Elstree Studios Heritage BBC Doco - Help Needed! Pic inc
Time
Thanks S. I already have a copy of the ATV doco on the way. They already have a copy but this may be better quality.

I'm across all of the websites and simply forgot to list those docos on my list. I've done some grabs already and they are happy with what they've seen. I guess LFL and Mr Davis will need to be on the list of contacts.

Making of TTOD was new to me though. I have it on DVD somewhere. Will have to check it out.

Anyone in the States got the new SE's of 2001 and The Shining? Are the extras good?

Elstree Studios Heritage BBC Doco - Help Needed! Pic inc

Hi all,

It looks like I am involved in a BBC documentary about the Heritage of Elstree Studios and I need your help guys.

http://www.zen67493.zen.co.uk/bectu_elstree.jpg

There are many photos and footage snippets in the docos we all know and love, but I need your help to catalogue them (and uncover new bits!)

If you have any material showing the studios I would be grateful if you could post here. I am particularly interested in any footage showing the exterior but any interior shots would also be of interest. Also any photos and/or articles would also be appreciated. I'll start the list:

Empire of Dreams - Numerous internal and external shots (inc helicopter shots)
Making of Star Wars - Interior shots of sets.
[Lost} Makinf of The Empire Strikes Back (DarthNeo)
Star Wars to Jedi - Interior shots of sets.
The Risk Business - Interior shots of ESB sets
Jim'll Fix It - ESB Dagobah Set
Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark (VHS) - External and internal (anyone got a decent rip of this???)
Making of The Temple of Doom (Thanks S7ven)
Making of Indy docos on Official DVD - Many internal and some external shots of Elstree including water tank and H.Ford practicing with bull-whip.
Return of the Ewok (anyone got Warwick's contact details??)
Making of the Shining - Many internal and external shots
Making of Dark Crystal & Labyrinth (suggested by SilverWook - thanks!)
2001 Making of the Myth (James Cameron) - (suggested by Jonno - thanks!)
The Making of the Myth (Star Wars)
ATV The Elstree Story
UFO Episode A Question of Priorities
Movietone.com
Pathe News

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

//RETURNING TO JEDI\\: NTSC & PAL DVD
Time
Is anyone out there able to get NTSC copies of my docos to an address in the USA quickly.

I've actually made updated PAL versions of each but the Miami Underground Film Festival can't play PAL discs. So I need either NTSC copies of my original releases or a VERY quick conversion of the PAL discs that are already out with the MUFF dude.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
Adywan,

I partly understand how you feel. The anticipation for my projects led me to release them before I felt they were finished. With both BE and RTJ had I waited and worked on them for another couple of weeks then I wouldn't have had to suffer those annoying little mistakes and niggling comments that I had to endure. And after the exhaustion of the months of hard work those little things really bite. Please take note guys. Think before you post! And remember Ady is doing this for the community, off his own back.

Above all you should look after yourself and not worry about the pressure. It is simply not worth it.

"Blade Runner - Replicated" - Ongoing split-screen project. (* unfinished project *)
Time
Doh! Just realised I made a mistake before rendering it. This is the sort of thing that happens when you have very little time to get things done. Oh well, it will be a Jan 2008 release now rather than Christmas 2007.

Everything is ready to go; menus etc. I just need to render the mpeg2 video for like twenty hours. I would normally encode DV then transcode to mpeg2 but I have run out of disc space.

Merry Christmas one and all.
