Jaitea I love your chasm, I feal the same as brash they only stand out cos we know there not originaly there. Also love the hologram of the report to Tarkin, imo that looks correct if you know what I mean, it fits so well and dosnt look out of place at'all, and your editing  of the scene. Sorry if I'm being ignorant but what was the source as looks great.

Why thank you.

Jaitea, as much as I like the concept of those, they're so visually busy once in motion that my eyes are strongly drawn to them, rather than to the focus of the scenes.

Try to resist......

........when I first posted that clip on the ANH:R:SE thread nobody noticed the monitor bit, they were focussed on the DS chasm reactor. Ah well....

This is just a quick mock-up

Sorry, but what wasn't the whole point supposed to be for the background to be less CG in that shot? Because your mock-up leaves all the obviously CG buildings in and replaces the obviously original ground. I know the SE ground looks kind of too sharp and stuff when compared to the GOUT but I think that's only because it's an HD transfer (but I did blur it a bit for my version) and when you compare them closely, you can see that the SE ground is exactly the same as in the GOUT but the GOUT is just blurred due to the shitty transfer. You can see it in the picture bellow. 1st is the GOUT, 2nd is the SE and 3rd is mine. The only thing I think it needs is a bit more red tint, which I'm gonna add when I do the colour correction.

Yes Harmy, I only used the SE shot to replace the foreground because that's where you acquired the sharpened material from. I do prefer the 77 style, the SE is far too detailed in every aspect.

When you see the comparisons you posted above, your new plate does look a lot more realistic Harmy, good work

Watched the clip Harmy and it's excellent work as always. However you are using the original shot of the sandcrawler right? At the very end of the clip, your version has the Special Edition version of it.

That shot of the newly inserted sandcrawler doesn't annoy me (or the Falcon rising outta DB94) but I agree with the cutting of the verrry false stormie on the dewback and the obvious CG Shuttle Transport ship.

You beat me to it Harmy with your responce, I just feel that the purely fantastic work you have done is tainted by that 1 cg enhanced shot.

I'll see what I can mock-up.....what you are doing is fantastic....honestly.....that is what drew me to this site.....the "ORIGINAL" trilogy.

Sorry (we are very apologetic here, ha ha!) I honestly didn't expect you to be defensive mate.

This is what I mean...

That sparkly yellow highly detailed ground added to the 97 & 2004 versions of the film which doesn't blend in with any of the previous or later Tunisia location shots just stands out as 'OBVIOUS CG' work......I'll do a mock-up.

Nice work Harmy............the only thing.........the new approach shot of Mos Eisley........Re-using that highly gravelly SE material would... if inserted to the fantastically DE-SE'd work you have done.....(I can't praise you enough, mate....this is fantastic....would love to have your version in my collection)....would stand out as.....well......SE!!......a softer, less detailed, more sand-like plate could be used....perhaps keep in the new CG landspeeder...it's not the thing which brings you outta the movie...it's the texture of the landscape

Sorry Ady I couldn't resist using your new Footage over my old mock-up:

The Emperor says "luke"......still needs adjusting, but its not too bad as a concept.

Worf is the only one who gets Admiral Dougherty  name pronounced correctly in the whole move ITS DaH'herty NOT FECKING DOWerty! (sorry minirant™ over)

I would pronounce it Doc-her-ty.

It seems to be Luke & Leia that have a problem with pronunciation (there is also Tarkin & Dodonna who pronounce Leia as Lee-ah)
