The watermark plague. Ugh.
The watermark plague. Ugh.
It's been confirmed.

Well, this is a forum named Original Trilogy, so it would attract anyone who prefers the Original Unaltered Star Wars Trilogy, and as the creator of Star Wars is in conflict with this segment of fans, it is only natural for animosity to be the result.
That's true of course, but there are plenty of constructive ways to come together around the OT (see despecialized edition). And this whole Lucas-bashing is unbelievably old and dull. It's not a crime committed by everyone here, but it is pervasive nonetheless, and there seems to be moderation of the tone here.
It seems every time I come back here to check out the latest from the greatest, the level of aggression and cynicism has grown exponentially. I know it's the Internet, but aren't we here because we supposedly like this whole Star Wars thing?
Yeah, there're a lot of issues of contention in the world of Star Wars, but when one of the recent threads practically pleads with people to not say anything negative, what does that say about the general vibe around here?
Anyway, just an observation.
Nope. Check the upload date: 2008.
Dale Pollock.
I listened to the whole thing while watching the movie, and it was great. Some great observations, some truly funny bits (zink!) and worth a couple of bucks for sure.
Did he ever go to Norway for the shooting of Empire? I don't recall seeing photos of him there; only of Kurtz and Kersh.
Are there any copies of Lucas’s 1967 student film The Emperor floating around? It seems it surfaces on rare occasions for theatre showings, but beyond that it’s something of a ghost.
I’ve had luck finding ghosts before on OT.com though, so here’s hoping.
Hear hear.
Well, it's not so odd if he's old and grumpy, now that he has inconsiderate nerds jumping out in front of him with a camera shouting about: "Ehm, ehm, Harrison, and ehm, Carrie and... Ah, Harrison and ehm, Carrie and ...."
Do us all a favor, sit down, and shut up.
Where are those clips from?
It's 'HEhellhell No'; get it right.
:)
Zombie seems to be off the grid these days.
Brian DePalma studied in New York, Lucas in California. When and how did they meet?
I have a sneaking suspicion that he met him through Supersnipe's owner, Edward Summer, who was friends with DePalma (and helping him on The Phantom of Paradise around 1974). Anyone have a contradicting story?
Trolls, trolls, everywhere I look.
Well... no... but if I didn't, you sure did just now.
I like it when she, his girlfriend, says that she's learned from him to simply let things go.
...
Really? From GWL? He taught you that? The guy who built a business empire, because he couldn't accept the changes made to his films?
...
Alright.
It looks like it might've been filmed during post, as all the models are done, and the guys seem to be 'acting' their trying to figure out the shots; yet there is almost no footage from Empire in there at all.
I thought I'd seen everything, but I hadn't seen this one before, though it's been on YouTube for almost a year. I'd love to see a fan effort to subtitle it.
Whatever you may think of that game, it literally brings Star Wars beyond parody.
Ach, sorry, my bad. I meant Hildebrandt.
Same poster as Style A, but in a different design. What's the deal? Easier/cheaper to print?
Any advice in terms of price or sellers?
But in this case, there's no reason it couldn't have kept working. Doing 301 redirects would be an easy solution.
Well he's right, in that it is a lengthy book (and it does repeat itself sometimes).
It just seems like he isn't really that taken with the narrative of the story's development over the years, which personally, even though I think of myself as very well versed in the lore of it all, I thought was fantastic and very insightful, not to mention entertaining. And also he just doesn't seem to like the painstaking forensic approach Michael took, which to me is the very reason the book is so compelling.
