I was actually going to spend a little while on thursday creating a ROTJ trailer and make it an easter egg on my 'Returning to Jedi' project. Now I am going to do it for your competition!

I am really looking forward to seeing what we all come up with.

That's a great track. Certainly one of my favourite off that 4th disc in the Anthology set. However, from what I remember (off the top of my head), it is a previously unreleased track, rather than and unsed track.

Yeah, do checkout 'Building Empire', I had fun trying to sync those unused tracks. At best I think they give a great impression of the impact that music (or the lack of it) can have on a scene.

Update: I have all the footage I am going to get I think. I am now working through the timeline tidying up and adding the text facts etc. I am also looking at the weaker areas and seeing what I can do. Everytime I watch it I spot something else that can be done. Eventually I will send out copies to my QA team and ready for the final clean up and burn. So I would think the end of the year is still a good target to aim for.

The DVD should contain:

- Montage Main Menu Screen (100%) and Still Sub-menus (0%)
- The full length doco 'Returning to Jedi', including: Cast & Crew Commentary, Behind the Scenes footage (some very rare), Deleted Scene Reconstruction, Outtakes, Text Facts, Alternate Audio, etc (85%)
- 'Coming October 2006' trailer (100%)
- 'Ugly as Sin' Teaser (the inspiration came from Classic Creatures. I just wanted to do something different) (100%)
- Rare footage sequence (Remainder of what was not used in the main doco. If there is room) (40%)
- Reconstructed opening crawl (I bet you can guess which one!) (100%)
- Animatics Comparison (90%)
- Easter Egg (not telling!)
- Cover and Disc Design

This is only a provisional list but it gives you some idea of the work I have done and the work I have to do.

So, I am now about 85% done with the doco itself. Then comes the LONG slog of rendering, transcoding, menu construction and burning.

If Sky is still out there, I would be happy for you to be involved in making the stills for the menu. Alternatively if there is anyone out there that come up with suitable designs, I would be happy to see them. It would be great to tie the menu design in with the case design again.

All I can say is that it's not shot from a Lucasfilm camera. It's from another angle entirely. And listen, don't get your hopes up, it is pretty minor (read short), but I am pleased nonetheless.

My my my. I have just received some INCREDIBLY rare footage which reveals part of a scene that's missing from the final cut of ROTJ. We've seen a couple of photos relating to this missing moment, but now we have footage!!!

Pretty damn cool.

That's a good and welcome question (as are most), so please feel free to ask.

I estimate that it should be ready by Christmas 2006, if not, early in 2007. However, I should add that my workload is very busy in the next month or so. Also my laptop has been in repair for nearly two months now. So, I can only really get any work done when i am at home.
