That's a shot used in the Holiday Special and as far as I know, was shot during principal photography for Star Wars - the set seems to suggest so, though I guess it could have been constructed for the HS. Somebody else here might be able to tell us more. But hey, there is only one person who really knows!

Just to point out, I am happy to answer any questions you have but I am not the fountain of knowledge that I may have appeared to be. I simply research lots when doing these projects and I forget most of the info afterwards.

Best regards

Jambe, what do you think your most prized find in all of the three SW docs you are doing?

and what was the closest you got to to the ROTJ deleted scene where Luke makes a new lightsaber?

PS: You know of that photo, where you just see two legs and in between you see a person with a gun, is that an actual filmed scene or just concept art? And if it was a filmed scene, what did it contain?

Thanks, really appreciate it!!!

1. The Jabba scene, closely followed by the expanding L/S.
2. I didn't get that close to finding the lightsaber scene - I think it's in the vaults at LFL . I did manage to confirm some of the info that was out there about it though.
3. What photo?

Thanks Adywan!!!!

Just got a VERY interesting email:

"Dear Jambe,

I have only had time to take a short look at your work, but my initial impression is that your project is something I would be prepared to contribute to. When I am able to watch more, I will confirm one way or another. In the meantime, what would you be interested in hearing from me, and how would you conduct the interview?

Nice work reconstructing the original Jabba scene from the various fragments.

Regards,

David West Reynolds"

As you all probably know, this guy has seen some of the "lost cut". He also appeared in one of the great BBC docos from around the SE era.

If you have any questions to ask him, please let me know soon.

Cheers

It's a very pie in the sky idea I know. And I think I just got carried away. I could really only afford the Jedi one. And as that's the only scope one of the two, it's probably the best one to go for.

I do know people in the film industry and one owner of a professional telecine machine, though they wouldn't do it for free.

So, there are no VERY wealthy members of the board then?
