTS, people will still need to get there early to get a good seat. Who knows how it'll end up?

And the normal lot of commercials. I tell ya, I know advertisers love playing their commercials before movies because they have a captive audience, but I've made it a personal quest to never buy any of the products or take advantage of the services advertised via commercials in the theater. That's how pissed off I get about them. I want to run a theater where commercials are banned and trailers are actually run before showtime. I would make this policy known ahead of time so people know to get there on time or ahead of time. I wonder if anyone has ever tried this sort of thing before and what luck they did (or did not) have.

Saw a good mix of trailers during my two viewings. Batman Begins looks quite good. Looks like a faithful adaptation of the origin of Batman, not like that travesty in the first Michael Keaton Batman movie. Also saw one for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Also saw Fantastic Four trailer and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which I will love because Angelina is in it.

Let me say that I'm a HUGE C.S. Lewis fan. I've got several of his books, including Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters, and The Great Divorce. I think he's the best Christian Apologist in the last century.

I just picked up the phonebook size 1 volume collected "Chronicles of Narnia". Has anyone else seen the trailer? What did you think? Have you read the books?

There were several times where Grevious could have used more than one of his four blades to attack Obi-wan after blocking his saber. As cool as 4 lightsabers looked, Grevious (and in that regard, Gillard) did not create a reasonable fighting technique to necessitate having or fully utilizing four blades. Go back and watch what Maul did with two, and how Obi-wan responded, and get back to me.

Probably nitpicking, but while Grievous did say that he was trained in the Jedi Arts by Dooku, I would hesitate to say that those skills made him equal to that of a Jedi. Yes, the saber duel was too easy, but the overall battle with him was not.

My review of Episode III (minor, minor spoilers)
Time
My thoughts on the movie:

The beginning was clunky, and a bit overrated. You'd think the Trade Federation would upgrade their battledroids after seeing just how inept they are at every turn. And I see GL caved to the PC Police and changed the trade fed voices to sound "less ethnic".

****Spoilers ahead****

Again, in the beginning time seemed to drag, and the acting as always seemed to be comprised of the players reading their lines off a teleprompter, like a newsreader. Portman and Christensen were especially bad, and if I were Portman I'd shoot my hair stylist. Awful in the beginning. McGregor was better than he was in the first two. McDermaid: IMO, he deserves at least academy nomination. He really held the film together nicely. Dooku met his fate much too quickly.

The battle between Windu and Palpatine: Well done, if a bit contrived. As usual the idiot good guy has the bad guy where he wants him, then hesitates just long enough to insure that 25 years of havoc would follow.

Gen Grievous: I did not see all of Clone Wars, so I'm not really sure what everyone's problem was with him, and I also don't know why he was coughing and sneezing all the time. On the accusation that he was too easy to defeat: I disagree. He made a good chase of it.

The battles and duels were first rate, of course, although it seems at times that they were "twirling" their blades just to look good, as opposed to any real reason. The battle between Yoda and Palpatine was awesome, but the one between Obi-Wan and Annakin was definitely the highlight of the movie, and is probably the best overall duel in any of the 6 films.

The ending: It was surprisingly well tied together into the events of Episode IV. The awakening of Vader was going pretty good until they made it look like Frankenstein. I was waiting for Palpatine to scream "It's a-liiiiiiiveeee!" and the cliched "NOOOOOOO!!!!" scream.

The binary sunset at the end almost brought me to tears, as I think the original one in ANH is the most powerful scene in the saga.

Overall, I rate it as good as Jedi, not better...definitely worthy of the Star Wars name.

You actually wrote "how clever" on a translation tool or looked up in a dictionary, right? That sentence has no meaning...

Another thing which has no meaning and I might add to things I hate: life itself! Don't know if you've been through such a moment in your life in which everything feels so weird, like you life is a movie co-directed by David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick and Federico Fellinni based on a book by Franz Kafka.

Actually, I meant it in relation to your portuguese response in your previous post, so in that case it did make sense. I could have been clearer, but I figured it would suffice. My knowledge of portuguese in spite of my experience with many port people is extremely limited, mostly to greetings and a few other words, along with most of the nasty curse words.

I'm not fluent in Spanish, but I do have a strong grasp of it. As a result, I've found myself able to piece together stuff being said in Portuguese, French, and Italian. Enough to get by, at least.

I grew up in a town with a heavy Portuguese population (about 30%) and had many Port. friends. I also have many latino friends. The way I understand it, many hispanics have a great deal of difficulty with Portuguese, because of the sounds that are made during pronunciation, and some of the inflections. The reverse seems to be true about Portuguese people: they seem to understand Spanish quite well. A lot also depends on dialect. That is where the weirdness creeps in: most people who speak a particular language, like French, can understand eachother without a lot of work regardless of where they come from. There may be subtle differences, but it's not a huge problem. Canadian French can understand people from France and vise versa. However, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese seem to be diametrically different.

I love studying languages. For me it's fascinating. I picked up more french in one semester in college than my wife did in 3 years of high school and a year of college. Just have an ear for it, I guess.
