Allow me to quote, and slightly amend, a response I had earlier last year.
Abortion is a serious thing, many political, and social lines, have been drawn over this issue. Here is what the subject means to me, my wife was an adopted baby. If she had been aborted, I would have been robbed of my soul mate, the best person I've ever had in my life, or ever will have, and the mother of my child, whom I'm sure will achieve great things. I thank God everyday her birth mother carried through with the birth and gave me my wife and ultimately my child and eventually my grandchildren. How do we know that the last abortion performed wasn't going to be the next Ronald Reagan or George Washington, or maybe the next Shakespeare, Albert Einstien, or Hank Williams Sr. These doctors, and the women who participate, are creating huge holes in our society that we never know about. What I don't understand is that these crazy liberals are all for killing innocent babies just because they made the mistake of being involuntarily conceived in the wrong womb, but they absolutely abhor the death penalty when it is set in place for convicted killers and rapists, that is a sad state of mind if you ask me.
Simply put, I do not support abortion because a woman's right to choose ends when she gets pregnant. She should have chosen not to get pregnant. I do support the babies right to choose.
I understand your side of the discussion, but lets get real here. I don't mean disrespect, but if your wife was aborted you'd probably find someone else just like her and think the same thing about her. Maybe not. I'm all for getting people to crack down on unwanted pregnancies, but you're never gonna get rid of it totally. There's probably a lot of missed opportunities for the next Albert Einsteins, Shakespeares, everyday due to a lot of things, not just abortions. Car accidents, cancer, natural and man-made disasters, cause the deaths of a lot of great people.
