Hi all,

Well I have just rendered and burned and watched 'Building Empire'.

There are about 5 little problems that need tidying up at the moment and unfortunately I am away until next tuesday. I promise to get this out before Christmas.

I must say I am happy with the nearly-final product.

Ell, I haven't forgotten about the screenshots you needed.

My distrubution list is quite long already. I think I need some help with a few PiF when it's done.

I know a 6 year old who is fanatical. Everything to do with the prequels he loves. Not only because the first two were available on DVD (his chosen format) before the OT.

And of course his parents are the ones spending the pounds/dollars!

BUMP!

I am soooo close to finishing this project I just need some commentary for the Wampa sequences. To my knowledge the Wonder Column CD is the only place to find a cast/crew member talking about this deleted scene.

Granted, the CD could be rubbish - Daniels does tend to rant on a bit occassionally. But I at least want to have a listen.

So if anyone has this CD for sale or spots it for sale anywhere, I would be grateful if you could contact me.

This is certainly an interesting project and I would love to see what you come up with.

Some consctructive critiscism:

- "You fought in the Clone Wars" is a jump-cut.
- "How did my father die" - Perhaps you need to work on this. Maybe a c/u of Kenobi to mask the lack of lip sync.
- May I also suggest that if you use the 'echoed voice' on the flash backs that you go the whole hog and colourize the flashbacks. Perhaps washed out or with a blurred edge - something to seperate them from the ANH pictures.

I am looking for them in a form that I can display on my computer. I.e "txt" or "doc or "pdf"

Daveytod,

I'm enthusiastic about your project. Anyone ready to tackle such a huge project is ok by me.

I wonder if the slight lack of attention is because it relates to a non OT film. I know my enthusiasm for the PT is nowhere near as big.

That said, I am really looking forward to getting a copy of this somewhere down the line.

Alternative intro? Do you mean the Logos? If so then to be honest I am not that interesting as I am only concentrating of some of the major and interesting changes between the films releases.

You are quite right ocpmovie, I haven't used any of the ESB Radio Drama. Like you say, it doesn't include any deleted lines.

There are however some sequences that 'point' to the 4th Draft of ESB but are certainly not useable in this project. An example would be the lines where Luke talks to himself whilst hanging in the Wampa cave. The 4th Draft has lines for Luke "Relax, Relax". The audio drama uses simmilar dialogue, but purely out of necessity rather than to integrate scenes missing from the Motion Picture.

Okay I've just received the ESB Super 8mm part 1 reel and my Super 8mm projector throught the post.

After taking a look at the reel I can conclusively say that there are some differences in this cut of the film. Obviously it is in a condensed form, but there are definately some different visual and audio takes used. I count at least four so far.

So, now I need to get hold of part 2 (I've been outbid on two already - grr!). And I need to find a relatively cheap way of getting them telecined.

The search continues.

Thanks oojason, we are loving being parents. Wow - doesn't it consume your time though!

So, is anyone out there willing to make a DVD cover for my project. I do have some photoshop skills but seeing that I am struggling to find the time to get the project finished, I wondered if you nice chaps could help me out (again!).

As Building Emprie was inspired by Deleted Magic I guess it should look similar in design - they are cousins of sorts.
