And other episodes I might not remember now

My favorite characters were the ones voiced by the late Phil Hartman, Lionel Hutz and Troy McLure.

I don't remember the exact quotes, but they are something like...

"Hi I am Troy McLure. You might remember me from educational films such as 'Smoke youself thin' or 'Get condifent, stupid!' "

"Why are you burning documents Mr. Hutz?"
"The man known as Lionel Hutz is no more, children. Say hello to Miguel Sanchez!"

"Mr. Hutz are you aware that you are not wearing any pants?!"
"Gah!"

"Well, I didn't win the case. Here's your free pizza."
"But we won!"
"That's ok, the box is empty."

"Spielberg did wonders for that Schindler fellow. We both have a lot in common. Both factory owners. We both made shells for the Nazis...only mine worked DAMMIT!!"

"But, Senor Spielberg es bueno...Senor Burns es Diablo!"

From when Flanders goes crazy:

"I am currently engaging in sexual intercourse with your spouse and or significant other....Now THAT's psychiatry!"

Can't think of any off the top of my head... oh wait, here's one or two.

HOMER: "Flanders! You're the devil?!"
FLANDERS: "It's always the one you least suspect, eh?"

MR. BURNS: "Who is that goat legged fellow, Smithers? I like the cut of his gib."
SMITHERS: "Uh, Prince of Darkness, sir. He's you're 11:30."

Or something like that, it's been a while since I saw that episode.

DEVIL FLANDERS: "Oh you Americans and your due process and fair trial! This is always so much easier in Mexico!"

SMITHERS: "And when he tried to take our sun, he crossed that line between everyday villainy and cartoonish super villainy!"

My love for the Simpsons died a horrible death a long time ago. The thought of the impending 2008 Simpsons theatrical film haunts my nightmares along with the inevitable 2006 release of Superman Returns.

Yeah, the show is dying a slow and painful death to be sure. I think it died around season 12, or so. Typical Hollywood cash-cow milk job.

Warriors! Come out to play-ayy!

I haven't seen that movie in 20 years, I think. Cool flick, although with some of the outfits they were wearing it's almost like it was written by a NY Times staff writer...probably the same guy who spent the 90's coming up with reasons why teens were wearing flannel in the summer. GOD.

I hate...when people refer to police officers as "facists" or "thugs". My dad was a cop for 5 years. He and his fellow officers did many things to help people. I've heard stories about this one person who was homeless. The police would find a reason to "arrest" him during the cold winter nights and put him in a cell and give him a meal so he wouldn't freeze to death. There were also times when they would intervene to stop serious domestic problem. My dad put his life on the line many times, and it just makes me sick to think that the good cops are so often lumped in with the "bad" cops.

Hmmmmm.....never heard of Doc Savage, but I think Flash first started in the serial movies back in the late 30's. Not sure of his comic history, but if it came after that I would say probably not.

Most Underrated Console System

For me, the N64 is one of the most underrated consoles. Everyone hated it because it used cartridges and there weren't many games for it - and yes, some of them were really crap (Superman, anyone?). I remember when I bought mine in 98, I was in a shop and the guy working there was trying to convince me to buy the Playstation because it had more games. I looked over and just saw a crapload of Final Fantasy and Fighter-type games, looked back and said, "But they're all shit."

Anyway, the graphics were better than Playstation IMO, and the games were better too.

As always, Nintendo has been about quality over quantity since day 1, and their library shows this.

I'm totally getting one of these. I might even pick up the wireless controllers to go with it.

Wow, Jay...thanks for the link. Awesome find!

Awww, Bossk, I am soooo disappointed.

P.S I hate it when the guy who sits opposite me at work gets up and leaves for the day without even looking at me or saying goodbye, which he just did as I was writing this.

I believe anxiety and depression can cause a lot of wierd symptoms, which my doc is starting to persue right now. I also have a known thyroid problem. Believe it or not, thyroid issues can cause a host of problems, including memory problems, tremors, visual disturbances, and even Parkinson's type symptoms.

Well, by subscriptions I mean a "pull list". My local shop has a list of the titles I want. They order them for me and put them into a folder that they have ready for me when I stop in every couple of weeks. That way I don't have to look around for my stuff, and it cuts my spending a little by keeping me from wandering around. They also have a program for subscribers where for every $100 you spend they give you a coupon for $10 off of a purchase, which isn't much but it came in handy for me last week.

If your shop is that lame, you should check out

Mile High Comics

Which is an internet store with a brick & mortar around 50,000 sq ft.

Ours is not a brand name TiVo, but it seems to not record episodes that are duplicates of something it recorded say in a two week period (even if you've deleted it). After that it will record the same episode again.
