DAMN! You're gettin' good with that rotoscoping, TM!

And Dooku is really nasty in that clip! Looks like an actual duel is taking place!

GREAT JOB, as always!

As far as music goes, I have tons of stuff I'm wanting you to hear, in fact, over the weekend I picked up a very hard-to-find 4-disc collection of the soundtrack to the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles by Joel McNeely (Shadows of the Empire). Packed with great stuff.

Classic Edition: Return of the Jedi by Ocpmovie (Released)

Hey OCP,

I was at a convention over the weekend in Orlando called "MegaCon". I was surprised to see EVERY bootleg DVD dealer (about 12 individuals) were all selling stacks of "Deleted Magic", asking between $15 and $20 each, none of which had the official cover. I was surprised to see it. Just thought you'd like to know how far your influence has stretched. LOL!

Actually, nothing was vetoed, MTH. It's more like you dropped the ball and left us without a clear blueprint for what you intended to happen after the arrival at Tatooine. So, we had to make our own, and we went with what felt right.

In regard to Maul arriving during daylight or during a storm... Why? It all happens a lot quicker now. They land, go to Watto's shop, meet Anakin, they have a quick incident with Sebulba, go to Anakin's house, and then Maul arrives. And when you see it put together, it's an excellent transition. From Qui-Gon's "Either way we're running out of time..." To Maul's ship blasting toward Tatooine.

And I'm not sure what you mean about Qui-Gon announcing that he wants to free Anakin. If you're referring to the deal with Watto before the race, that HAS to happen, otherwise you wouldn't know what's going on/how he was freed/etc.

Anyway, it is what it is. It's a little late to be chiming in now. But, feel free to "heckle" at will.

PepsiOtaku,

I don't speak for Coov, but I know he does design work for a living, so I'm sure he'll take your suggestions for what they're worth.

Being "opinionated" is one thing, being a complete ass is another. Normally, I'm not the kind of person to get into scuffles on the internet, but I was offended by your post and your attitude, especially for a new person. This community isn't like TF.N where people get on and flame other people for the sake of stroking their own ego. That's why I like this board. Most of us are a more civilized and friendly crowd, so your post just struck me as being appallingly arrogant, downright nasty and out-of-place. We're just not used to that around here.

Thank you for your apology to Coov. Accordingly, I will aplogize to you for anything hurtful I said about your work. My criticisms of it still stand, but I'm sorry for saying it in a mean way. I appreciate that you took the time to create it and post it, and it looks quite nice for using a long-worn out design (But, to be honest, that's a matter of personal preference, which has nothing to do with the execution. I was admittedly just using it as ammunition.) In short, I like your box, ok? I think the suggestion of cardboard covers opens up a whole world of possibilities for this medium of fan-created DVD covers.

So, are we cool? You've apologized, I've apologized. Everyone hopefully knows their place now and we can get back to the regularly scheduled programming on this thread...

To Ell: It's okay for people to share unfavorable opinions about other people's work. It's okay to criticize. But please don't encourage comments like this on this forum...

Coov's work is not the end all be all of star wars dvd covers. Every other post in this thread is "oh my god coov fapfapfap." Just fucking stop it. I've been re-editing the same star wars boxset for the past year now, with tons of revisions. Coov just pumps out tons of boring covers that I really can't see anyone use. In half of them, the backside has absolutely nothing more than a logo. Coov, your stuff looks nice, don't get me wrong but if you realy cared about your work you'd finalize a few of those designs for actual use.

We're all artists here. We all care about our work. There's just no need for that kind of attitude.

I would just like to point out that I started my project a year ago and work on it during my free time. I created the box design in a few days over this past summer. Take a look at professionaly commerical box sets and you'll notice that they are simply cardboard with a design "pasted on." I wanted my boxset to have that look.

So? What do you want, a cookie? I wasn't referring to the construction of the box. I was referring to your choice of cover art. Same stuff we've seen a million times before. You're accusing someone else of making "boring" designs and I'm trying to spotlight for you how boring your own design is.

Regardless of how much time you did or didn't spend on making it look just perfect, it doesn't change the fact that you came on here and acted like a jerk for no reason whatsoever. What you did is not cool, Man. You don't have to attack another person's work to gain attention for your own. I'm sure Coov cares as much about his designs as you do about yours. His last post (without saying anything) suggests that he's read what you said, and doesn't really care, but I'm sure it's still hurtful.

I will be back at my home computer in about an hour and a half where I will "contribute" some more.

I hope you do. In fact, I hope you "contribute" an apology to Coov for trashing his designs, because it's certainly in order.

Andij, it looks like this is what that Bernt Dozer guy used to extend some sequences in his edit of ANH.

Personally, I think they'd be better used in an edit of ROTJ, because the lighting, Vader's costume, and the Death Star set design are all a better match.

I used to have this game when I was a kid... hahaha... I loved it.

I'd like to have a copy of this once someone transfers it, for possible use in our edit.

Well, first you attack one of the most respected and appreciated members of this forum, completely unprovoked. Then, you refuse to provide a box template when asked. What exactly did you come here for, PepsiOtaku? To contribute to the forum? Or to get your dick sucked over your design? Because truth be told, I find your design lackluster and unoriginal, we've seen it a thousand times over. Too bad it took you "a year" to figure it out. Its only redeeming value (which is a mild novelty, at best) is that it's plastered onto the side of a box, which opens up the possibility for other (better) artists to come along and create something worth using. But the real issue here is not your shoddy, re-hashed design, as we would've politely given some constructive criticism to a new forum member who was polite to everyone else...

But, the fact is, you don't have a right (in your THIRD POST) to trash Coov's work based solely on the fact that he gets a lot of praise. Especially when you haven't earned ANY respect for yourself. It might not be your cup of tea, but for me, Coov's streamlined designs, (free from being bogged down by plot synopsis', lists of bonus features, credits, etc, etc) are both unique and elegant. His work is bold and consistently good, in my opinion. He gets praise obviously because his work appeals to people. Personally, it's all I want on my shelf.

Not to mention the fact that Coov is a heck of a nice guy who is always contributing to this forum, and helping the people on it. What he doesn't do is show up waving something in your face saying "look what I did", while dumping all over other forum members.

I'm embarrassed for you.

Wow! Coov! How do you always manage to out-do yourself time and time again? I'm continually stunned by your work.

Once our (Starkiller Ranch) edit of Episode I is complete, maybe you'd be interested in doing some cover art for it. We'll eventually be doing the entire saga, and I'm looking for something completely different than the same old poster art. Something really creative. So, let me know if you'd be willing to do it...

No problem, Kaal! I happened upon it during a Google Yahoo search and thought you guys would like it. I have a huge appreciation for art in all its forms. Speaking of which, the art displayed on your website is EXCELLENT!

I LOVE Bonobo!

Wasn't that the point?

And I agree, Blackjack, I think we should hear parts of Luke and Leia's theme as soon as Padme first mentions she's pregnant. It should be a major part of any scenes involving the twins. Talk about missed opportunities...

And as far as the "red lightsaber" goes: Has anyone considered how a red lightsaber was going to look against a red, lava-filled Mustafar background?
