ROTS: Palpatine's Master

I (and most people it seems) took this as an indication that it was Palps that killed his master after he had learned all he could.

Of course, with no indication from Lucas, it *could* only have meant that Palps just really admired Plagueous' apprentice for what he did. It is just a matter of interpretaion though.

I never thought of it that way... That could clear up a few debates. If Palpatine didn't know how to create life, then that makes the argument of Palpatine creating Anakin completely bunk.

I've wondered if Lucas knew they were brother/sister all along. And if so, WHY would he have them kiss? That's a little curious, don't you think?

Well, Yoda says the line "No... there is another", so that means he must have at least had the idea. Maybe he had them kiss so people would be more surprised when they found out or something?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. </sarcasm>

I don't care if he liked or disliked the movie, I was just looking forward to actually reading his reasons for disliking the movie, and not why he doesn't like GL. I've heard the same rant about 100 times. I was thinking maybe he would bring up some new points about Episode 3 and talk about something we hadn't talked about, but instead it's not even about Episode 3.

Episode 3: Fan Editing Ideas Discussion

The prequels caused continuity errors with one line of Obi-Wan's in ESB. It got bitched about more than just about anything beside maybe Jar Jar.
Digging through Sir Alecs filmography, I found a way to ADR a slight change to the line.
It was so quick, subtle and well executed that every person who has been shown it, on first viewing, asks me what was changed. Even his lips synch up.
It's not until a little more thought is put in that they go "Wait... Oh!"

Was it the line about Yoda being his instructor, but then in Episode 1 it's Qui-Gon?

Stages Of Accepting the Prequel Trilogy
Time
The first time I saw Episode 1, I liked it. Of course, I was 8 at the time... But yeah, I actually thought it was good. So it was more like the reverse order of what you said.

Episode 2 I thought was dumb the first time I saw it, and I still haven't changed my mind about it... For me, Stage five never happened for Episode 2.

Episode 3 I've seen 3 times now, and I have really liked it each time. The bad things weren't as bad this time around, and they were mostly over shadowed by all the cool things going on.

Indeed. Though, I dislike Jabba being in ANH more than Boba Fett... If he found some other way to work him in, I probably wouldn't of cared.

But then again, I'm a Boba Fett fanboy. The thing that pissed me off about Episode 2 was that he changed his background story and made him into a moronic little kid with really annoying lines.

I don't see what changing Grievous to Maul would've done... I mean, if Maul hadn't been in TPM, then it would've been cool to see him as a new character in RotS... but it would've been dumb to bring him back to life or something after TPM. It would've been even cornier than Grievous, and fans would just complain about Lucas putting Maul in because he's so popular, like what he did with Boba Fett in AotC.

Better yet, let's get Tartakovsky to animate new versions of the prequels in the same style as Clone Wars. Whaddya think?

Whoa, that would be so cool! The battles would be twice as good.

So what if the acting is a little lame or weak, NEWS FLASH....the acting has been weak in all the movies. Lucas uses little known actors save one or two. These actors have little experiance taking on leading roles. What makes these movies great is that despite the acting, the action makes up for it. In my opinion, it wouldn't be Star Wars with out the bad dialogue, or acting.

Ewan McGregor had the lead roll in Trainspotting, and that movie was amazing. His acting was fantastic. And Samuel L. Jackson is one of my favorite actors, yet for some reason, he doesn't do a great job in the PT...

Um... Sorry for the double post. I clicked edit, but it posted a new message for some reason.

RotS is Anti-Bush?
Time
I've been reading some news paper articles and watching some shows on TV that are saying RotS is very anti-Bush.

I don't care if it is, since I'm not Republican or Democrat, but I just didn't notice it... Could somebody point out how RotS is anti-Bush? I didn't notice anything that related to that or referenced that... So, I dunno. Maybe it's just the media turning it into something it's not?
