The main issue I gather is with people fearing the loss of identity.

A US of Europe would not necessarily be a bad thing. A US of Europe united behind a socialist agenda is a SCARY thing. I'm curious to know how it will play out when France votes no, since they were one of the biggest proponents.

Aw crud. I thought you meant the StarWars EU.
When I first saw the title, I thought the same thing. Almost immediately after, though, I realized the phrase was wrong, To the folks in the EU??

I opened it really to see what was meant.

On topic:
I don't know enough about the EU constitution or about what France's reasons for opposing it might be, so I really cannot say much.
I did, however, see an article recently that talked about how its bad for Chirac if the frenchies vote down the constitution.

Should have said European Union...

But mostly, I prefer horor games, because if somethign scares the crap out of me I can get revenge by blowing it's head off with a shot gun.

Haven't seen The Ring yet. Probably should. Did you see The Grudge?

Hopefully they'll do what "The Office" on bbc did and end after season two despite the money. you can only drag things on for so long before people don't care to be lead around anymore.

theory: the guys from the perfect storm. they washed up on the island and are know the grizzled (and disgruntled) boatmen/others.

They need to start resolving some issues. It's becoming like the X-Files and Twin Peaks in that they constantly just ask more questions...never provide answers, and it's pissing people off. I know two people personally who've said they will not watch it anymore because of this.

I'm a big fan of Babylon 5, which had a 5 year story arc, but would always resolve stuff brought up during the season by season's end or the next 1 or 2 episodes in the next one. As J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of it was always saying, leaving unanswered questions for too long cheats the audience who are investing time in the series.

I don't care for the REALLY gross stuff. However, I do like the first 4 Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Fright Night (great as a comedy, too!), the ORIGINAL Ammityville (why do we have such a problem with remakes around here, anyway?? ), The original Shining (The remake blew), the Exorcist (which I won't have in my house), Halloween, Army of Darkness, and Scream.

i figured out how it was keeping explorer busy, some how everytime i opened the folder it was in i guess it kept the folder from completely loading it, and so explorer is kept busy trying to load the file into the folder where i can open it. i ended up deleting it by deleting the folder it was in and bypassing this little loop hole it had. thanks for your help this whole thing has been very educational.

I was going to suggest this to you previously, believe it or not. I've seen the same problem in 2000 and XP with certain mozilla file types. All I'd need to do was click on them and it would hose my interface. Glad it worked out.

When you buy a movie ticket, they print the time and that is the only time you are given the right to watch the film for the money you paid.

Can I transfer the license puchased when I bought the dvd to someone else? Most computer software is non-transferrable. For example, person A buys a copy of....Halo for PC and install it on their machine. They then decide they don't like it and uninstall it. Technically speaking, they cannot give the software to their friend. However, if they do, and keeping in mind that they did uninstall it prior to giving it away, should they be prosecuted? I'm not sure how it works with movie licensing. You can go crazy deciding what's legal and illega, right and wrongl. I for one believe that making a movie available online to millions of people does result in lost revenue for the studios. Do I believe giving a movie to a friend after I've watched it is illegal? Probably...immoral? Not even close...

"Ahh... what happened? Where am I? Last thing I remember, I was in a hospital room, and..."

"Welcome to the future, Mr. Guiness. This is the year 2079. We brought you back from the dead using a crazy new technology called 'magic'."

"What? I'm back from the dead? Why, I must search for my relatives! Start my life again!"

"Uh... well, actually, we brought you back so you can do some extra scenes for Star Wars."

"What? That horrible movie I made back in the 1970s? Why?!"

"Well, we made some changes on the fifteen Star Wars trilogies, and nw we need to reshoot some dialogue. First, when you see R2D2, instead of saying 'I don't remember ever owning a droid', you'll say 'Mom! You still have your brain inside that R2 unit!', and you'll cry."

"What?!"

"Oh, and instead of fighting Vader on the Death Star and being killed, you'll fight Grievious 2, Vader Jr., Vader Sr., Luke's clone from the future, yourself from the future, a cyborg Yoda, and you'll survive, so you can be on 'Empire Strikes Back'. We changed some scenes on that film so you become a punk-rocker surfer who lives in Alderaan. Also, Alderaan didn't explode."

"Is this supposed to be a joke? I refuse to do it!"

"... I see... Well, OK then, we have perfect CGI so we can replace you. It was a stupid idea anyway. Goodbye." *shoots Alec Guiness*

If you can't kill the rogue process, try shelling out to a CMD prompt and deleting the file there. Type in delete /? to get the switches available. If there's one available for unconditional, use that.

If that doesn't work, boot the machine in safe mode command prompt and try that. If THAT doesn't work, boot from a DOS disk and delete it from there. If that doesn't work perform an exorcism.

ok tried killing rogue processes, tried safe mode start up, explorer is the culprit cause it using 51 % constantly, and it starts using 100 000 k on FD memory. its not a process its a file.

i as going to try to boot disk strat but ill get a friend of mine to do that, i dont want to delete someting important by accident.

how can you delete using CMD.

Click *Start* then click *Run*-type in *cmd* then hit enter. This will open a command prompt window. You will then need to know which directory (folder) the file resides in. If you have that info, type in cd\ then hit enter, then type in cd\nnnnnnnn where n = folder/directory name. Then type in dir /p to verify the file exists at that location (look for it in the list). If so, type del yyyyyy where y = filename, and if the command prompt lets you, append /u at the end of the command to force it to delete. As always use caution when deleting anything.

I'm a little surprised Explorer.exe is eating up that much in system resources. It is a file, but it's the file that controls the user interface. If you were to end the process, it would probably reset your desktop, but it will most likely happen again if you try to delete the file again. Do you have anti-virus software? I would run a scan with the latest definition files on your entire drive, and also run a spyware sweep using a tool like Ad-aware. Spyware seems like a likely culprit, as a matter of fact. Also, do you have a firewall in place? Are you running Service Pack 2? You can find out if you right click on my computer and select properties. Should tell you which service pack is in place.

It all depends on the way his will is structured, I would think. Assimov's "estate" authorized new versions of Foundation, and I think Mario Puzo's did the same thing with the new Godfather book. I've heard authors say that they've left explicit instructions with their employees to destroy any "unfinished" works after their death, and if he's in his right mind, he could transfer the rights to someone close who would honor his wishes prior to kicking the bucket. Since LFL is NOT a corporation, the rights would never transfer to a board or to stock holders.
