I tried to change it just a little bit. Still don’t know if I really like it.

After watching episode 5 of The Mandalorian, and the whole Tatooine stuff… I kinda liked how the desert looked way less saturated than the OT Tatooine.
In my Episode IV edit I probably oversaturated some shots… now I’d like to try the opposite.

I LOVED those Tatooine shots in the fifth episode, but I’m ok with my own edited version.

Vader’s death clip.

I’m just editing the Sarlacc sequence, but I wanted to try something here.
I don’t know if the color correction is definitive, but I’ve always wanted to use this track for Anakin’s death, especially because I will not use it in my Episode III edit.

About DSII… I don’t know how to do it, lol. I’ll try.
About the shuttle… at first I kept it. But in the scene with the Emperor we dont see the shuttle actually “landing” in the hangar. It’s already there. You know… if I keep those shots, it cuts directly from the shuttle still in space, approaching the DS, to the shuttle already inside.

I liked the twin suns… I think it added more weight to those flat shots. But yeah… the lights don’t match.

EDIT: I re-added the shuttle approaching. The shot of the officer saying “Inform the commander that…” fixes the problem. And I moved the twin suns in the shots where you can see the upper sky.

That’s interesting. I didn’t think about that. I’ll try to add the Dagobah scene just after Palpatine arrives to DSII.

You mean before the whole Tatooine scenes?
I kinda like how his character looks more menacing the FIRST time he appears in the movie (mirroring the entrance in the palace to Vader’s first appearance in ANH, the Force Choke, etc). I just have a doubt about placing the Dagobah scene first because it establishes that Luke is a Jedi (yes, yes, “not yet”, but he is clearly in the light side), while keeping the Tatooine stuff first makes the audience wonder about wether he still is a Jedi or he fell to the dark side…
But I’ll surely try, to look how it works. May I ask what you mean with “more consistent”?

59. Added music track from Revenge of the Sith during the speeder chase sequence.

61. Removed Leia meeting Wicket. I’m kinda sorry for removing two Leia scenes from the movie, but I’ve always found them slow and quite boring. Leia carrying Chewie into Jabba’s palace was useless and repetitive, while in this case her scene makes the pacing feel slower. Plus, by removing it we keep some mystery about what happened to her after the chase sequence.
62. Added Endor’s planetview outside Palpatine’s window during the second Throne Room scene.
63. Slightly recolored Endor night scenes, and enhanced torches.
64. Removed Leia “always” knowing that Luke was her brother. Now she just says “I know… somehow”, like Luke telling her the truth makes her feel like he’s right.
65. Removed Han being jealous. Now he just approaches Leia, asks her what’s wrong, and she replies “Hold me”. Way less childish attitude.
66. Removed Vader’s “I must obey my master”. In the first version of the edit, I removed other parts of Vader being conflicted. Now I reinstated all of them except for this, as we already know that Vader doesn’t care about obeying Palpatine (both from Revenge and Empire scenes).
67. Replaced bad matte painting of the shuttle leaving Endor (as Han/Leia/Chewie watch from distance) with another image from Battlefront II, with some added moving shadows in order to hint at some movement.
68. Recolored X-Wing’s engines, enhanced Falcon engine and recolored Falcon’s interior in order to match the look from Empire’s Revisited.
69. Shortened sequence of the Ewok on speeder escaping Stormtroopers.
70. Enhanced Palpatine’s eyes.
71. During the whole space battle: added atmosphere to un-replaceable Endor shots, replaced planet shots wherever possible, recolored X-Wing’s engines and enhanced Falcon’s, enhanced laser bolts, recolored Home One’s interior.
72. Replaced some music tracks with ones from Rogue One.
73. Restructured ground battle to remove as many Ewoks as possible. Now they have a good surprise effect, which makes the Rebels react, but following that the Ewoks are always and only hunted and killed. No teddy bears throwing stones, no giant wood poles crushing ATSTs.
74. Removed Chewie’s Tarzan yell and shortened assault on ATST.
75. Added music track from Revenge of the Sith during the LukeVSVader duel.
76. Shortened shot of Vader falling from the stairs.
77. The edit will have two tracks. In the first one the music track “A Jedi’s Fury” is replaced with another from Revenge of the Sith (as I was never really amazed with the original track). But the second one will keep the original, as I’m sure the vast majority of people will prefer it over the edited one.
78. Added shaky camera as Palpatine uses Force Lightning and also as the Executor hits the Death Star.
79. Recolored Death Star interior and the main reactor room.
80. Added music track as Anakin dies.
81. Added failing force shield to the hangar as Luke leaves with the shuttle.
82. Again, removed Han being jealous of Luke.
83. Replaced music during Anakin’s funeral.

I already like many of the ideas for this edit… Peronally I only use Sony Vegas, so that’s not enough to make radical changes other than color correction and new music tracks.

The one where he tells her about Anakin? If so that would be a interesting look. Im curious to see that. And i was trying to get the look and color from Empire and Force awakens. I haven’t added flicker to the sabers yet tho. Still so much to do

Yep, that’s the scene. But it looked soooo bad. I love that scene, I think the acting is quite good, the score is a wonderul crescendo, etc. But despite the emotional weight, it’s set during a sunny day. It kinda breaks the pathos.
In my previous edits I just changed the colors to make it look like it’s set during evening/night, but that’s all.

To be fair it’s obvious that his face was inserted onto a random Jedi

I don’t know… I notice it because I KNOW it is edited. Otherwise I don’t think I’d notice it too much. He appears just in a couple of scenes (maybe just one), and I’m already used to odd faces because of CG Yoda.
Personally, I would already find it acceptable the way it is now.

Considering that in a previous ROTS edit of mine I tried to add rain in the background of the Obi Wan/Padmé scene (and failed), I like how it looks.
The lightsabers actually look somewhat similar to Anakin’s lightsaber in the sequel trilogy, so IMO they look really cool.

Jedi Dooku looks surprisingly well, IMHO!
And I’m in love with the new Coruscant balcony.

Amazing. Cutting out the obvious connection between the Sith and the Federation adds another subtle plot twist in EpIII.
Maybe you could show a clip or even just some screenshots?
