I am in the middle of editing an interview (or taking out the worst bits) for The People Vs George Lucas. It will be submitted very late but there is still a chance that I will make the final international edit.
Anyway, just a quick on to say that my interest has increased again. Maybe I will get round to finishing SWB.
Well, I've just shot the interview. Despite being a person that's not entirely comfortable seeing himself on screen, it turned out ok, thanks to some good friends.
Now I have to edit all the good bits together and get it out to the USA. I doubt I will make the final but, but you've got to be in it to win it.

Just a quick one to say that the people at 'The People Vs George Lucas' have granted me a bit more time to submit my interview. Although I won't make the SxSW cut of the film, the final international release cut is yet to be finished.

An Update
It's been a long while folks. Unfortunately I separated from my wife last year and things have been a bit tough. But, I've got a new place for me and my kids (I have them three to four days a week) and soon I hope to have my G5 Mac set up and ready to start editing Star Wars Begins again. I will report back with some more news soon. Oh by the way, I might be getting a preview copy of R.W Rinzler's Making of Empire Strikes Back to review. Anybody want me to review it for their site?
And by the way, the interview didn't work out for The People Vs George Lucas. I just couldn't get it done in time. Shame.

Sorry for the 'radio silence'! Got lots of sh*t going on at the moment. Life changing stuff. Needless to say, the hobby has taken a bit of a back seat of late.
SWB, in it's current form, is still sitting on my G5's HDs. If I get the time and motivation I will be in touch.

I actually worked on the project today. Filling in some gaps with facts. I may even have found some motivation to complete this thing!

He doesn't know where to get a copy. And from what I remember, he was asking way too much. Can't remember the figure exactly.
Our only hope is that someone out there also has a copy from the Kurtz archive and just goes against his/her word and releases the thing.
I gave up a while ago.
Well I know that Parbot doesn't even have a copy and is not willing to be interviewed unless he is paid. Shame. It would be good to hear of his experiences making this doco.

I seem to remember that talesofthenewrepublic was JUST a trailer and a college project. It got huge attention at the time but was never intended to be a full animated show.

Hi folks,
Just a quick post to say I have been contacted on youtube by some who has watched my ‘Building Empire’ and ‘Returning to Jedi’ films. They are claiming that the Kenner 8mm Hand Cranked films have some different takes and alternate footage on them. This could be the old childhood false memory syndrome, but I just thought I would enquire as to whether anyone has investigated this seemingly untapped area before.
