Star Wars 9 Film Saga... Abrams Edition?
Time

The difference is that the storytelling in the prequels is shot straight to hell. All the careful editing in the world can't save scenes that are filled to overflowing with non-sequitur dialogue. Pay attention to those scenes some time, the stuff people say is often followed up by completely illogical replies.

If Abrams (or someone else) must deal with the prequels at all, I'd actually prefer a reboot of them.

Spot on.

I don't mean "Great!" as in, 'Great Britain' or 'Alfred The Great' or 'The Great Train Robbery'...

...I mean more, "That was a great sandwich" lol

When your talking in terms of someone's talent in what they do then it is pertinent. Who's regarded as a great footballer, Lionel Messi or Ryan Shawcross? Great in terms of talent means you are talking in terms of the 'best' in that field. Not, "oh man I just had a great shit."

Hayden is an actor, that is all. The others, Portman, Mcgregor, Neeson are 'good' actors. Jackson is a 'great' actor. Much the same as Pacino, De Niro and Nicholson are 'great' actors. The only other 'great' actors to have ever been in Star Wars are Mcguiness and Mcdairmid. That word is banded about too often are far as actors are concerned nowadays with no real substance that it is a deserved description.

Somebody Announces Something New about Star Wars!

Speaking for myself, post ROTJ was pretty much a barren wasteland as far as Star Wars goes. Sure I still had my toys, the films on video, but that was pretty much it. The EU didnt interest me. And as I grew older the toys ended up in the attic and forgotten and the films gathered dust under the TV. The Super Star Wars series on the SNES or watching any of the OT (usually ANH or ESB) on a morning after a rave drug comedown with friends was what Star Wars had come to be in my life. Childhood memories and occasional 'cool' nostalgia...Then came rumours of a prequel trilogy in the late 90's. Everyone was 'Shit! New Star Wars!! We'll definitely have to go and see them when they come out.' One of my mates starting getting designs for tanks and other stuff of the Internet and the poster of Vaders shadow behind the kid came out and my interest was turned up to 11!..and..ahem...yeah...Now finally a sequel trilogy! Bring it on. Surely the franchise can't go beyond nadir? That's impossible isn't it???

Opinions are like a***holes. Everybody's got one.

That may well be your opinion but it's not accurate.

I find that mildly pretentious Bingo

I knew that there were people without arseholes before I posted so while I may be pretentious It's difficult to see how you came to that conclusion based on that information, let alone how you gauged the level of your perceptions my pretension as mild.

In my opinion you find me generally mildly pretentious and you have just taken advantage of that post to declare you previous arrived at conclusion.

People without arseholes? How do they defecate? Lol

I'm really not excited about this.  I hate CGI.  I hate the prequels.  I hate George Lucas.  I hate Disney.  I hate Return of the Jedi.  I hate J. J. Abrams.  I hate Star Trek.  I hate modern science-fiction.  I hate action.  I hate Kathleen Kennedy.  I hate humor.  I hate new.  I will find some reason to moan and complain about anything new about Star Wars, because it's not the original Star Wars (not A New Hope) or The Empire Strikes Back, even if I haven't seen the new project.  I just know it will suck!

Everything alright at home?

Star Wars prequels were mapped out in 1981, only nothing like the way they turned out

In my ideal PT Yoda isn't even in it.

We are are obviously meant to be surprised by Yoda's appearance in ESB so the PT spoils the surprise.

I think that point depends if you watch the movies in chronological order or not. Me personally, 4-6 and then (begrudgingly) 1-3. And I would certainly propose to anyone who hasn't seen Star Wars to watch them in that order. As for Yoda, I was one of those people in the cinema who was saddened to see him bouncing of the walls and spinning around everywhere.

Apologies for calling you an ignorant twat Bingowings btw.
