^^ Co....You've just summed up my points on TPM 100%. That's how I describe the film to my friends when they go on about how bad TPM is.
I too felt that Lucas gave his heart and soul into that film, trying to make it the best he possibly could (there's no denying the shear amount of detail and hard work put into that film) that he must have been truly heartbroken to have it slammed the way it was.
Then to make 2 & 3 for the 'fans'. The same fans that slated him in the first place. I dunno, I feel sorry for the guy. I actually prefer TPM to that pile of crap AOTC. Out of all 3 prequels I find myself watching Sith more than the other two these days.

Burton's films are good though.
The other two I couldn't give a monkeys about, but I really do like Batman Returns.

Anyhoo, I just thought the concept looked pretty cool. I know it's a bit 'Species' like, but at least it looks a little more "Alieny" than the chick did in that film. Although all the nakedness was nice

OK, I'm on a roll now after watching SW last night.
One thing that bothers me (not really, but hey) is the Gold pilots voices on the trench run. Two of them sound identical. I seem to remember them being different on the old pre SE VHS copies (and TV version).
Stupid question I know, but is this also something you've sorted out?

Ok Ady, after watching Star Wars on ITV just now it's made me remember one tiny little mistake (sort of).

Trash compactor scene. 3PO is trying to shut down the mashers....cut to scene with the droids and you here "no, shut them all down" as a reply to R2. But we don't actually here anything from R2.
Are you gonna stick a beep in there? I know it's small and picky, but seeing how others here are chucking in their observations, I thought I'd might as well. This and the sand on the Wookies foot...that's all I have. Seeing how you're trying to make this perfect...well y'know!!

Just think of Luke & Han fighting in ROTJ and how you would feel, that is what Anakin/Obiwan fight should have been like.

I finally wanted to see Anakin as cool superstar jedi, and not in the Han Solo cool, but the 'golden boy' cool that many athletes are like. I wanted him to be a premadonna, as he would be someone who you would want to be cause he was sauve and confident, and his arrogance would eventually be his undoing, not his stupidity as portrayed in Episode III.

Lucas wasted too much time in Episode I & II, as they just seem like exposition to the real story in Episode III, and I honestly think if he really started the PT movies with Anakin & ObiWan flying in this huge space battle in Episode I the same way he started with Episode III, and eliminated the crap like Jar Jar Binks, many fans would have really enjoyed the PT, and would probably say the OT is still better, but the PT is still good.
