As stated in my first post, several other people tried doing what she did. I even gave you the name of another guy who attempted the same thing.
Homer Plessy. And also, even though she did commit a brave act, her personality still seemed pretty snobby. Like I said in my first post, she's only famous because she stood up for her constitutional rights, but then she sued Outkast just because they used her name as the title for one of her songs. First amendment, anyone? She should have sued Outkast because their music is awful, not because she thinks she's too good to have one of their songs named after her.

I'm not saying her action wasn't brave. I even admitted that it was in my first post. I just don't think one single brave action should all of a sudden make someone "A+ PURE GRADE PRIME HUMAN BEING BETTER THAN THE LITTLE COMMON PEOPLE!!!" Also, other things helped provoke the civil rights movement. Like the four students who entered that North Carolina variety store and sat down at the "white counter." By 1963, 14,000 people had been arrested, all of them for being part of 758 resistance demonstrations in 11 different states. Like I said before, "And though I agree Rosa Parks may have been a butterfly that caused a hurricane, I still don't think she herself should be considered the hurricane. Keep in mind several other butterflies were flapping their wings as well."

I do believe that she is hero to all people. I did not intend this thread to a place where people criticize Rosa Parks.
I'm not so much criticizing Rosa Parks, as I am criticizing people's exaggerated opinion of her. People act as if she was one of the holy saviors of all black people, but thousands of people who were just as brave as her get overlooked and ignored by history. Again, I don't think you actually knew what I was saying in my first post.

I created so people could have place to pay tribute to her.
By "pay tribute," you mean a few replies, all of which containing sentences similar to "That's sad. RIP
." I'm sure she's up in heaven smiling down upon your monumental effort of making sure she gets the respect she deserves from a few people on an online Star Wars message board.
Originally posted by: WarblerNow Jaster, of course you are entitled to your negative opinion of Rosa Parks. I just wish you would have created another thread and done it there.
I wasn't aware that negative and different were synonymous. Also, why would I create another thread solely to voice my opinion about Rosa Parks, when there is already a
Rosa Parks thread? If everyone had to make a new topic every time they wanted to say something different than what other people are saying, it would nullify the purpose of MESSAGE BOARDS, which is to discuss and debate various subjects.
